Food and drinks were the best!!! Stick to it though, it can be hard to find but it's worth it

We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful server. The location is off the street just a bit, and i wonderfully decorated. The food was some of the best we've ever had. The sticky toffee pudding was superb and the hamburger was brilliant. We will definitely return here. read more

I have eaten here twice and found it to be very lovely. Tough to find down an alley but you will be glad you looked. Tried the burger and it was great, another member of our party had the soup - roasted root vegetables and it was spiced perfectly. Good service and great staff, wonderful stop for lunch. read more

Love it. Down a "Close" - lane- off high street. Sampled specialties: pork roll; mac and cheese ( two different kinds of local cheddar cheese and home made mustard--- delicious!; pork belly with creamed celeriac and puréed apple and thyme sauce, --sophisticated flavors also delicious; very good burgers and chips; very friendly helpful service; quiet and charming. read more

Small menu with not a lot of variety, but what they do provide is always well prepared and delicious. Service is absolutely amazing even when you've got a table full of drunk Americans probably making their job a whole lot harder than usual. Will definitely go back just for the atmosphere and gray people. read more

Firstly yes it's a oasis, chilled, loose yourself with great coffee/ drinks. Food. Second albeit time of year but, some of female staff are ignorant, plain rude unless you are ordering food. A table had been booked( took up 1/2 of pub ) come on, So Staff can be rude, unless you ordered food, or you have to be crammed at bar as its too busy, but remember FOOD order gets top service, just a pint on way home , your scum read more

Neat little place up a little stone-arched alley. Away from typical tourists. Great food, huge variety of liquor and scotch/whisky. I would definitely recommend going. They can accommodate small or large groups. read more

Great little find in Elgin! We walked around at 5:30pm and thought everything was closed or takeout tandoori, then stumbled on this back alley gem! Locally sourced, great daily menu items. We had the scallops and burger and both were really tasty. Friendly staff, good vibe. Must visit! read more
