They initiated the construction on space I rented AFTER I rented with no prior warning to members. Second I end up in the hospital I get out discover MY KEY HAS BEEN DEACTIVATED yes I did complain about the construction SO THEY BOOTED ME. I did not get the space or the time I paid money for and they have stopped all communication as they're WRONG WRONG WRONG and don't they know it!!!!!!

Now he calls me up all the time to tell me how much he loves living there and how glad he is that I found him such a nice place! Aston Gardens is a Senior Independent Living Community. There are many singles but also couples. Apartments range in size from 687 sq ft apartment with one bedroom and 1 bath, to 1525 sq ft 2 bedroom 2 bath with formal dining room and a den. All apartments have a full kitchen, laundry, storage unit, and a porch. My dad chose a two bedroom unit with 1.5 baths which was perfect for him. He has enough room, but it is not too big for him either. He has one room set up as an exercise room / office, and uses the smaller bedroom for sleeping. It is a nice bright upscale apartment with a screened in porch. When my Dad first moved in he was able to still drive his golf cart and there are parking spaces where you can plug in and keep your golf cart covered for a reasonable monthly fee. In case you are not familiar with Sun City Center Florida, they have special lanes all over town just for golf carts. You can get around town with just a golf cart, so seniors can have more independence without having to drive a car. Golf carts do not require a license to drive and they also do not require the expense of insurance. Besides the apartment at Aston Gardens, your rent includes housekeeping once a week. They also change your sheets and wash your towels. Aston Gardens provides meals for residents that are also included in the rent and available in the dining room. We were invited to have lunch and dinner with a few residents to try it out. At the time my father moved in they were offering a special of one month free. Do not be afraid to negotiate on price or moving expenses! One of the things I liked about Aston Gardens is that he had buttons and pull cords in his apartment in case he needed help. Also he had to check in once a day or they would check on him! The rent includes rides if needed and there are many activities to choose from. The complex is on beautiful grounds that look more like a resort than a retirement community. The grounds are surrounded by a golf course and include an outdoor swimming pool. If you find that you need extra help you can get it in your apartment. So far my Dad does not need it, but it is nice to know it is there. He does take advantage of the barber shop and sometimes he needs help with writing something out to send in the mail. Extra help in a residents apartment is an extra expense, but the staff at Aston Gardens can help you arrange it. I am so glad that we found Aston Gardens for my Dad. Beautiful pool and common area on the rooftop, comfy bed and close to everything. Thank you!! We stayed in one of the guest apartments while visiting our friends who live here. Loved the location and the fact we had a full kitchen and easy access to all the amenities, especially Publix right across the street! On the down side. We had to buy some trash bags, there was an exposed power strip that was very overloaded and when we opened the dishwasher to look for coffee cups it was full of stale dirty water and mold on the dishes inside. I'd think for the $65 cleaning fee, the place would be clean. Other than that bit of grossness, we enjoyed our stay.

Without giving me any notice to move my bike they locked me out of the room. They also made no effort to agree to the other terms of the lease renewal. Then Nicole called me on the phone I told her I'm 1 min away and explained I had a little emergency with my baby. When I arrived Nicole was extremely cold and clearly had an attitude. She didn't introduce her name. She then tells me the two bedroom wasn't available which I was clear about visiting this specific floor plan only. She finds one old used unit on 3rd floor with no elevators so I had to walk up carrying my baby. During the tour she said NOTHING at all I had to ask the questions myself. It was cheap looking and had popcorn paint on walls and ceilings. She apologized for it not being cleaned but I just kept it short and left the unit. She didn't speak the entire drive back to the leasing office and then said "ok I'll follow up with you." There was no we'll have a great day any questions for me? Etc. honestly if you don't like your job find something else. Needless to say this place is a hard pass and I will not be renting here It's outdated and way too low class especially with the attitude from Nicole. Checked out Epperson and it's 1000x better

This is our second year living here. Honestly, the first year was fine and we really had no…read morecomplaints. But year two has been a completely different experience. The biggest ongoing issue has been ants coming out of multiple wall outlets and sockets in our apartment. When I first reported it to the office, they told us they were fruit flies, which made no sense. They eventually sent an exterminator out, and he confirmed they were definitely ants. He explained that the ants were actually inside the walls of the building and gave a long explanation about returning to treat the larger building issue. That was months ago, and we have never seen him again. The ants are still here, so at this point we've just bought our own supply of Raid and stopped bothering with work orders and we do not wish for them to send anyone back. We also had issues with the "smart" smoke detectors they installed. They would go off at random times, extremely loudly, during the day and in the middle of the night while we were asleep. They eventually replaced ours with the older version, which fixed our issue, but our next-door neighbor apparently still has the smart ones. Because the walls are thin, when hers randomly goes off, it's loud enough to wake us up. For a place advertised as a gated community, the gates seem to be broken more often than they actually work. On top of that, the garage entry door to our building--which is supposed to require a key card--has been broken for months. I reported it and was told they were waiting on a part from a vendor. Four months later, it still hasn't been repaired, which means anyone can access the building through that entrance without a key card. Considering how astronomical the rent is, these issues are really disappointing. We're definitely counting down the months until our current lease is up so we can move on.
