I want to give a shout out to Alexa (To) Nguyen for my eyebrows! I have been contemplating getting microblading for a couple years but always was nervous since I wasn't sure if it was too much for my face. I have hair but it's light and the shape wasn't very good. I finally let Alexa convince me to do my eyebrows. She suggested I do nano brows vs. microblading. She said nano would look more natural and would last longer. Well let me just say the procedure was pain free and she really took the time to draw out my eyebrows and get my input before starting. I am so glad I did this and really love my new brows! I didn't know what a difference it would make and how it really framed my face. It's been about a week and even though it's still healing I love them more and more! Thao Thanh - name of the salon stylist - who did my hair was rude and unprofessional . All of them no improvement and so rude to customers . They used bad products, they used poor quality shampoo and hair dye for customers and charge very expensive price. my hair was dry and fell out a lot after that. They used poor quality and expired hair dye on my hair. They are people who work with no professional conscience and no ethics. Never again. The lady which goes by the name Dreamy, owner of the hair salon & eyebrow tattoos at Eden Center, Falls Church, VA, is very shady in the way she does her business. First, she ONLY TAKES CASH for eyebrow work, and she gets plenty of referrals besides her recuring clients. Each time she charges a minimum of $300 for first eyebrow tattoo then she charges an additional $150 for touch up within the 6 weeks after the 1rst service. The problem I have been having with her each time and for the last 5 years is that she leaves uncolored or lightly colored spots on my eyebrows on purpose to make me return first for touch up then to have them tattooed again from scratch within one year. Once she said, "that's how I make money." No shame, cold bold face woman! I thought, tricking customers who need her service is not right." read more

I have had my brows done by another person who has moved out of the area. When I arrived Dream did a consult first and told me that I would benefit in doing Ombré shading instead of microblading related to my oily skin. Also the cost was cheaper. Dream Salon is my go to place for my hair coloring and cuts in the DMV area. I moved here 1.5 years ago and was really looking for a good Asian hair dresser. A few friends in the area recommended Dream Salon. I got highlights done and the color was perfect! I get a lot of compliments on my hair color from friends, family and even strangers! My first hair cut there was by Dreamy herself, and in a few snips of the scissors she gave my flat, straight Asian hair a lot more bounce & volume than it had. I didn't give her too many specifics but she just did her thing and it looked great. I've been going back for the last year regularly to touch up my roots & highlights and it comes out really nicely each time. The first highlight color was by a guy there (don't know his name)- he did an amazing job. He was so patient and slowly highlighted my hair really well. The last few times my color has been done by Dreamy's sister, Alyssa/Elisa (spelling?) and she also does a really good job and is very meticulous. Thao has been helping with hair washing and she treats my hair nicely (full wash with shampoo, conditioner and some head massage). They also do after-cut styling however you want- straight or curly. Prices are great when you compare with salons in DC (obviously). Call for prices- depends on long or short hair for cut. Highlights cost me $75. FYI, they speak English well which is great because I am not Vietnamese and the language barrier is a problem for me with other stores (food/bakeries) in Eden Center TIPS Call for appointment! They get busy and only take walk ins if they are "free" but always better to call ahead. read more

this place is a hidden gem. They are so sweet and accommodating. Got my eyebrows tattooed again since the old ones faded. I wanted to get the realistic tattooed brows but she told me i couldn't do it bc basically you cant tattoo strands of hair on top of a base that has been already tattooed. Made sense and it was $50 cheaper. She basically down sold herself. on top of that she fixed my old brows and did a little cover up to make it match. fast forward about 2.5 months. i told her i had exactly 1 hr to do touch ups since I had to go get my daughter from school. I'm trying to grow my hair out, so I've been here only a couple of times to keep my layers trimmed. The place is small, however well organized and with private rooms for waxing and permanent eyebrows. My hair always looks great after a cut. Honestly, Dreamy can work those scissors because I don't have to ever do anything to up keep my hair and it still looks great weeks after. I would highly recommend. Also I can't speak personally on the permanent eyebrows, but apparently it's THE place to go because they are always booked for permanent make up appointments. Get an Uberif you can. -In a tightly packed Vietnamese shopping center, which is kinda cool -Even if you don't usually do it, keep your GPS turn by turn directions on! -Referred by a person who has been coming to see Dreamy (Mo) for years. -Hard to find photos of eyebrow work anywhere (Instagram, Yelp) who was sure she could fix a microblading session from another technician that went horribly wrong. Like, Angry Birds wrong... -Numbed immediately for procedure -Went through options extremely quickly after technician looked at year-old, failed microblading -Technician does not have photos posted but has eyepad full of photos to review at shop. -Given bottles of water upon request -Technician drew in brows with ruler and great skill; you can tell she's been doing this for a very long time -showed potential outcomes using makeup; adjusted accordingly -Went light to allow her to darken brows later if desired -Noted that tattoo will shrink as it heals so brows will add thickness later, if needed -Extremely satisfied with initial results -Correction went very well. Dreamy is a pro! -The speed at which she works is a reflection of her experience, not inattentiveness to your needs. She has genuinely seen it all. My hunt for a good salon and makeup artist is over, this is it. My long hunt for a decent salon has sent me to a fair share of salons, ranging from American to Asian (Korean and Vietnamese mainly). There was always something lacking in the service I received. My salon woes included unfriendly staff, ignoring my requests to do their own thing, or there were language barriers that prevented me from getting the service and hairstyle I was hoping for. A friend of mine originally recommended Dreamy (Chi Mo, pronounced "Muh") for her makeup services, which is phenomenal in my opinion. Coming into her salon to place my wedding makeup deposit, I decided to also get my hair done. My hair came out better than I've ever seen it, as it was shiny and bouncy, and the service I received was terrific. My wedding hair/makeup also did not disappoint, as I had my hair and makeup done by Mo on three separate occasions: pre-wedding photo session, wedding day, and post-wedding photo session. I received tons of compliments on the day of the wedding and from those who've looked through our photos. I've also referred quite a few of my friends and family members to Dream Salon for their wedding hair/makeup services, all of which were very pleased with the results. After years and years of drawing/filling in my nonexistent eyebrows (due to over plucking as a teenager) I finally decided to pull the trigger on getting my eyebrows tattooed. My girlfriend went to Alexa a week before me and I absolutely loved the results. I requested to have Alexa do my eyebrows as well and she was amazing - quite the perfectionist. She cleaned, shaped up, and asked me what kind of eyebrows (thinner/thicker/etc.) I had in mind and then started drawing. When she was done, she asked me for my opinion and continued on while taking my comments into consideration. BTW, during this process she takes pictures of your face to make sure they're even. Once we/I was pleased with the shape and after (probaby many) questions, she asked if I wanted the feathered or airbrushed technique and I chose the feathered. She then applied numbing cream and took me to the room. During the tattooing process, she checked on me to make sure I was doing ok and not feeling any pain. I have a pretty high pain tolerance but I must've been bleeding because she decided to apply more numbing cream on my brows. She let me see the finished results of one brow before she moved onto the next. Once she was completely done, she told me how to care for them until they're healed and to come back in 6 weeks for the final touch up. I couldn't be more pleased and it's been almost 2 weeks since I got my eyebrows tattooed. Alexa is the person to go to if you're interested. This place was better she gave me a thicker brow as requested and she took about 40 minutes giving me a brow shape. She is a perfectionist. Very detailed. The tattooing itself did hurt a bit. Dreamy was recommended by a nearby nail technician as a hairdresser. being asian, i find it easier to have a stylist who knows how to deal with commonly flat and limp asian hair esp in the humid summers here. the salon itself is a bit hard to find the 1st time as it is in the interior hallway in Eden Center. but if you are lost and call, they will gladly fetch you from the parking lot as ive seen them do this a few times. its a small place w limited seating and all appointments have to be made in advance. maybe you can get a walk in on a weekday, but weekends? forget it. Dreamy(the stylists name) is a brilliant hair cutter and stylist. weaving volume and waves into my otherwise lackluster hair. she and her sisters run the place and they are all walking talking testaments to good hair and good genes. i have had full color as well as summer hities done with great success. i have been stopped and complimented on my hair by total strangers more than once as proof of her handiwork. she also does my husbands haircuts and when he tries to go to a barber they never get his cut as smooth or well gradiated. they also do nails, regular mani/pedis but the girl who does them doesnt come in regularly and if it is slow, either of the sisters will do it as well. it is also a destination for permanenent make up, and thats a separate private room for eyebrow and lip tattoos. ive never tried it, but i see many ladies are long term clients and are all satisfied customers. Their english is a bit limited, Dreamy being the most conversant, but pointing out a picture of what you want alwyas helps. besides they are all so freindly and accomodating that its alwyas a pleasure to deal with them. they get backed up sometimes and you have to wait. if there more than 2 of you, probably better to stroll around Eden ctr or grab a smoothie from the many cafes nearby. they play vietnamese daytime tv all the time, so bring your ipod for your own music or games. Pricewise, they are more than reasonable at $40 for a shampoo/cut/blowdry for women and $20 for men's cuts. All in all, i wouldnt even think of going to anyone else in Virginia but Dreamy. read more

The woman cutting my hair was rude, inattentive and basically really dismissive. I realize I have scars in the back of my head and have usually relied on the professional judgment of people who cut hair to help me find the ideal length that wouldn't show the scars, instead she sped through the cut the first time, which made it look uneven, so I asked her to try and go shorter to clean it up a bit, instead, I ended up with splotches of skin holes in the back of my head... Every single barber I've ever been to have been good in providing recommendations for an ideal length, but she was so unsure of herself and unhelpful, even going as far as criticizing me for not telling her how to cut my hair, when I deferred to her professional judgment for a haircut. Worse part: the haircut was just as expensive than the ones I got in DC, except the service here is twice as bad and the lack of attention/judgment disappointing. Don't go here. I was referred to the Dream Salon by my Baltimore aesthetician who has flawless eyebrows designed by Dream (Mo). Mo began the process with a consultation then scheduling. Once scheduled she was so accommodating, she adjusted her schedule to meet my travel and work needs; my brows were done 5days early! My process began with a measurement of eyes and eyebrows, then pencil and shading recommendations were made as part of my second consultation. There where multiple pictures taken, with additional measure made using an alignment software. She started with a numbing cream, using a single blade, she patiently sculpted my brows for the microblading technique. Throughout the process, Mo checked in with me, made sure I was comfortable, provided additional numbing cream, gave me pillows and allowed me to view her progress. Additionally, Mo barely touched my face! I could not even tell she was there. The experience was effortless. Went there today for the first time needing a reshape, recolored on my old tattooed eyebrows, Alexa is AMAZING!!!!!! She is such a perfectionist. We spent about an hr drawing a few different shape that would look best with my face structure. Alexa made sure it was drawn to perfection. When it was time to do the actual tattooing, she took her time to make sure both eyebrows were evenly tattooed and evenly had the proper ink to it. During the tattooing she kept asking if i was ok, hurting, so she could apply more numbing cream. She was so wonderful!
