If you're into canoeing, fishing, boating, etc.. Baptiste Lake is perfect. Also, Algonquin Park is only an hours drive away and you can experience all that is has to offer! The renovated cottages have been fixed up great, and provide a rustic feel. Comfortable beds, and screened in breezeways to keep you away from the bugs but still feel like the outdoors! Overall, I would highly recommend Belcast Cottages and can't wait to go back!!

If you are looking for a quick and easy get away without the hassle of packing your whole kitchen, I would highly recommend this resort. The accommodations are lovely and rustic. You are provided with everything you need as far as utensils and kitchen supplies, but the owners still let it be known numerous times that if we needed anything at all to let them know. They were beyond accommodating, and a real pleasure to deal with. This was our first time coming to West bay, and I have already booked for two more weekends this season. The cabin was adorable, and just what we needed. The cabins are dated, but definitely part of their charm. If you are looking for brand new state of the art cottage then you should check out the Hilton Hotels... However if interested in spending copious amounts of time outdoors enjoying a beautiful quiet lake, Spotless beach with safe water access, awesome hiking trails, and star filled nights.. They don't provide towels (not even a hand towel in the bathroom), but I know they will provide them if you're in a pickle and forgot about that. We did arrive an hour or two before check in and they were nice enough to let us check in early even without signing up for that ahead of time. I did get the impression that they very much wanted us to have a nice stay, and I appreciate that. The pool was clean, the sunsets were beautiful. We can't wait to return!

The gorgeous pool area, volleyball, and shuffleboard is always fun and catching the sunset from the fishing docks is beautiful. They have a screened gazebo, shady areas at the pool with wash off stations and restrooms, a huge field for kids to play in, a little playground, and a few different areas to have camp fires. There's a few spot to dock boats and a couple of fish cleaning stations as well. The true gems are the cozy cottages. We stay in the "tiny house" #29 or #30. Both have porches overlooking the river and are up to date in their decor. It definitely feels like a treat staying at Angel Rock. We stayed during the pandemic and they are taking EXTRA precautions to keep staff and visitors safe with deep cleaning in between guests and contactless check in and check out.
