Milford Dental Group is the worst dental office I have ever been to. They seem to focus more on…read moretaking your money than actually caring about patients. About three years ago, I had a bridge done there, and it was a terrible experience. My gums never healed properly, I had a bad odor coming from my mouth, and the bridge was done incorrectly. Despite charging me a large amount of money, the bridge didn't even last three years. I later went back for a crown issue, and the first thing the dentist said was that I needed the tooth pulled and to pay $5,000. The very next day, I went to another dentist in Attleboro, who was honest, skilled, and truly cared about saving my tooth. He was able to save it and redo the bridge for a reasonable price. Now, they are trying to charge me for services that were never performed. This is completely unacceptable. Please do your research before going to Milford Dental Group. Do not even take your dog there. There are plenty of honest, competent dentists who actually care about their patients--this place is not one of them.

The staff was very kind, they made me feel listened to, and when they found cavities I was glad I could go back the next day to fix it. The day I got my cavities done was a whole different story. When I went in that day, I made two things VERY clear: I was anxious, and I would need more numbing than the average person. Every other place I have gotten cavities filled at has listened and given me extra doses of numbing agent if I needed it, even stopping treatment to add more. I got the gel and one shot, and by the time they started working I couldn't feel my teeth but I was less numb than I thought I should have been. My cavity was far back, so it was going to hurt my jaw regardless. They put something for me to bite in my mouth after they sprayed water in the back of my throat and I flinched. As the procedure went on, my jaw began to hurt a LOT, right around where all the work was being done. I told them it hurt, and they kept going. I tried to power through, and thought I was doing okay, but as the pain increased my anxiety got worse. My whole body was shaking on the table and tears started coming out of my eyes. I even wiped them away! They just kept working, and didn't stop until I raised my hand. I then cried for a few minutes and had to calm down a lot. After that they asked me if I was okay throughout the rest of the process, but how could they have not realized I was in distress? By the end of the procedure I could feel what they were doing to my teeth, they did NOT use enough numbing agent. The cherry on the cake was when at the end, after I had cried and been obviously upset, the dentist told me I should get Invisalign or braces because my jaw is misaligned. NOT THE TIME!! I thought I was okay, but the second I walked out of that waiting room I broke down and sobbed. I didn't stop crying for at least half an hour after, I felt so confused and hurt. I had told them I was anxious and I would need extra numbing, and I felt ignored. I have never cried during a filling before. It was the worst experience I have had in a dentist office, and I will not be returning.

Not because of anything I had done, but because of the mess my last dentist had left. I started going to Dr. Armet when I was about 17. During my first visit, he makes a comment about the crazy amount of cement still left on my teeth from when I had my braces. He asks how long ago I had them taken off, thinking my answer was going to be sometime in the recent past. My answer: 4 years ago. He couldn't believe my old dentist left it all there for so long. He then took the time to try to remove it. Now I have fun spots on my teeth from all that cement that had been there for like 6 or 7 years. 2. What? You're not supposed to feel like you're in a torture chamber when you're at the dentist? Who knew? Not me, that's for sure. At least until I started seeing Barry. So he's drilling my teeth, and I'm flinching. Dr: Can you feel that? Me: Yes. Dr: Why didn't you say something? Me: What? I'm not supposed to be able to feel anything? Dr: Of course not, tell me when you feel it, and we'll numb you right up. Me: Really? I was a kid when I started seeing my first dentist. It was my only experience. I had no idea that wasn't just how things were supposed to be. Apparently the first dentist was cool with all the pain, crying, and screeching because he was hitting unnumbed nerves with the freaking tools. Thanks, man. 3. I no longer live out this way. But I still see Barry. Sometimes people are surprised that I'd want to drive out there for the dentist. If they read this, they might understand. 4. My hygenist is awesome. I've been seeing the same woman for years and years. She rocks. Yay, Deb. 5. Liz, the receptionist, is so nice. She gets that I'm one of those people where if I have my next appointment booked before I leave, I'll show up at the scheduled time. If I don't have the appointment, I'm not going to call and make one, and it's going to be years before you see me again. Because of this, they see me every six months. So, that's a smattering of reasons why Barry and his crew are awesome. I'm sure there are more. But I think you get the idea.

His staff is guick, efficient and will present you for your dental appointment in a short period of time. Let's be frank, he does not waste your time or co-payment value. I have had many dentists, but he is a fully qualified general dentist who will provide excellent dental care. He practices with the latest technologies, and takes a genuine concern with the patient's tolerance for pain. I continue to get good care from Dr. Armet and his staff, but they are not a cosmetology clinic. Difficult patients, who need special care, should seek a boutique dentist, who offers gas, music relaxation and massages elsewhere.

That is why I switched, With this dental office, I was clear that my insurance was to be used and they are an in network dentist. They affirmed this. However, they set me up with a dentist that is not in network and waiting for certification. Thus, my claim was denied.They set me up with a Dr. that wasn't certified by Dominion. I had no idea until I got the denial in the mail. This will hopefully be reversed, but in the meantime they have been no help nor do they care. Most importantly is that I was there because they told me they took my insurance. The office said the Dr. was certified and the insurance company told me she was not. I do not recommend this office. They were not helpful in all this. Opposite. Their office evidently doesn't know who is certified and who isn't. This is an 'in network' office. They hung up on me when I repeatedly asked to talk to the manager. That's all I wanted. They would not do it. This office led me astray. One of the worst medical experience of my 75 years. Dr Harika and Rachel the new assistant were dead silent during my 3hr temporary crown appt. I hate when there's no chemistry between hygienists and dentists cause it feels really uncomfortable. Wouldn't give me the sedating nitrosoxide I requested. I had to keep asking Rachel to stop pushing the tool so hard into my top lip I thought it was going to bleed. Instead of acknowledging it, Dr Harika tried to confuse me and said "Oh yes there's a cavity right there that's why it hurt." Wicked insulting. One can imagine my surprise when I felt my dentist move suddenly onto drilling an adjacent, perfectly healthy tooth without any warning. I stopped her to find out what the hell she was doing. Her reaction was that she didn't legally have to tell me or ask first so, why bother? Not exactly the attitude I'm accustomed to in a dental practice but I know this does exist. Having had previous dentists whose overall office policy was to go above and beyond at all times to make their nervous clients comfortable and calm, I guess I'm spoiled. I will look for another dentist when this project is completed. After 3 weeks (the typical time frame is 2-3 weeks) I arrived for my appointment for the final step. After waiting a few minutes, the receptionist tells me sorry but the crown hasn't arrived and I didn't need to come. In addition, Dr. Harika is out of the office for 2 more vacation weeks. I will need to endure 6 weeks with a fllimsy temporary crown cover I can't chew on. Update: Shocker; my fake crown popped off, at work, and no response from the dental office. Not even an answering service, or outgoing voicemail set up. The message said: "The voice mailbox you're trying to reach has not been set up to receive incoming messages." Since I'm trusting them with thousands of my hard earned dollars in dental work, I feel anxious not being able to reach them in the case of a dental emergency.

My routine teeth cleaning has always been with the use if an ultrasonic scaler as I am prone to heavy plaque & tartar buildup and has proven to always be effective. My last cleaning a month ago was done by a manual scraping instrument during the entire cleaning and asked to have water spray scaler used instead but was ignored.Also I was told i had a small abscess infection on upper gums and asked for an antibiotic to help reduce/eliminate it so as to not worsen while on vacation and they denied my request. Other issue i had at this practice was the high turnover rate with the many different dental hygienists that have gone through the revolving door. As soon as I found one that I really liked she was gone by next cleaning which I get done 3X/year. Lastly, I am finding the original dentists who opened the practice are hardly present in the office any more only to be replaced by more different and new dentists which doesnt help cultivate a consistent and familiar rapport patient-dental provider relationship. I guess gone are those days...and oh by the way this dental office does NOT accept my dental insurance plan as of late for ANY dental service.

You can of course deny a customer service, but be nice about it.
