New Year, new me. In keeping with my attempt to eat a little better (it is not going too well), I decided to check this place out. This is a cute cafe that is located in the Kroger strip mall. Being that it is in a strip mall, there is more than enough parking available. The cafe has a few tables inside for you to dine at and it is a very trendy place. There are tons of smoothie options to choose from. It looks a bit overwhelming. With that being said, I would probably peruse the menu before you arrive to save you some time. In addition to shakes, this cafe has coffee, teas, and energy bombs (colorful fruity energy drinks). You can get different types of add ins for your shake that include protein, immunity boosters, and fiber. They offer a loyalty punch card where after a certain amount of punches you get to spin the wheel for a free drink. The woman working during my visit was awesome. She was very friendly and helpful. She explained much of what the shop had going on, being that it was my first visit and all. I got the Peach Cobbler shake. It took only a few minutes to prepare and it was ok. I did not taste any of the peach and it was heavy on the cinnamon. I wanted to like this place a little more, but I wish I enjoyed my shake more though. I LOVE this place! It's my newest go to place for an energy boost or a protein shake. I love the lady (I think the owner) she remembers me and gives me suggestions or different options. Today I went and got the special, I asked about how I could have one tomorrow without coming in as I won't be this way. She told me how to make it and gave me the ingredients so I can still feel the boost the next day!! After my first one- I felt more focused at work that many days previous. I will for sure go back! I don't have any photos to share of The Energy Spot, but - well - I was confused. I had assumed based upon many photos/reviews that this was a smoothie shop. It evidently isn't. They require you to set up some form of account before you buy a smoothie, which doesn't cost anything but is a hastle. The smoothies are apparently "meal replacement shakes" which would be fine if that were made clear before walking in. The staff is VERY friendly, but I don't usually want a 5 minute explanation before I order a smoothie. The product - could be better. I found my shake/smoothie to be chalky. I was more or less (by virtue of the menu style) forced to take some form of non alcoholic shot that tasted like bad Kool Aid. This establishment gets 3 stars because the product was decent, but not what I was lead to believe I'd be having before I had walked in. If you are LOOKING for a meal replacement shake, this is a great place to go. If you're looking for a smoothie, look elsewhere. read more

Love coming here for a low-cal but filling lunch or breakfast. The staff is friendly and the shakes really do taste like how they are described. Took my oldest and got shakes for lunch while we were out running errands. She got the banana split and I got the birthday cake shake. Both were super good. The first time my husband and son went to the Energy Spot, they said they would never return. The man behind the counter was demeaning and rude when they asked how to order. They were a bit taken back by this considering it's a new business trying to build up its clientele. Thankfully we went back (my son and i) and the second time around was better. A rep from the business was there and was super engaging and kind. He asked questions, made suggestions, and made my son feel a lot less awkward than the first time. The prices are a bit hefty, if I'm honest. It does include two drinks but be prepared for that going in. Great new addition to the strip mall near Kroger for those looking for a healthy minded meal replacement. My only complaint here is that it's a little overwhelming if you've never been before, but always seems busy so you feel a little rushed to get through the line. Luckily my first time was with an Herbalife veteran and he guided me through, but I honestly would have been completely overwhelmed on my own and not known at all what I was doing. This is an Herbalife club, but I don't recall that being made clear anywhere. You don't need to necessarily be familiar with it, but as I understand it this should be a meal replacement and not a snack. (Though they all sound *very* snack like -- peanut butter pie, peach cobbler, you get the idea.) There are energy shots and other things as well, but again just add to the overwhelming menu. I got an energy shot because my friend told me to, but not really sure why or what it did. Beyond the overwhelmingness (is that a word?) of it, I had a great experience. It's a relatively small shop with a little bit of seating, but clearly designed more to get you in and out. The staff was super friendly, and got through the orders as quickly as they could. Absolutely no complaints with any of the people there, truly top notch. My only complaint (if you want to call it that) is that I just felt like there should be an easier way to really understand what you're getting when you order. Definitely something I'll be researching a bit more. But I still recommend checking this place out! The Energy Spot is pretty awesome.. I hadn't heard of it, but a neighbor mentioned it to me when I talked about wanting a good smoothie. The ordering process during covid was simply, call it in (after looking at their huge menu) and tell them when you'll be there and what you're driving.. then they bring it out and collect payment. I have a strawberry oreo cheesecake smoothie/shake, mandarin shot and iced coffee. I'll start with the slightly bad.. the iced coffee didn't do it for it. I think they add protein to it and it gave it a bit of a vanilla flavor. I like my coffee black, so I wasn't a fan. Not to say it's bad, just different than what I expected and like. Onto the much better!! the Mandarin aloe shot thing... really yummy! great flavor.. allegedly helps digestive system. Cool, i'll take it. the shake/smoothie... came out fresh and non-melty... had a TON of flavor and a little bit of sweetness. It was probably 20-24 ounces I would guess? It was super awesome.. had great flavor, toppings, etc. Nothing to complain about... I got to thinking later in the evening as to how healthy it actually was, because it tasted too good. I dropped them a facebook message about nutrition and got a quick response with a picture saying their smoothies are around 230 (I believe) calories...that's crazy. Found this place via Instagram, so my boyfriend and I decided to check it out last night. Located in the Kroger strip off of Meridian, this place offers Herbalife protein shakes and supplemental caffeinated drinks. They have a HUGE selection of flavors to choose from. We were super overwhelmed when we walked in, not knowing what or how to order. The owner was extremely patient & explained the process to us and gave us recommendations. First, you choose your shake, then choose either a tea, coffee, or energy bomb. Lastly, you get a shot of aloe for digestion. The shakes are all under 250 calories, and can be used as a meal replacement, so I definitely wouldn't come on a full stomach. I went with the German chocolate shake with chocolate and coconut, which was delicious. I also ordered the peach tea, but will definitely try an energy bomb next time. This place being so close to where I live is dangerous, but I can't wait to return and try more flavors. The service was also great, we hung around for a while while enjoying our shakes and chatting with the owner. It's great to see that despite the pandemic, small businesses are still thriving, as The Energy Spot is planning to open more locations soon. Give this place a shot and you won't regret it! Edited to add as an after thought, but would like to see them incorporate more environmentally conscious efforts & eliminate some of the single use plastic. Decided to try this place out because of the raving reviews on instagram. Downloaded their club app and was easily able to order a small combo . Pulled curbside and they were rushing to get my drinks ! I ordered a mango aloe shot, tea, and energy shake . They also had many options you could add to your drinks for $1! Got the Elvis shake and WOW. The shake was pretty cool . With a nice blend of peanut butter and banana my sweet tooth was satisfied. I love this place, but I will definitely go broke if I go everyday. The prices are a bit steep but the drinks are all delicious. The morning girls that work M-F are SUPER FRIENDLY and the best around. Always greet me as soon as I walk in even if they're already busy with another customer. The younger HS age kids, usually weekend or later crew, aren't always as friendly and don't seem to know what they're doing or enjoy being there, just there for a paycheck but I won't hold that against the store. At least they have employees. ‍ The hours are not that convenient some days. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. We found out about this place about 6 weeks ago and fell in love with it due to the product and the health benefits of their shakes. They have to get their act together in here. We have tried 6 times to get a shake and only accomplished it twice, today was the last straw and this here I am writing an agitated review. Their hours are all over the place, what's posted is different than what's online, and their hours are different at other locations. The hours aren't posted on the door in Greenwood and if they were I just missed them. On two of the missed opportunities we were their 15 minutes before they closed and they were at the counter closing out the drawer and didn't acknowledge me meaning they just closed early. Closing at 5 on Saturday and 3 on Sunday is a huge missed opportunity. That is frustrating because we called the store before heading that direction because we live in downtown. Our first experience was so positive but the last 5 attempts have been crazy. Please update your schedule and adhere to that across your locations and specifically perhaps go over some customer service training with with one specific male employee at the Greenwood location that SEEMED to be more interested in flirting with the new hire skinny/athletic girl or checking his phone. He didn't explain anything to me and I had to ask a multitude of questions and just guess on things. Went on opening day. It was a big mistake! The man explaining how the ordering worked completely skipped over my husband and I and gave us a bad side-eye. Not sure why that was--maybe since we're late 20s and "young"? He started explaining to the people behind us and when I mentioned he didn't tell us anything he just rolled his eyes. When we got to the counter, another employee asked what we wanted. We said we had no idea what we are doing and he got obviously annoyed that he had to explain it to us. The drinks are subpar and like someone said in a previous review, you end up with four drinks for two people. I don't want a smoothie AND tea, I only wanted the smoothie--but they don't even give you that option. I'm so glad The Energy Spot opened. It's a little overwhelming the first time you walk in, and you do get 2 drinks as part of your order. But the meal replacement shakes are great, and everything is low calorie! Who knew a brownie batter shake could be about 200 calories?! Terrible explanation of how to order/how to pay. They give you 2 steps, without explaining what those steps are. Then after all is said and done you pay 25 dollars for 4 drinks when you only wanted 2 drinks! Drinks are not even that great. Never coming back, would greatly prefer Jamba Juice or Robeks. This place is amazingly delicious. If your down with the Covid Blues and you need a pick me up... then this place is what you need. They can fix you up with the perfect flavor and the right energy boost you need. I had the the watermelon and cool cucumber flavor energy drink and it was amazing. What an interesting place! I've never seen anything like it. Protein drink, tea and aloe shot? So many flavors that sound like they will be sweet but it IS protein so... it was a little gritty but not horrible. I love all the flavors we could pick from. I have been going to this location for over a year, but recently I haven't been going because the workers are more worried about standing around rather than working. Super confusing way to order and you end up with two drinks somehow. They also don't have drink carriers, so you're stuck either drinking your overpriced shakes there or struggling to carry them back to your car. Also, it's Herbalife, but if you ask them what's in it or anything, they dodge the question which is super sketchy. read more

Meal replacement protein shakes that are really good with dozens of Flavor options. It's the pace we go when we really want a shake but also want to be healthier. Their basic packages include the shake, a caffeinated tea or coffee and a shot of flavored aloe. The combination gives you a calorie Count under 240kcal and even less of you subtract the effect of the caffeine buzz. In addition almost every shake is dairy free which is a huge win for allergies or lactose intolerance. It's pretty expensive as the basic includes all 3 items (shake, tea, shot) and you can't just get a shake but it is really yummy. Also know that it is Herbal Life which started lIke all the other get thin get healthy programs out there but they just sell shakes so no pressure there. Lastly the people working there are crazy nice and helpful. Not sure what the negative reviews are about as I have neve had that experience. I stopped in for my first time. Never again. Asked the employee 3 times if there are artificial sweeteners (which I can't have) and he told me no. Both drinks were full of artificial sweeteners. I even explained in advance I could not have it. Know your product better or don't lie to customers, whichever it is. Waste of $8. My 14yr old wouldn't even drink them. Also, he made my first drink and then stood there and waited for someone from the back to come up and told him he needed to make my other drink. I have been going to different shake shop for the past 3 years and I can not express enough how disappointed I was leaving this establishment. Sunday, my boyfriend and I decided to stop in and try out this new shop. From the second I walked in I felt like just a transaction. For 2 people getting shakes our total was $17 which is the highest I have ever paid for 2 shakes (without getting anything fancy. Liftoff, specialty tea, Ect.) They had a system here where one person rings you up, the next gives you your tea and the last gives you your shake. I personally did not like this because there was no "getting to know your customer" interaction. My boyfriend asked if they could make his shake thick and they said "the only way to do that is to add extra scoops of protein". This is incorrect, to make a shake thicker you add more ice. In three years this is the first I have heard of the "extra protein" which also contributed to making me feel like just a transaction. Once we both got our shakes and tried them they were VERY watered down, to the point where they tasted like slightly flavored water. My boyfriend tried to interact with the guy making the shakes and the shake maker gave him a "why are you talking to me look". When we left by the time we got to my car the ice that WAS in my shake was already melted. My boyfriend threw his away because it was so nasty and not to the standards that we expect our shakes to be at. I will NEVER be returning to The Energy Spot because of this experience. It sucks that this establishment is giving off a terrible wrap for the Herbalife shake shops, when other ones are outstanding. read more
