The staff was absolutely amazing with my group of 13 year old boys and myself. First time airsoft experience and they made it so great for all of us. Many fields to choose from, schedule was perfect they got to play 5 or 6 times! We went for open play. Only fall back is I did not make a reservation, showed up at 1 and we had to wait a bit for guns. NOT THEIR FAULT at all. We had lots of fun! Very helpful with a bunch of boys who have never done this before! We brought food in and was able to grab an empty table. We made a whole day of it. read more

The overall experience was fine but our guide, Charlie, called one of us an "asshole" and was often using foul language, the place is very strict, which I can understand, but at one point our guide made the birthday boy sit out because he took the cap off of his gun too early. The place is fine for paintball but the service could be much better. read more

Great environment here at Xtreme. The staff and regulars seem friendly. Also, they have dogs here! Checking in is pretty easy, even if you don't sign a waiver online before you come. They give you a tablet to fill out your paperwork and sign in for the day. Also, it is explicitly stated that there is no surrender rule, aka one player cannot shoot another player closer than 10 feet away. I think this is a great requirement, especially to look out for new and/or younger players. There are several seating areas, some covered and some not. Great for hanging out, meeting other players, and preparing for the next round. I love that each of the fields have their own nets so that you can keep your mask off until you get to the field you're playing at. Its always nice to have no hindrances for breathing, haha. There is also running water and actual toilets, although no soap in the women's at the time I visited. Reminds me to let them know that before I leave! Haha. Overall, I will definitely come back to Xtreme Paintball. The smaller fields will help with my anxiety regarding the anticipation of getting shot. Read: getting shot isn't that bad! read more

I have been paintballing around stl for about 11 years now. I'm not the most active of players but this park pulls me back time and again. Prices are fair, the fields are good, the refs are great, the owners are great guys, and the total grief boys that are there are always willing to give tips or show off their gear. I've only played paintball apprx 5 times and yesterday we played here with my son's hockey team. I'm not affiliated with the sport, nor do I know any of the owners, etc. That being said, this place blows Wacky Warriors out of the water. I can't comment on what "Open Play" is like as we were in a private party, as many parents do for sports teams and birthday parties. Being together with the hockey team we reserved a covered pavilion where they let us set up shop with food, drinks, etc and hang out all day as most of the parents did. A nice lady (sorry, didn't catch her name) checked us in and did a great job multi tasking through kids anxious to play whether someone needed their waver turned in, to pay, grab a gun, mask, or more air. She quickly summoned for more help which came quick. One note is sign the waiver online in advance. While their on site iPads for doing so are cool, it will be a big time saver vs standing in line as your kiddo wants to play! The fields were great and I could tell immediately they take great care of each, including their structures and certainly the nets around the fields. The two fields at the front, and walking around the back are surrounded with high poles and nets in fantastic shape for protection for those not playing. As we played, took breaks, etc the owner (or manager?) made his rounds on a golf cart to make sure everyone was doing ok and didn't need anything. Our referee for the day was a younger guy, Brian S. He did a fantastic job making sure the boys had a great time. I witnessed him tightening masks, and extra paint pods that some wear. He patiently waited for some to start, whether using the restroom, etc. He also asked us what fields we wanted to play. Most importantly he ref'd great games all day. When a kid was hit, he made sure they didn't continue to be fired at while exiting the field, often right through the middle of play. Lastly, he allowed the boys to play all the way until 5pm (closing time) and even two more quick ones after that. The only downside at all is the front parking lot being packed with several cars - even tripled stacked in front of one another. It appears they have an overflow parking lot a football field or two away. I'm assuming late March is prime time for them + nice, cooler weather, and it being a Saturday. Still, that part needs fixed. Lastly, bathrooms had real plumbing...unlike their competition. I'd highly recommend these guys for your next paintball party. read more

I hadn't been here until they opened up the Airsoft "experiment" a couple of months ago and they have now branched it out to twice a month for us. All the staff are friendly and willing to listen to anything that we suggest to make a better playing experience for the Airsoft community in general. Personally salute them for their ability to build up a safe community of play and still allow us to do what it is that we do. Doesn't get much better and that's coming from a person that drives 45 minutes just to play here for the atmosphere. read more

Went to the Haunted paintball park this past Saturday, just myself and my 10-year-old son. I've never been to this park, or any paintball park for that matter and had no real idea what to expect other than it would have something to do with paintball and thought it would be fun. This review is about the haunted paintball only. First, the good parts. There was a big crowd and everyone seemed to be pleasant and happy. No bad attitudes and the staff that I spoke to was very nice. Bathrooms were nice. The "haunted paintball" consists of putting 30 people at a time on a trailer with two rows (one high, one low) of seats from which you shoot attached paintball guns into the woods at people dressed up as zombies. sometimes they tried to hide, sometimes not. My son and I both found that part to be way fun. Not scary at all. Things seemed well run and explained well. After the paintball zombie shooting gallery, they drop you off and you walk through a haunted walk through the woods and a couple of "buildings" or mazes. People pop out and do spooky, scary things. This part was good as well. The costumes of the people in the haunted area were great. Since it was just the two of us, they sent us off just together. Would have been more fun if we had a larger group to walk through with. My son doesn't really like super-scary stuff, but this was (to me) just the right amount of scary for him. Don't know if the staff "turn it up" for people who are older or not, but for us it was really great. I'd give both the zombie hunt and the haunted area 4 stars. Good fun. Now, the not so awesome parts. First, we waited almost 3 hours. Yep, 3 hours of waiting around. They try to give you something to do, like having some carnival style, spooky-themed games (very tame and appropriate for anyone). But these could take you all of maybe 15 minutes to do all of it if there were no lines. Even with lines we had 2.5 hours of time to just stand around. The did have a fire going on a chilly night, and lots of places to sit down, which was nice. Another mini-bummer was that through the start the signage was almost non-existent. There were several lines, but no real way to know what the heck each line was for. There were little stands that said "cash pay here" and "groupon people here" but since the lines were on each side of the stands, and the large lines obscured the sign stands anyway, it was impossible to know which line was for what. Also, the building had a sign above the door that says "registration" but that was not for registration at all, but on this night it was only to serve hot cocoa and soda. I saw a bunch of folks through the night wandering around bewildered about where to sign up. Since I had no clue of the event, I had some questions at the start, but because of the long line, the person at the window tried to quickly explain that I'd "go over there" and they'd "call numbers" but it really made no sense to me. I only figured it out by standing around and watching what was going on and asking others. Overall, the actual zombie hunt thing and haunted area were great. But I don't think I'd do it again unless I could reserve a time since standing around for 3 hours just wasn't worth it for the 10 minutes shooting and 10 minutes of the haunted trail. read more

Xtreme paintball... more like Xtremely incompetent teenagers running a shit show. Upon my arrival at Xtreme paintball I was initially somewhat satisfied with the location and overall area. They sign you in after signing a waiver on their iPads inside and give a poorly misguided safety brief. You get your gear then stand and wait under one of their hard structures until they call for open play. But this was just the beginning... I was told by one of their workers "he wasn't getting paid right now so he didn't really care..." he looked about 18 to 22 years old, and it didn't even cross his mind to give common courtesy like saying sir or ma'am or any ounce of respect. On top of that the courses are pretty run down. They let dogs run around carelessly not on leashes that bite eachother. For example, a dog reached onto one of the picnic tables and pulled a box of our pizza we ordered and it went all on the ground. We were getting ready to go to "village" a map at Xtreme paintball, when I heard a dog shriek from getting bit, I went over there and saw chips, our pizza, and drinks on the ground. While the dog was walking on three paws from getting bit, They did not restrain the dogs and attempt to create a more safe atmosphere for the customers, they literally sat there and stared in disbelief. They didn't even bother to apologize or pick up my belongings I brought off the ground and put it on the picnic table. At this point I was fuming. On top of all of this THEY WERE DRINKING ON THE JOB. The cadre!! They were walking around drinking beers in front of children "in charge" of our safety!!! So Hoosier, so obnoxious, so disappointing to go to something like this that's expensive and get this out of it. I'm not high maintenance but this was comically terrible. I was not very happy when i found out my child go to the field and he was made to buy paintballs from the company( at a inflated price) to be able to play. I read on their web site that you dont have to buy there. Some of the guys where able to used the ones that they brought and others where told they have to buy there. We will not be playing or paying there again.. I would not trust this type of business practice. read more
