They cook on an open grill with gas and it is fun to see your dinner getting prepared. The grill is next to the oyster shucking bench. One guy shucks and guy cooks. If you go, make sure you order the Cajun oysters that they cook on the grill. They are on the half sheel, with some seasoning--OMG are they good. I usually eat a dozen in about 90 seconds and I am trying to take my time. This last trip -Halloween night-- I ordered 1/2 dozen and the waitress asked what was a wrong with me? You know that won;t work, she said, get the dozen. I did and she was right..Yum. Their dozen is 13 to 15 oysters. I watched as the oysters were cooking and was actually drooling this last visit. The taste just lingers in my body. I could go on, but it is a great restaurant to eat and chat, the cook loves to talk college football, he is big Alabama supporter. The only down side, is they are only open Wed thru Saturday. But, if you can make a living by working 4 days a week, more power to you.

I recommend trying at least one of their signature cocktails, though, because there are some really neat options! The only downside is the limited seating, which can be annoying if they are super busy. If you get a table or a seat at the bar, you'll have an amazing time. Otherwise, you might be standing along the wall waiting for a spot to open up. That's a risk that's probably worth taking, though, given how great the atmosphere will be while you're here!
