Like so many places that are aimed at mixed aged clients, this place is heaven for the kids and not so much for the adults. Or maybe for the moms. I was here for a 10th birthday party and the kids had so much fun. The party seemed to go well in regards to timing (laser tag-pizza-laser tag-cupcakes-arcade). The pizza wasn't bad, it was flat with sweet sauce. I wouldn't expect anything from the service, it looked understaffed or staffed with people who were dreaming of other things. When I went to the concession stand to get a beer ($3.50 thank heavens!) the guy behind the counter continued filing paperwork into this binder and filling out forms before he helped me. So as far as arcade and laser tag go, it's a blast, just don't expect much else. Oh, and if you have much smaller kids, keep a close eye on them, there are parts of the concrete floor crumbling which pose trip hazards and yummy bits to try and eat. read more

Completely disappointed with the service. No tables seated and was told it was an hour wait to have people walk in and be immediately seated. When questioned we're just told they're short staffed. Seemed like a lack of management and everything else. Have been there before with no issues but completely brushed off this go around. Not happy at all. read more

This place is a blast! I recommend seeing a movie at the Bistro theater there. it has full-reclining leather seats and wait service! The bar is fun, I recommend frozen margaritas and their WINGS! and, of course, playing in the arcade. but don't go for dinner! The rest of their menu is so-so. The servers were inexperienced, and the managers were just rude and didn't seem to know what they were doing. 2 tables left when we were there, we would have if we weren't starving. read more

The customer service is AWFUL. As we were swiping our card for the VR challenges, an employee shouted across the way informing us that we had just lost four dollars as it was broken. We questioned why there wasn't a sign or attendant to address that and his response was oh I haven't had time. At the front desk, management continued to downplay the situation and blow us off. Yes it's four dollars but this is a place for children so patience and kindness seems the order of the day, not being a jerk. My update on this review hasn't changed much, I still try to go often because the wings are still delicious. Since the last time I reviewed though the burgers have improved. I recommend trying the 5 alarm burger it's neat, however in my honest opinion the service is still bad. read more

The Edge is a laser tag, arcade, movie theater, that is for all ages and is quite enjoyable. I've gone here a few times now, but just recently I've found one of its downfalls. The teaming in the laser tag portion of The Edge is really unbalanced, you could be with your friends in a large group and then the next you could be alone with only four other strangers on one team. Overall its an ok place to take your kids to entertain them for a couple hours. read more

The Edge d.s. vespers restaurant needs to work on basics. Food was very delayed, arrived for two people at time, 10 minutes apart for party of 6, with street tacos refrigerator cold, and queso not much earlier, or warmer, than meals. Fries were hot. Had filthy stuck-on-food fork. Two celiac disease patrons, had to send Caesar salad back twice. First, came with croutons, second came back with croutons just picked off. Third salad, 20 minutes later, no croutons, maybe made without croutons? Probably pre-made salad, as child was sick later. Fun entertainment venue, but we will eat somewhere else first, then go to play laser tag. On plus side, food prices not bad. Laser tag marshal went against 30 patrons wishes, played "infection," instead of "team," wasted $9 per person for game that didn't work. read more

Literally the worst service ever. Do not go here for food or drinks. You will wait two hours for a pitcher of beer. It took the bartenders so long to get the beer, I decided to take a pic. The theatre is nice and doesnt require attention so it will serve its purpose. You can buy your tickets online, less hassle. read more

How much can you do in 1 day in 1 spot? The Edge challenges you with that, and doesn't disappoint. Very family friendly with something for everyone of all ages. I must say, I was quite surprise this place isn't a national hit. But it's a gem that locals get to enjoy. Beware of the bowling! Went to a family function tonight and we had two lanes for an hour. No matter what time you actually start bowling, they charge starting at the beginning of the time you booked and then turn off your game when the hour is up. Went for a date night with my boyfriend and we had a great time driving go carts and trying out the new VR games! Afterward we wanted to get some desert since we had already had dinner beforehand and wanted something sweet to finish off the night. We waited to be sat and no one came. We had to find someone and ask them to be sat then she said our waitress would be right with us. Then a few feet from our table she told our waitress Sidney that she had a table and we just wanted deserts. Then Sidney let out a huge sigh rolled her eyes until she saw that we were a few feet from her. She then walked to the table asked how we were and didn't respond when I asked how she was. She then didn't ask us if we were ready, if we wanted drinks, just stared at us. My boyfriend ordered ice cream, I ordered a fried cheesecake. She brought out the ice cream first along with one for herself. Ate all of hers, my boyfriend finished his then she went to check on mine in the kitchen and came back 5 mins later. So I was a little irritated that I was able to eat with him. After I finished mine we waited 20 mins for her to come back and take our plates and not even offer a check. I am a server as well and I know I don't get excited about small spenders either but Jesus! I was prepared to give her 50% of the bill until we finished the experience. Went to see triple X in the Bistro. We order food and drinks never got food are the drinks. So 45min in to the movie we asked where are order was at and they said they could not find are order. This is the 2nd time we have went there to see a movie and got horrible service. read more

this rating is based on the bistro theatre experience. meh. it wasn't terrible, the seating was great, they did a nice job of making the room comfortable. the servers weren't great. they made an error on my order but the movie had begun so i couldn't really say anything about it. so that aspect was a bit frustrating. but what really did it in for me was the fact that the projection was pretty underwhelming. the screen was dark and fuzzy. the audio was good but didn't make up for the picture. all in all, it was fun experiencing the bistro but probably won't return. read more

THE EDGE is quite an impressive thing to have so close to home. I've been coming here for over a decade and there always seems to be something new. I have met the couple running the place (The Schell's) and they are the most down-to-earth loving people. They love their community and it truly shows. I'm going to write a paragraph on each of the different things you can do inside The EDGE. I have to start with Laser Tag. So if you haven't heard, The EDGE is home to the WORLD'S LARGEST laser tag arena. They remapped the entire arena a couple years back which makes it alot more open. Before it was very close combat which made it really hard to get anyone. You'll definetly work up a sweat after 2 or 3 games. A word of advice is that on Unlimited evening passes, (Friday and Saturday 7p-12a) you will most likely get 3 games in because of the density of players. I'm a firm believer in the Sunday All Day pass. Note: I heard they are upgrading the packs (The guns and the vest). PROS: World's Largest Arena, Amazing fun CONS: Weekend player density, Long wait times in between games Next up is the EDGE 5 Theatres. Not many people know the hidden gem that are these theatres. Alot of people come here for laser tag or to eat at d.s vespers. Getting tickets is a breeze and it's at the same counter where the concessions are sold! I will usually get a Mtn. Dew Code Red (They offer Pepsi Products) and a medium popcorn. BUY THE $5 REFILLABLE CUP!!! When you do buy the refillable cup, bring it with you everytime you go and see a movie or go do laser tag and they will fill it up for $1. It beats buying a $4 large Pepsi everytime. The main theatres are decent. Just like any other theatre it offers great sound. The picture is better than the Lincoln in downtown Belleville, but not as good as the Wehrenberg or AMC's around the area. I'm 6'2" so legroom is very important. The EDGE 5 theatres compliment this by allotting me enough legroom so I can sit comfortably without having to dangle my feet on the seatback in front of me (Even though I do anyways; It is a habit). Usually there are not alot of people in the movies which is a great thing because you can choose to sit anywhere! Onto the Bistro theatres, I've only tried it once and I was impressed with the service and overall value of the ticket. The seats were comfortable and the staff was excellent. Only thing about it is that it only was comfortable chairs and staff getting you food. I'm okay getting a popcorn and soda and sitting in a less comfortable but still comfortable seat for less money. Good experience though, don't let me tell you how to live your life. PROS: Tickets/Concessions in same transaction, Great Legroom, Sound quality maximum, Bistro upgrade worth the money CONS: Picture quality mediocre FInally I'll review d.s. vespers (Vespers). Vespers is a sit down bar and grill inside the EDGE. Alot of adults will sit down and watch the game while their kids go and have a good time. Their food is really good and they have decent prices. A burger or a pizza is the way to go. I did order a burger well done one time and it was burnt to a crisp. I did not complain and it was still a juicy burger. Word of advice is the get your burger Medium or Medium Well. Seating is comfortable (Then again, I've only ever experienced the booths) and the servers are friendly. Very loud within given the tall celings, but we have to take into consideration that The EDGE is a very social place. Overall, a good place to eat. PROS: Good Food and Drink, Friendly Service, Comfortable Seating CONS: Loud The EDGE has something for every generation to enjoy. If you're new here or you are in town for a few days, this place is a must-go! They are currently making major additions to the place. This includes go-karts, bowling, bumper cars and more! Disappointing visit last night! My family and I have been to the edge on several occasions and never had any issues with the service or food but last night we experienced problems with both. To start with there was limited parking because of construction going on so we had to park across the street, if the edge is adding on theaters they better make sure there is sufficient parking AND staff to handle bigger crowds. They advertise parties so you would think on a friday night there would be enough staff to handle a crowd. We were seated at 6:40 and ordered a pitcher of tea, fifteen minutes later we got the tea and told we had to wait to see a menu because they were all being used at other tables, a few minutes later i got up and asked another table for theirs since they were not looking at it. We had a table of eight and tried to keep it as simple as possible so i ordered one sampler platter and two large pizzas and stuck with pitchers, it took 35 minutes for the appetizer....the chips were stale! Another forty minutes for the pizzas..which were not hot and one pizza was not sliced all the way thru, also told we couldnt have parmesan cheese or pepper because they were all at other tables . Ive had the pizza before and i really dont think these were of the same quality, did not taste as good this time. We were told the reason for the ridiculous wait was because of large groups showing up. I have seen the edge completely packed and have not had trouble like this before, if you advertise parties and groups then you should be equipped for them!!! NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER! We have had birthday parties for our son (laser tag) and our daughter (movie) at the EDGE and they always had a great time with friends. The food is great. The movie theaters are clean and comfortable. The bistro is the best. Reasonable prices make it affordable family fun. It can get a little crowded but that would be the only downside. read more

When my 9 year old son said he wanted to play Laser Tag for his birthday family fun day I googled new places. We have been to Adrenaline Zone and Incredible Pizza. The Edge touted itself as the Worlds Largest Laser Tag Arena. Cool. Off we went. Drove from Hazelwood to Belleville. We purchased a 3 game package for each child. The gentleman that registered us for Laser Tag said the games would be back to back. While the kids were playing Laser Tag there were NO empty chairs/tables in the entire establishment for us to sit at. We looked over by the bistro/bar- full. By the Laser Tag - every table full with a birthday party. No where to sit at all. Finally a 2 person bench on the main walkway between birthday party land and Laser Tag opened up and my 80 year old in laws could sit down and rest. My husband and I were forced to stand. After 2 of 3 Laser Tag games were played we noticed that they were not consecutive games as we were told when we registered. They were numbered 41,42 and 45. Since the average game lasts 20 minutes, we did not want to stand for 40 minutes waiting for the final game. I talked to the Laser Tag Registration guy that said the games would be back to back. I simply asked for a refund on the final unplayed game as they were to be back to back and there was nowhere for us to sit and wait. He got his manager. I was rudely told by the female manager on duty that they do not give refunds, even for an unplayed future Laser Tag game. When I explained to her that the games were to be back to back and they weren't plus there was nowhere for us to sit down and wait for the fin game she still claimed they didn't do refunds. I have never been so miserable in my entire life. I did say every chair and table in the entire place was full right? And they couldn't refund an unplayed game of Laser Tag so we could go ahead and leave instead of waiting to finish the 3 pack?? Not to mention the money we spent on arcades, etc. We'll take our $ elsewhere next time. At least we'll be able to sit down. read more

Service - negative stars Arena - 5 stars We had my 11 year old sons birthday party here on Saturday, 1st thing in the morning, so were one of two families here. First off you walk in and there are 5 workers at the counter just chatting away, wait a few for anyone to even acknowledge us. The party host shows us our table and asked what our drinks were going to be. They do have a decent sized arcade with plenty of games to play so the kids did that while waiting on the rest of the guests to arrive. So the host hands me 10 slips of paper for the players and said they will call us over the speaker when it is our turn. So we wait a few they mumbled something into the speaker so we went to find out what it was and they said it was for the other family to play so we wait a few more, the host is nowhere to be found during any of this, so we go ask again and they are rude about you should have went in with the other family. And that was just the beginning, there wasn't a set schedule for the party, no one seemed to know anything, we had to ask when the pizza would come, what about the cupcakes, what about candles, etc. The party host is pretty much there to bring you the slips to play, the pizza, the sodas, and the cupcakes. But everyone from the moment we walked in were just rude, and when you are supposed to be hosting kids birthday parties, a smile and a good attitude would be helpful. Especially, the lady in the rule room who was as unfriendly as they come. And the actual arena was the best part, it is huge with multi levels and all sorts of areas to explore. But on the 2nd of our 3 rounds, three of the ten players had issues with either the gun or the vest. The kids had fun so maybe we would come back just to play laser tag but we would not have a birthday party here again. read more

Ok let me start by saying the chairs in the bistro theaters are A-mazing! There's no better way to enjoy a movie than to be comfy like this. I had a pizza and it was pretty ok nothing awesome but u would eat it again. Best part is you have a service light and if you need another beer a waitress will bring it to you. It does seem like they are under staffed so heads up to call before you run out. Overall nice change up to going to a normal movie thearter. read more

What a great family establishment! We have been dining and hanging out here for years! Love the food, especially the wings! The EDGE just keeps getting better and better with all the added additions over the years: Laser Tag, Bistro Theatre, Arcades and new additions for a 4D theater, an indoor track for electric-powered go-karts, bumper cars and four bowling lanes are coming soon! Wow! Both of my children have had several laser tag parties and always had a great time. I chose the EDGE for company parties and everyone enjoyed the evening and the food and service were wonderful! The EDGE has something for everyone! The owners, Keith and Mary Dahm-Schell, are admired and respected by the community for their professionalism, business savvy, enthusiasm, and their contribution to the community. Just visited the establishment and had the WORSE SERVER ever. Christa, was very argumentative and abrasive. Nothing that a server should be. I was served a STICKY glass w/my drink. My drink wasn't even fruity. She made every excuse in the world to me why it could have possibly been sticky. We ordered a pizza that half (1/2) the ingredients on it. Now this was after we waited a total of 45 minutes when the establishment was close to being empty. I TOLD HER I WANTED TO CANCEL MY ORDER DUE TO ALL THE DISCREPANCIES AND SHE DEMANDED AN ANSWER. I then told her ring my drinks and I was done. She went on to tell me I had to wait for the manager due to my entire order not being screwed up. Did I mention I initially had to walk to the bar to be seated when there was a sign at the door that stated to "Wait to be Seated". read more

Get ready to be nickeled and dimed! Took four kids here (ages 7-10). It cost $88 for the four of them to play 3 games (and that's the SALE price...normally it's $8.50 a game). Not only are the prices outrageous for what you get (well used equipment--which may or may not work--and a very worn laser tag arena), but we did a lot of waiting around to even play. Between 1:30 and 4:30, we were only able to participate in 3 games, and honestly it really didn't seem like a busy day! To add insult to injury, there is no water fountain!?! My kids were very thirsty after running around a few hours, and after spending $88, I really didn't want to fork out more money for drinks. But guess what, I had to pay $3.75 for a bottle of water (or 50 cents for a cup!!!) because they have NO water fountain! That was just kind of the last straw. We won't be back. This is in no way a value. It's a money trap. read more

Fantastic time at the Edge! The edge offers fun and games for people of all ages. We had a boys birthday party there and it was a blast. The staff are well trained in dealing with screaming children who are loosing their minds with excitement and clearly have come to terms with it and yet somehow seem to enjoy it day in and day out. The edge offers plenty of party space for small or large groups and the prices were reasonable for what you get. The kids and adults had a blast (pun intended) playing laser tag and staff here were also exceptional in dealing with slightly organized chaos. There is plenty to do to keep everyone engaged and on schedule. Highly recommend for parties of all ages. A good time for all! read more

Had slow service and some issues with the food (not unforgivable), but was kindly comped and the issue was corrected by the manager Kelso. I understand things happen but I believe the lasting effect is how management handles the situation. We will be back again to give the theater and restaurant another chance in the future due to the way they resolve issues with their customers. read more

Can't recommend this place. The service was very slow. The waitress never returned to the table to ask if everything was ok after the food was delivered or to keep drinks refilled. We go here to see movies we barely want to see, just because we love the bistro theater so much! Incredible price for the experience. Service can be a little slow mid-movie (there have been a few times that I ordered a second beer early on and didn't get it in time to finish it before the movie was done), but all in all, it's a great venue! read more

We are do lucky to have an establishment like "The EDGE" here in Belleville. We eat dinner there regularly, and take advantage of the family friendly amenities such as the arcade and movie theaters quite often. And I personally enjoy the large (and ever changing) on-tap beer selections. During hockey season, it's a great place for watching Blues games with the prize wheel, activities and participation in the travelling "Blues Cool Bars Tour." Now just get the beer selection onto the Tap Hunter app, and I'll up the rating to 6 stars! read more

Handicapped man was gambling in the Arcade and hobbled up to the bar to get a drink of water. He kept standing there as the barmaid ( owner)?just looked at him. After waiting 10-15 minutes he reached for a glass to get water. The 60 ish woman bartender started yelling "drinks are not free" the man said I didn't want it for free, she informed him they don't allow panhandlers or homeless! Of course it made the man irate he preceded to tell her he was not homeless and definitely not a beggar! It got ugly, cops were called, the man explained the outrage to the cops, he had never been homeless always drives new cars etc. the cop calmed the man down and apologized for the woman's behavior. They walked outside and the man got on a shiny bright red new expensive electric scooter wheelchair. NOPE THE MAN WASN'T A BEGGAR OR HOMELESS! Come to find out the man has numerous relatives, his grown children and grand children that live in Belleville. OBVIOUSLY THE EDGE HAS LOST NUMEROUS CUSTOMERS AND IM SURE WHEN THE MAN'S FRIENDS FIND OUT THEY WILL LOSE MORE! Yesterday was my sons birthday and he wanted to go to laser tag. So we went to The Edge once I walked thru the door I was not happy at all. I walked into the door and I was in the restaurant I asked how do I get thru to the arcade. Pointed in the directions told me that way. Next I'm in the arcade looking confused then I see 2 workers standing there talk. I say out loud how do I get to laser tag, no one spoke up. I finally make it to the laser tag front desk. And the man looks so brother. So we are talking about all the things I wanted to do. I told him this is my first time here. He told that some of the things I need required a gamecard I ask where was it located AGAIN he pointed in the direction. Next we go to the virtual reality so the man is telling me about it. And my son is asking him how does one of them work. He didn't answer him. I had to tell him can you tell him how this works. I told him let's go order our food and we will be back. I ordered my food. Came back after my son finished the virtual reality game. So we got our food. And I was unpleased with my food it was garbage. So I told another worker. He went and talked with his manager and over 7 mins gave me a free app card. I told him I'm not coming back here I want my money. He left another 7-8 minutes. Finally came back with my money. I told him I wanted the manager. And I told the manager my whole story about how it sucked to be there. Told her I won't be coming back. Next it's our turn to go laser tag. By then I just don't want to be there. I swear if it wasn't my sons birthday I would have gotten alll my money back and left. But because it was his birthday and he was having a good time I stayed.
