I love that we have a small theatre in Belleville. No complaints here except sometimes there isn't someone there to take your ticket. I really want to tell you about their cheeseburgers! The Edge is typically a great theater, but we recently went to see Wicked, and the projection was so poor that you could barely see Elpheba in multiple scenes. I understand needing to leave light in the theater for safety, but you can do better than this. Additionally, we were in the bistro, and the server was SO loud, it was ridiculous. Completely unnecessary to shout as loud as she was. Both aspects really ruined the experience. read more

While we understand short staffing is a factor, there are other ways this establishment could focus on the theatre customers for ordering. There is no way to order at your seat therefore you must exit to order, then the food will be delivered at your seat. Other than that small complaint, it was outstanding. We had a great time and look forward to another show with hopefully better at seat service. We are willing to pay more for the experience if it means it'll help your staffing. read more

This is for the Bistro theatre. It's getting 1 Star for false advertising. I paid over $27 for two tickets to see Star Wars @6pm. Drove from STL to this theatre cause they advertise that the Bistro theater is 21+... well, I guess they pick and choose when they make exceptions cause there were kids in the theater. If I wanted to see a movie with kids I would of paid the $5 and went to AMC. Your website clearly states after 4pm on fri-sun, and 21+ ONLY... so can someone explain to me why I watched Star Wars for 2.5 hours with kids next to me talking and using there phones? My wife and I saw Furiosa tonight at a Bistro Theater screen, and the experience was so disappointing I would almost suspect someone had it out for us. The volume was so high it was difficult to make out dialog, the screen projection flickered throughout, the server call button apparently didn't work, and the theater was uncomfortably humid (which was not due to overstressing the system, we were the only people in there and the building was generally not busy, nor was it due to weather). And this is to say nothing of the food service! Mediocre portions for the price, the server forgot half of our requests including a simple drink refill that never came, both of our sodas were flat and so warm that the ice melted in minutes, and they have no other ice cream flavors besides vanilla, which they ran out of (really, don't call yourselves a bistro if you can't even stock vanilla AND chocolate) making our desired dessert impossible. They also brought no menus to order from at first and then no light with which to see them, really basic stuff here. And to cap off a thoroughly unpleasant evening, the entrance where the handicapped parking is located was closed by the time the evening movie ended, forcing us to take a different exit so far away that we might as well have parked at the back quarter of the lot. The experience was so unpleasant and such a waste of our limited entertainment opportunities that my wife was brought to tears by the end of it. YOU MADE MY WIFE CRY. I'm making this complaint everywhere I can think of and directly to the Edge's management, and I *never* write online reviews -- unless a business makes a spectacular impression, for better or worse. I absolutely love this place! Especially over the huge chain of Wherenberg theaters. My favorites are the fact that they have a Bistro, the ticket prices are $10.00 for a matinee and $12.00 for prime time. The seats in here are electric recliners with a small tray for your drinks/food, be careful not fall asleep! The only downside is you can't snuggle with your date, as there is an armrest between the two of you. It is worth it, the menu consists of items not much more than $8-10. There Mac N cheese balls are sooooo good, they have smoked gouda in them! Yum!! Try them...now!!! haha The seating is very comfortable in all theaters. It is kindof strange as you walk in and it looks like your going to walk into a closet! The sound is great. For matinee pricing in the theaters its cheaper and the prime time i think is $8.50. So much cheaper than wherenberg. This place also has Laser Tag, its claimed to be the worlds largest indoor laser tag arena, i haven't tried this yet. They also have a games area with some of the huge adult games such as connect four and that blue button game where you have to hit as many as you can... The concessions are super cheap! So worth it! Keep your ticket stub for the next time you come for $1.00 off food or concessions. I will come here time and time again just because of the awesome prices and the amazing establishment that it is. read more

**Disclaimer this is for the Bistro Theater** I will never ever go to a regular theater again!...unless of course I'm a long ways away from EDGE 5 Such a cool place, upon entry I was a bit confused due to it not being the typical movie theater set up, but once you figure it out you're golden! What I love about this place..I will give you my top three. First the fact that I can reserve my SEATS not just purchase tickets, but MY SEAT prior to arrival. So that means I can saunter in 5 mins before the movie, without having to squint to find enough seats for me and my entourage (hubby). Second thing that I love, If I do decide to show up say 15 mins early I can play games in the arcade (which is on my to do list) or have a drink or two at the bar (I've already checked that off my list, several times) and the third and certainly not the last thing I love table side service, no need to buy a bucket-o-popcorn and rush in before previews are over, b/c they will bring it to you as well as spinach dip or toasted ravioli, or pizza or hummus...you get the point and the prices are pretty reasonable. Definitely worth checking out a feature or two there! read more

Best place to watch a movie! Seats are very comfortable and roomy! Never too crowded. It's almost like watching a movie at home. The food is your average bar food. Service can sometimes be a little slow but we don't mind. Much better deal than the Wehrenbergs. It's time to update my review: The Bistro is without a doubt my favorite place to watch a movie! And the food has gotten so much better. Make sure to try the toasted Ravioli or one of the various chicken sandwiches that they offer. You won't be disappointed. The Bistro is a great little theater off the beaten path that really should be supported. read more

First, I must say that I think I'd like this place better later at night. My sis and I went here to see Furious 6. We stood in line forever due to the ticket line and consession line being the same line. Kids were running around because they also have laser tag and an arcade. I did like bistro theater. I ordered the EDGE burger, very good. Sweet potato fries, which they drizzle honey over, also too good. and the calamari fries, LOVED! the sports bar, d.s.vespers, serves as the kitchen. the seats reclined all the way. the trays are a little small but do the job. i'd go back. read more

I joined Yelp just to say how great this place is. I went to see Jurassic World here. I ordered food during the movie. Got a turkey club(special order was not messed up). Tasted great They come with fries that were perfectly seasoned. Best I've ever eaten. I like places when they do a good main course(i.e. burger), but they go above and beyond when my side is what I'm raving about. It really shows they care. Went to a bistro show. Trays were sticky and too high up, recliners made a LOT of noise when they were adjusted but were comfortable, a lot of noise from the bar could be heard during the movie. Food wise, we had two entrees: jerk chicken pizza and chipotle chicken melt. Pizza was limp and bland, they must not know what jerk seasoning is. Sandwich was really good. We frequent Edge as pretty much our only local movie theater these days. We'll go see movies in the Bistro Theater that we hardly know about, just for the experience. It's wonderful! Decent beer selection and menu/food, all delivered straight to your recliner! Just make sure to order well in advance if you're ordering mid-movie, as service tends to show down quite a bit. Also, the Spot On perks program is AWESOME. I highly recommend picking up a card and returning often! read more

The bistro is the best. Not even expensive seeing as the ofallon 15 charges maybe a dollar less or 50 cents less for their regular seating It's just nice to relax and see a movie. Food service is a plus. Reclining chairs. I think it's 18 and up seating only too which is nice. This has to be the best kept secret in Belleville. This theater really can't get much better. The chairs you sit in are so comfortable because they are leather lazy boys that recline almost to a flat position. Another great part of the Edge is you have a full menu with a service call button which means they come to you which is awesome and since they have a bar there you can even have a beer if you choose and it's not an $8 beer. After my first time there I knew that I would be back and now it's the only place I will watch a movie. Everything is so much less expensive then your normal 15 cinema and it's way better. read more

The Edge theatre really surprised me. It was comfortable and convenient. The snack bar options were plentiful and the service was top notch. The theatre is new with first class sound. I want to give the movie theater a 5, but the new restaurant staff don't have it figured out. Looks fantastic, but service is lacking. Been waiting for 30 plus minutes on a table while I see an open table just sitting there. I let the hostess know and I'm still waiting. The Edge Movie Bistro has ruined me for other theaters. The reclinable seats are so comfy and the food was really good. The employees were all very helpful, I will definitely be back. The only complaint I have was that kids aren't allowed after 4pm. I have older teenagers and was surprised that they couldn't watch a PG movie after 4pm. read more

I have not been to the Edge 5 Bistro theaters in awhile, but when I received the email, to save $5, for the 4th of July promotion going on for loyalty members of their Spot On program, I decided to check out what movies were playing. When I saw "The House" was playing at 8:30 at my local theater and the Bistro, I found out it was only $1 more than my local theater, I could not resist it! Great theater with friendly staff and awesome experience!! Amazing! The cashier asked us if we've ever been there before and when we told her no she said we'd never want to see a film anywhere else. She was totally right. The theatre was small but not crowded at all. The chair are electronics recliners with call service buttons. They have a full restaurant menu, you get served dinner while you watch the movie! They also let you drink your beer in the theatre. Amazing customer service, so comfortable, and so original. I never want to see a movie anywhere else. read more

My husband and I were very excited to see the new IT movie that was just released. We both read the book beforehand and we had a rare night to ourselves (due to being parents to young kids). We walked in and bought our tickets 30 minutes beforehand to guarantee good seats as this was the second night it was playing, but strangely there was no one to check our tickets before we walked into the actual movie theater (as most places do) and this turned out to be the problem. As we're sitting in the theater with the movie about to start, we see a young man make several trips out of the theatre and then shortly return with 3 or 4 more people following him. He made at least 5 trips back and forth with more people following each time until it finally occurred to me what he was up to. He was letting all his buddies in through the glass side door beside the place where employees are suppose to stand and check tickets. Nothing but a stampede of freeloaders who were overly obnoxious, loud, and disrespectful throughout the whole movie. The environment was good up until all the distractions, rude behavior and riff raft took away from the film that we and half of everyone else in that theater spent good money on to see. A simple ticket checking booth after the glass side door before you enter the auditorium could solve this problem. C'mon Edge, with all the excellent things you've added so far, step up your security game and get some guards and an added ticket checkpoint read more

Such an awedome place! My boyfriend and I almost exclusively see movies here. The seats in the bistro are so much more comfortable than most theater seating. The food is delicious, and it's nice to be able to have an adult beverage while you watch the movie. I love the hummus and flat bread, and the chicken Ceasars wrap. The staff is always friendly, and they manage to take orders and drliver food without interrupting the show. I like that the bistro is adults only, the theater is slways quiet. I tell everyone about this place, and I hope they stay around for a long time. read more

CAN'T SAY ENOUGH!!! Absolutely love The Edge. Both the Bistro and Grand Theatre. The staff is wonderful and that will always be my number one over anything else. The theater can be great but if the staff is bad I won't go. Second the theaters are comfortable, great sound and picture. I love the pricing for the movies. I can go to a 3D for $5 during the day if I bring my own 3D glasses. I love that I can prebook my seat at the Bistro. Makes it a great places for dates. I wanted to have a birthday party for my son at the movies and they so graciously helped me with that even though they haven't started doing that yet. I will take The Edge 5 over wehrenberg and the Lincoln any day of the week. The only down fall they have is they are unable to get Disney movies yet but as time goes that will change. read more

What is it with laser tag everywhere around here? It must be a regional thing. Anyway, so this is the midwestern version of the Alamo Drafthouse, and I am a fan. It is a arcade/laser tag place/restaurant and bar/FREAKING AWESOME MOVIE THEATER. Yeah, so I don't care about the kiddie stuff, and it kind of feels like an episode of (the original) Twilight Zone while you are walking through the arcade to get to the theater, but the movie theater is wonderful. You get to choose "Bistro-style" or "regular cinema-style". We went "Bistro-style" and will never look back: wide, comfy reclining chairs with fold-out trays for food and drinks, waiter service (you push a button by your chair), great audio/visual and adult bevvies! They have a few vegetarian options on there, and almost nothing healthy except hummus (served with bread) Everything we did sample was good, but not transcendent in Alamo Drafthouse-style. Mom ordered the veggie pizza and veggie sandwich. Halfway through the movie we ordered the artisan baked pretzel with mustard (highly recommended, best thing we tried). I can and will only ding them on not having more of a healthy variety. More veggies with the hummus plate maybe? A veggie burger? Kudos to them for having sweet potato fries- so close to a military base it makes sense to have healthy options. The alcohol selection should not be missed. read more

Going into the theater, I half expected it to be a home theater projector playing on a 9x12 screen. I could not have been more wrong. The theater was the size of a regular theater that you would find at a Wherenberg theater. The picture was very clear and sharp. Also, the audio was perfect; it was loud but at just the right volume. I payed $5.50 for a matinee at the non-Bistro theater which is half of what you would pay at O'Fallon 15, the next closest theater. Well done Edge 5. read more

I WILL NEVER BE BACK! My friend and I went to go see Identity Theft at the 7:15 showing. We showed up around 6:45 and for us being the first time there to watch a movie we went to the first counter we saw. It was the counter right by the lazer tag doors. My friend and I went to the cash register and waited. There was one worker helping 3 teenage girls cashing in their tickets. We stood there about 3 minutes and not once did the worker say help you in a minute or helped us. So we felt me might be at the wrong counter. So we walked around the counter to the next cash register and stood there. 3 employers walked behind the counter and not once asked us if we needed help or to say help will be on its way in a few minutes. As my friend and I almost ready just to walk out the worker that was helping the 3 teenagers finally came and helped us. She just stood there waiting and said nothing behind the counter. So i finely said I need one ticket for Identity Theft and she said "did you order it on line" and I said no I need 1 ticket. so I bought my ticket and she showed us the screen to pick out our seats. After we both got our tickets we asked how do we get to the theater. She pointed down the arcade and said just walk past the arcade past the bar and you will see another counter like this one and someone will be there to help us. It will be door number 4. So my friend and I walked all the way past the bar and found the other counter. But again no one was there and we had to wait about 4-5 minutes before anyone would help. When the girl finally showed up she looked at our ticket and said it is at door number 4. She said it like we should have just known to go to door number 4. So I said ok where is door number 4 (for as i was looking for big doors like at the other theaters i have been to) she pointed behind her and said that door. So my friend and I walked in and thought wow was a nice looking theater and the seats looked really comfortable. We found our seats on our own and looked over our menu. My friend and I ordered our food when the waitress (her name on my receipt is Fontez) came and she asked us for our credit/debit card. We told her that we would just like to pay in cash. She said that is ok but still needed a card just in case we dine and dash. Then we asked her how about we just pay in cash when you deliver our food. She said no and that we could just pay the cash after the movie. I then said but I don't want our cards to be used and she assured us they wouldn't be swiped unless we dined and dashed. So we gave her our cards. My friend order onion rings with her meal and the waitress had to come back and said sorry they was out of onion rings so she order fires. My friend also ordered a Sprite and got lemonade instead and had to return it for the Sprite. When we got the food it was just so-so. the cheese sticks was still really cold in the middle. After the movie my friend and I stayed to see if there was gonna be any funny out takes during the credits. So we was the last ones to leave. We went to the counter and once again no one was behind the counter to help. we waited there and a nice man helped us and asked us what he could do for us. We said we need to pay our bill so he handed up the receipts and told us to sign the copy and we said no we wanted to pay in cash not to use our cards! He said that we should of told our waitress that and we said we did and she said that we still have to give her our cards. He said no that we could of paid for cash when we got our meal. I feel we wasn't treated with respect of a paying customer. I get better service, food and better ticket prices at the Lincoln. read more

I LOVE the Bistro!! I've never even been in the regular theaters at EDGE 5. From the reclining chairs to the seat-side service to the delicious food..you just can't beat it! For a couple extra bucks, it's beyond worth it. And don't get me wrong--I love children, but it's nice to enjoy a movie without a baby crying or kids getting up and down for the bathroom. It's just one of those perks. And what's better than a 21-and-Up theatre? The very fact that this allows you to have a drink while watching the movie! Beer, burger, newest flick. My kind of night out. Oh, and if you're a fan of hummus, be sure to order the app. It's delish!! The pita bread is incredible, and the roasted red pepper hummus is so good it's hard to stop eating! However, be sure you're sharing this or be ready to take home leftovers. I ordered this as my meal one night, and even though I snacked throughout the movie, I couldn't finish my food. Absolutely LOVE this place. The Bistro theater is the way to go. My movie going experience will never be the same. The few times I've gone all have the same outcome: happy. The Hail Ceasar wrap is excellent, you MUST try the pretzel sticks, and the toasted ravioli is scrumptious. Watched Mokingjay pt 1 in the bistro last night. $12 for tickets, $3.50 for soda. Large popcorn is $6.50. I had the soft pretzel sticks with queso for $6. They were delicious and very reasonably priced for the amount of food for six bucks. The pizzas are all $11. Leather reclining seats were nice. Little trays were attached to every chair. The seats were comfortable. I would definitely see another movie here. The only downside is that service was incredibly slow. Turned on the light by the chair to order a soda and then after about 10 minutes went out to buy one myself from the concession. But it did look like the guy working was the only one and I suspect people behind us were keeping him busy. We ordered online and got to reserve our seats when we purchased them. We were worried because there weren't many seats left and we ended up in the second row. But we didn't have to worry because there's only a handful of rows and the screen was the perfect distance/height from the second row. I'd probably purposefully pick the second row next time even. read more
