My sister and I stopped in for lunch. It was a beautiful spot to stop and have a bite to eat and enjoy the view of the ocean. At night this place can get busy and the life of the party but we found it to also be a nice quiet place for lunch. The service was quick and our server was very friendly and helpful. We got the two-for-one margaritas and were able to try a variety of margaritas and honestly I don't think you could go wrong with flavor. If you like a sweeter margarita, I'd recommend one of the frozen options. If you like to taste the alcohol then a classic margarita may be more your style. They have so many delicious lunch options, but my sister and I decided to split the Al Pastor Tacos and the Beef Empanadas, both of which were amazing! Seating was plentiful on a Friday lunch. Our waitress was efficient and polite. We sat inside by a big ceiling fan. We ordered the beef empanadas which were tasty and shareable. Daughter picked the Birria tacos which she liked, but I found a little greasy. Husband ordered the fish tacos which he thought were average. So I saw this place just walking by and was really in the mood for some tacos so we came in and sat down and I had a "Painkiller" (that was the name of the drink) and Mahi Tacos. These tacos were phenomenal, the tacos had that fish taste but not in a bad way, it tasted very healthy I love when you can make fish taste really well and this place did it really good. The pain killer drink was very good as well but you can't have too many of these cause it has an added 151 Rum shot in it. We also shared a slice of Key Lime Pie because I have never had it before and it was very delicious. Only a short walk from my hotel, I stopped by the Drunken Taco for dinner. The majority of the seating is on the outside, but there is bar seating. It took a while for a server to come to me, as you seat yourself. Their $9.99 large margarita (I ordered the Blue Wave, but they come in 4 varieties) hit the spot. While they have weekly specials and happy hour all day, be aware that 2 for 1 items are per person (like you and a friend can't get 2 giant margaritas and just pay for one). OK, OK, we've all seen a dodgy restroom or two in our time...so don't let that stop you from visiting The Drunken Taco. I'm a glass half full kind of girl so let's just say if I was stuck in a cubicle with my horse, we could still get out under the door! We dropped in on Thursday for a quick beer and $4.95 street corn which incidentally was incredible!!! We ended up staying ALL day drinking Pina Coladas and eating corn chips! With a very relaxed Tiki bar vibe with a view to die for and Jamaican music that just makes you want to eat and drink forever, we easily met some like minded new friends and laughed for hours! The best part though, was our fabulous server: the lovely Tashi from Nepal. Our glasses were never empty, our table was immediately cleared & tidied (over and over), and she was absolutely lovely...a refreshing change from the "attitude" of most staff in Miami & Brickell. They have a 2 for 1 margarita special or you can upgrade your margarita to a double if you just want one. Hubby got one and upgraded it to a double. He said it was good but not impressive. He ordered queso and chips as well. It looked beautiful. It tasted like velveeta rotel dip..... Biggest draw to me is you have to pay for water bottles. $3. Can't go wrong with the fish tacos (MaHi was an up charge). Don't expect authentic Mexican food- it is very commercialized. But you're right on Ft. The food was good, but I had problems with the billing. My food purchases were $79.00. The restaurant automatically puts 16% tip on bill. They put $16.50 on my bill. I assume they make you tip on full price rather than discounted price. The tax was $7.50. The charge was $119.50. Even with all these charges, my bill should have been $105.50. Beware, I don't mind being charged all the fees, but I don't think you should pay a tip on the discounts or tax. I was charged $20 extra. I feel cheated!!! read more

Location and view were top notch. It was right across the street from Las Olas beach where we spent some time walking on the beach, which was nice. Prices were VERY touristy, almost shockingly, but I guess you're paying for the location as part of your drink price. For four, better quality mezcal margaritas, it was $120, tip included. I noticed at the bottom of the menu it said, your bill will include 16% gratuity. This is an over priced (even for the area) excuse for a tourist trap...at best. Where to start...dirty, that's a good place to start. The tables where sticky, messy and generally looked dated...from around the late 70's. The whole area smelled of dirty bar towels and soured liquor, which is truly unexpected from an open air restaurant on the beach. Next...the margaritas were horrible. To the point of almost being undrinkable. We ordered two flavors, both of which tasted nothing like the names would have you assume. One tasted of cheap (or fresh, but beyond its date) sweet and sour mixed with the floral scent of off the shelf turpentine. The other had less of the mix, more of the turpentine! The yucca sticks are ok, but just ok. I can get a whole bag of them at any local markets freezer section for $3.99. The "dipping sauce" was over bearing and crude, over powering the sticks completely even with a small amount. The Korean Tacos, well, they were edible. The tortillas were standard, food supplier tortillas. The chicken was no different than the "grilled chicken fajita" meat from the center isle at Walmart. It has NO place in a restaurant, none. No flavor, dry and spongy (how can something be both dry and spongy, scientist have yet to explain that!)...not a good base for any dish. The accoutrements were decent and fresh, how ever, not what I'd typically expect on a Korean taco...many of which I have had. The sauce was store bought, but not awful. Our server did his best and he did (kinda) warn us, so we should have said no thank you and walked away! He did a great job and tried to make it a pleasant visit, he is the reason there wasn't a 1 attached to this reviews. Great view, good service...that's where the compliments end! This is one of the few establishments we will not probably return to. For a $100 tab we received a saddening, disgusting, fresh from the freeze truck excuse for a meal...even without the stomach sour drink "special", we paid too much.
