Some plans we had made fell apart and we had some time on our hands so we went into the spa to inquire about massages and facials. You first notice how cozy and inviting the salon is and then you are wowed by the staff. Every person we encountered in the salon were very professional, and were more than accommodating. My mother opted for a facial, while my BFF and I had massages. My mom loved the facial that Kerry gave her, especially the little massage of the shoulders, arms, and hands. Her skin is still glowing from that facial. I am a avid believer in the benefits of massage and have been massaged regularly. I have never experienced a massage like the massage Kim gave me. I am in that stage of life where I am HOT (temperature wise) all the time. Kim used some cooling lotion on me and it was the most comfortable I had been all weekend. I reached a state of relaxation that has eluded me for years. Same for my BFF, her masseuse was Fran. The next day was our last day at the Resort and we opted to spend the morning having another massage before we left. Both my BFF and I are trying to figure out how I can get back there once a month to see these two miracle workers. If you have the opportunity to stop into the 702 Spa, I would highly recommend it. It's a full service salon, hair, nails, retail products even a collection of clothing. My appointment was for a VIP massage with their Milbon products. it was a two hour treatment that started with an assessment of my scalp the best procedure to move forward with as far as products and then a scalp massage and of course multiple hair washes. I was 100% satisfied and can tell you I was not disappointed. It's a very relaxing experience very spa in atmosphere and my technician Christen was exceptional. There are three different treatments you can pick from but I highly recommend the VIP. It was $250 and worth every penny the salon is conveniently located off Illinois Road in Fort Wayne. However, I usually only have a day or 2 notice or sometimes require a walk-in, but Crystal is a great men's stylist in high demand. I was relieved when I called Tuesday afternoon because I was able to make an appointment for Thursday with Raena, a new stylist under Crystal's wing. She did a fantastic job! At the end, Crystal made sure to come check her work and share her tips of the trade so Raena was able to bring it to perfection with a few more snips. She's a talented stylist and fast learner who I recommend! Details: After 40 minutes I was just as satisfied with my fade cut and beard trim as ever and the $15.00 price can't be beat so I tipped $20 cash on top! FYI cost of quality comparison: In Denver: I pay $35 haircut + $25 for straight razor shave plus tip for 60-90 minute appointment. In San Francisco: $75 haircut + $10 beard grooming or $30 for straight razor shave plus tip for 60-90 minute appointment.
