Nice hotel as you enter Dundee, OR. Service is friendly and efficient. Room is large, though the layout is slightly odd. You have a nice sofa and table area, a separate dining area (round table with 4 chairs), the bed is tucked away and then the TV is at the very far wall at a slight angle (making it a little off to watch TV from bed). The room is clean and well stocked. Good location as well as it's shares the parking lot with multiple tasting rooms and a restaurant on site. read more

The Dundee is the place to be when you're staying in wine country We stayed here whilst enjoying all the Willamette Valley has to offer, and it's definitely now our go-to hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. My partner forgot his slippers and they provided a new pair in just a few hours. They also stored our wine for us to ensure it stayed cool before we checked out. The room and adjoining bathroom were very spacious. The hotel itself was quiet, provided water and fresh fruit, and had games you could play such as Monopoly and Clue. They also had free coffee in the morning in the lobby, and had an adjoining restaurant and bar which we didn't get to try out, but heard it's a local favorite. They also have several tasting rooms on the same property, so the wine options are endless. The hotel is located on a main street and is very accessible to lots of Willamette Valley. read more

Wanting to experience several new vineyards in Willamette Valley without having to worry about driving back to Portland after lots of wine tasting, we booked rooms at the Dundee Inn. Centrally located, it's the perfect location. Fabulous restaurants - Tina's, the Painted Lady, The Dundee Bistro - just a few blocks away dozens of wineries and vineyards just minutes away. You can book tastings and need less than 10 minutes to get from one to the next. The hotel is more than adequate. Rooms weren't huge, but the size was all that was needed. Clean, nicely appointed with comfortable bedding, a Keuric coffee maker, with an air conditioner and heating unit that worked and was silent! If you are lucky, even views of the rolling hills. Tons of road construction on. Highway 99 when we were there (May 2021) and while they warned us that the work happens at night, we didn't hear anything. Huge parking lot, elevator to second floor, friendly staff - everything one needs to make your stay in Dundee convenient and affordable. My rating of 5 stars is based on the total experience for this type of hotel. Meaning, it's not classified as a 5* hotel, like a Ritz Carlton, for example, so I'm comparing it with other hotels in their category. Will most definitely be returning without hesitation. read more

The Dundee is the absolutely perfect place to stay in wine country!!!! My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. We stayed in the King Suite which is an absolutely beautiful room. The decor is wine country modern. Pristine clean. Extremely Dog friendly for good behaved pooches like our 12 year old Boston Terrier. We found our room to not only be esthetically pleasing but super comfortable as well. The luxurious king bed had a wonderful mattress, soft linens and blankets. Very clean smelling and not that overwhelming bleach smell like some hotels. The powder room had a huge walk in shower. High end shampoo, conditioner and body soap provided. The towels were thick, new, and plush. Lots of nice natural light in the room. Very nice AC for hot days. We had a very nice, quiet stay. The staff of the hotel are genuinely kind and awesome. Very accommodating! Across the way is a little dog park area to walk the fur babies. Wine tasting rooms in walking distance as well as a great restaurant, Field and Stream. 5 star lodging. The Dundee is a lovely small hotel with wine tasting rooms on the 1st floor and hotel rooms on the second floor. The rooms and bed are very comfortable and the the bathrooms are nice as well. While the rooms were very nice, we found the hotel amenities and service lacking - the on site restaurant was closed (permanently?) and the all but one of the wine tasting rooms closed by 5 p.m. Cougarcrest closed at 6 p.m. and while the wine library should have been open until 7, we were told they were closing early because it was a Sunday (over a holiday weekend?). The location for The Dundee is wonderful - convenient to wineries and restaurants. Easy free parking. Staff is friendly when they're around, but the front desk sat largely unattended during our visit. Lack of daily service was blamed on Covid, but it would have been nice for them to offer additional coffee K-cups, toiletries, etc. And not having robes in the rooms for a hotel that expensive seemed unusual. Overall it was a nice experience, but would have been nice for them to do a little better. read more

We LOVE staying at the Dundee! We live about 5 miles away, so we generally stay here when we need a quick overnight staycation. The rooms are HUGE, styled modern wine country, and have lots of great touches. Last time we checked in we had a bottle of wine and a handwritten note. The front desk staff is always friendly, helpful, and follow all safety precautions. Often times there are local winery / restaurant specials or offers. The location is perfect for dining, wine tasting, and just chilling. The rooms are SUPER QUIET too - you would never know that you're next to a highway. HIGHLY recommend! Disclaimer: To understand this review you must understand that this property is in the middle of Oregon wine country. Dundee offers NOTHING else. If you aren't staying because you're visiting wine country, then you must have family in Dundee that you're visiting. Considering this, wine should play a huge part in the overall experience (in my opinion). So on with the review... My wife and I decided to stay here for one night while visiting wine country. We live in Portland, so it wasn't really necessary to stay, but we decided to anyway. The lobby isn't really a lobby. It's just a foyer with a tall desk on it. That said, when we arrived it was staffed and check-in was fast. We were disappointed to learn that the four tasting rooms closed at 5pm because check-in time isn't even until 4pm. Because of this, we never got to take advantage of the adjoined tasting rooms. The room was generally nice. It was fairly modern, but it really lacked some very specific things that would have led to a better experience. 1) There is no mini-fridge. At first this may not seem like a big deal, but when you are visiting wine country you may well come back to the room with a nice chardonnay that you want to enjoy later or some artisan foods. Unfortunately, unlike virtually every hotel room I've ever stayed in, there is no mini-fridge so there is no way to chill your wine or preserve any food you buy. In my opinion, this is a MASSIVE oversight for a wine-region facility. I'd also like to point out that this has been brought up in MANY, MANY reviews, but they still do nothing about it. 2) They were thoughtful enough to include a wine opener in the room, but... It is the worst imaginable type of wine opener there is. It makes opening a bottle extremely difficult and you have a good chance of breaking the cork. Again, if this was a beach-side inn or a metropolitan hotel, I wouldn't mark them down for this, but this is WINE COUNTRY and providing a horrible wine opener shows a complete lack of consideration for their target audience. 3) The heater is ill-conceived. A heater disguised as a picture? How interesting. Too bad it doesn't work well. When first turning it on it turned the room into a sauna. We used the remote to reduce the target heat from 70 to 60, but it never turned off. After about an hour we started hitting button after button and finally got it to shut off, but then it wouldn't come back on. The room was extremely cold by the time we woke up and turning the temperature back up didn't make it kick on. We had to again punch a bunch of buttons before it would finally come to life. And to be clear, I build my own computers so I'm not technically inept. This is just a bad system. 4) The bathroom door wouldn't latch. No matter how hard you pushed the door from the inside, or even slammed it, the door latch would not catch in the jamb. Not a huge deal when you're a couple or by yourself, but I think it's reasonable to not want anyone, even your significant other, to walk in while you are using the facilities. Again... This is a lack of attention to detail. The only other thing I would mention is that when we tried to check out there was nobody at the front desk. There was a sign at the front desk saying they were off helping someone else. When they showed up, we realized the gentleman was not actually helping another guest, but rather was flirting with a member of the house-cleaning staff in the hallway outside our room when we were leaving. So in the end everything I just wrote is pretty meaningless. IF you want to stay in the area you don't have many options. It's really just this place or a B&B. So it is a fairly clean place, but way over-priced for what you get and the lack of attention to detail. But stop at the restaurant for sure. It's great! read more

We booked this hotel for a wedding and booked two nights back in March. When we arrived to check in this last weekend, they did NOT have our reservation on file. Needless to say, the bride was quite mad. Brandon was working and he was great, he is saving his review from receiving 1 star. He was able to find us a room (and the room next door for an extra bathroom) for that night that all of us (5 bridesmaids and bride) to stay in. He was more than accommodating with our requests and letting us choose which room(s) fit our needs best. He brought us extra blankets and pillows, a vase, glasses etc. Kudos to Brandon for sure!!! The next day they were able to figure it out with giving us the same room for the next night even though they said they were fully booked for Saturday. That we appreciated since all of us planned on going back to the room after the wedding that night. Overall though, if the reservation issue hadn't come up, I would of given the hotel 5 stars. The beds were comfy, they are sleep number beds and the linens were nice. There was an annoying little ticking sound at night that came from the AC unit but I was able to tune that out. I was blown away by their staff. I can honestly say this is the best customer service I've ever had. Location, location, location. My entire criticism of this place is based on the horrendous location. The website shows pictures of a vineyard, a view of trees from a bedroom window, the owners in front of a hay stack...Some seriously false advertising. What the website does not show you is that the Inn is directly on the highway, in a sort of stripmall. The Inn/Restaurant are between a real estate agency and a bank, and sandwiched between the highway and a huge parking lot. We were extremely disappointed. We didn't drive out to wine country and spend $159 on a room to have a view of a parking lot. The Inn itself is well kept. Our room was large and comfortable. None of this could make up for how disappointed we were at the location though. I felt like we were in the suburbs. read more

OK, this place isn't nearly as bad as people are saying. yes, the location sucks...in the sense that yes it's right on highway 99 and yes it has some other businesses on the first floors. It's not quiet. But... Rooms are big and so comfy. Nice kind bed, big lounge area to relax in. So nice. Bathrooms are well equipped and roomy...big shower, big vanity, tons of in-room towels. Front desk service was very nice & helpful. Restaurant below (Paulee) is quite good. Was there for dinner...Amazing wine selection, great service, and good food. I am very impressed with the Inn at Red Hills! I travel a lot for work and really appriciate the little touches that make this place so cozy and not miss my own bed! I did not want to get out of the bed this morning (they actually have sleep number matresses and SUPER comfy pillow and bedding) Large rooms, Huge showers, nicer soaps that I even buy myself, the towels are another favorite, you don't see that touch in many hotels. Also- free wifi. They really do a nice job and the restaurant is amazing to top it off. Great find in Dundee! I will become a regular here!! So close to the wineries. SCORE! read more

Great little touches like leaving us with a bottle of water and chocolate truffles by our room door and the complimentary coffee & tea service in the hall, too. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was great (we had the Croque Madame and Almon French Toast). Yes, it is on the highway but everything in Dundee is located right off the 99. We had a road-side room and had no noise issues during our stay. We will definitely stay here again the next time we go wine tasting! read more

Nice little hotel, although it's a little odd. It is obviously a repurpose of an old office building, so the layout is odd and there are weird public restrooms and conference rooms scattered in between guest rooms. The rooms themselves were nice. The beds were Sleep Number, which we are not a huge fan of but I know some people love. We were there during a heat wave, so I realize this is a freaky and probably odd issue, but the air conditioner in our room froze over and ice dropped from the unit around 2am and hit the glass top desk and the wine glasses sitting below it...that was a terrifying way to wake up. No harm done, though. The staff was very nice and helpful. The bartender at the Babic Hen downstairs was fantastic. The food smelled good and the menu looked nice, but we didn't dine there. I understand concerns about the location but we asked for room away from the road and it was very quiet. There is some noise from the restaurant below until they close around 11:00 pm but it did not bother us. The view was fine, there is a parking lot right under the window but then some houses and hill sides. We don't spend much time in our room so we really don't care about the view. The location is great for getting around to wineries and restaurants. The restaurant downstairs had great breakfast and was inexpensive. There aren't many places for breakfast in Dundee so it was very handy. The room was big with a couch and TV in a sitting room, then a walkthrough bathroom to the bedroom. Very comfortable. Nice hotel, room was very large. I would give 5 stars however, our room was freezing. We called down to desk for assistance to turn on heat, she tried walking me through it but unsuccessful we had to have her come show us. When she got to our room she said it was set to A/C, she changed it and adjusted the temperature. This didn't solve the problem, we froze all night around 2am the heat finally kicked on. The only other minor thing is no mini fridge in rooms, as big and spacious as they are you would think one would design it to have a little fridge. I reserved a block of rooms for my wedding in wine country last week. The location is great. The staff is awesome and the rooms are clean, nice and well appointed. A bonus is having the Babica Hen restaurant in the building (fantastic food and service there too) and tasting rooms right there. All our guests enjoyed their time. The one slight downfall is that there isn't a mini fridge in each room. We had the JR Suite (most expensive room) so was disappointed not to have a fridge. When I saw one in my bridesmaids room I called down to request one and was told they are not in every room. Luckily I have awesome bridesmaids who said we could take the one on their room and the hotel was cool with us moving it. Overall, great experience and I look forward to coming back! read more

We were given a nights lodging as a gift along with a wine tour so I'm not sure about the cost but the Suite was very small and very odd shaped. Long and narrow with a TV or sitting area then a Bathroom leading to a Bed. No hangers no dresser and no view other than the Parking lot and then a Residential neighborhood. If one of us was in the Bathroom you couldn't go from the TV/sitting area to the Bed/changing area. I don't understand this layout. We'd rather just had a regular room! The whole feel was not warm and receptive although the Service counter attendant was very nice and friendly. The bed was nice but we wouldn't go back even for a free room. read more

Fantastic little hotel that has guest rooms on the second floor over a restaurant and wine tasting rooms. Really friendly staff, but somewhat minimal service hotel, as the desk closes at about 10.30p. It's a perfect location for exploring Wine Country, and one of the more affordable options that isn't a motel. Ask for a Vineyard view room so that you're away from the morning sunrise and traffic noises that are Street side. The woman working the desk at daytime and the gentleman working the desk at night time we're absolutely fantastic. Happy, friendly, and genuinely pleased to have you as a guest. read more

The Dundee Hotel is an Exceptionally great place to stay - total luxury in the middle of the spectacular Willamette Valley Wine Country! I do not usually write reviews, however, this place is AMAZING! We stayed in the King Suite in late October, 2020. The King Suite had picturesque views of the rolling hills and autumn colors. Everything in the room was set up for relaxation right down to the chocolate truffles by the bed. The shower and bathroom were set up like a spa! There was also an outdoor patio and fireplace under a pergola between Building 1 and 2 that reminded us of our honeymoon in Italy! This is a perfect place for anyone to stay (someone traveling alone; a couples retreat/wine tasting; or a group of people experiencing the wine country). Staff was great! They were welcoming and so accommodating! Location is perfect - walkable to many tasting rooms etc. I understand a restaurant will be opening in November, which will be a great addition. Definitely a 5-star Hotel - We will be back!!! read more

The Inn at Red Hills was the perfect place for a weekend getaway! Even though it is on 99, that doesn't make it a bad thing. It's a beautiful hotel and inn with a great location - you can easily get to many wineries and different places in the valley. The first thing I noticed was how great it smelled. The rooms are large and beautiful, with very comfortable beds. The bathrooms are huge and have great showers! They carry L'Occitaine products and have not spared on the little extras that make you feel special. Will definitely be staying here next time I'm up in portland! read more

I spent 3 nights at the Inn At Red Hills this month and I must say, it was a great experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful with winery recommendations and quick to respond to any request my daughter and I had during our stay. I would also like to add that we visited 2 of the wine tasting facilities on site and were very impressed with the knowledge and quality of wines.
