Great service! Bartenders are fl quick and friendly. Food comes out in a decent amount of time. There are water stations near the bar, with fresh lemons and limes to keep you hydrated. You can eat at a table, eat at the bar or even order food to your poolside chairs or BEACH SIDE chairs! They have quite the food menu. The wings looked awesome, the Caesar wrap was huge and the pizzas look big enough to share for two people. The Cuban was a big portion. The Java a selection of drinks- mocktails, cocktails, beers and wine. I enjoyed a glass of sparkling rose and my husband had a local isla morada beer. Great views of the pool, light music playing, a relaxed atmosphere. Bathrooms are right inside the hotel. It's on the Mezzanine level. There's a walkway to the beach from the pool. Service was quick, efficient with friendly staff. We attempted to order the chicken wings, but the chicken wing truck had not arrived to deliver their wings. We settled for the chicken quesadilla which was actually very tasty. Had plenty of cheese and chicken tucked inside. The quesadilla came with some pico, aioli, guacamole and sour cream. We will have to stand by to stand by to see if the chicken wing truck makes the delivery today. read more

Waves Pool bar is the standard hotel pool restaurant. I ordered the grouper sandwich, which was okay but didn't particularly stand out. The drinks were good but overpriced. However, the woman bartender was extremely friendly and quick. The ambiance was lively and enjoyable, especially with the DJ spinning tunes on a Saturday afternoon. We were attending an event at the Westin for a couple days and stopped by Waves for lunch both times. We were lucky enough to be graced by Michelle's presence both times. She's great! She works hard, she's funny, and she knows how to have a conversation. If everyone was like Michelle, we'd all be better off in the world.... The potato chips are really good too. The views don't hurt either My only complaint with this place would be that I tried proposing to the manager but she turned me down. That's probably more on me than her though. read more

The waitresses walking out to the pool bar seemed to only have a magnetic pull to one group of people and wouldn't even turn to walk 2 chairs down. After 25 minutes of sitting with the menu, I went up to the bar and just ordered. I got the grilled chicken with the cheese and while I thought it was to be served just like that but it was actually a sandwich? I just ended up eating it without and the chicken was pretty good! My mojito was fairly strong as well. The beauty of this "pool bar" was the view. But honestly, I was hoping for something more on the food side. The poolside drinks were great and they had tables and chairs outside. They also had a bar both inside and out. I just wish they had better food. I know it's a beach and pool bar and nachos are about the size of what people want while drinking but I was looking for something more. Staying at the Westin, I decided to stay indoors for awhile to get out of the heat and had read that this place was an indoor/outdoor bar. I waited indoors sitting at the counter where there were menus and silverware set out. After waiting 20 minutes and watching an employee walk in and out of the back room not saying a word to me I decided to leave. I guess you had to be by the pool to get service. I was surprised because this is not the quality of a Westin and certainly not of a Marriott. One of the bartenders was nice the first two days and was nice enough to call up to our room at the Westin because we forgot to close out our tab. She then asked if we wanted to add gratuity and I said no, because we had tipped her earlier when we got the drinks and she just hung up before I could say anything. When you're on vacation shitty service is the worse thing ever and especially when you payed great money to stay and eat here.
