Ordered a plaque for my husband's retirement from the Marine Corps. I went in 4-5 weeks before I needed it and was asked when the event was. And then said it would be ready the day before. It should have only taken 2 weeks to be made. So I feel like I should have been able to pick it up as soon as it was ready vs being made to wait the maximum time before it was actually needed. Upon the day of pick up it wasn't ready due to some issue with the engraved plate having to be redone. So I had to wait a little bit longer to pick it up. Upon picking it up I felt the wood used had a lot of scratches in it but it was painted over. I asked about it and the guy said that it was just inconsistencies in the wood. Which I get, but then, isn't that what sanding is for? It just seemed like there could be steps to improve quality here. The staff is cold. I agree with other reviews on this. Did I overall feel like it was worth the money? I had a specific idea in mind and only they provided what I wanted. So I did feel it was worth the money. Could service improve? Yes. Definitely. My husband was happy (because he wasn't expecting it) so l guess that's all that really matters here. read more

Interestingly enough, the MCCS website lists The Engraver's Gallery and not the engraver in the main MCX. I mean.... Either that was an oversight or subliminal messaging, but I followed their recommendation. Ha ha ha!! This is veteran owned/operated, small business that I am more than happy to support. It's in a commercial area adjacent to the new Super Star Car Wash on the 76. I wasn't in a hurry for my engraving by any means, but if I was, I suspect they'd do their best to accommodate a time frame. (Albeit, probably at a cost--and I'd happily pay if in a time constraint.) I'm taking another project in soon. I have a plaque that I want to recreate with a name change, and they said they can do it! How exciting! I got a plaque for my SgtMaj and they made a very obvious Grammatical error after I sent them what to type. They just needed to copy and paste. I couldn't replace the gift in time. To make it right for messing up a $300 plaque they slap me in my face and just give me $20 bucks off when I order two more. Not a way to make things right would not recommend people to a business that takes advantage of people and doesn't own up to their mistakes. If you mess up, make it right. read more

This is my second time working with TEG! My first experience was very pleasant but quick because I only needed some dog tags and small engraving done. Nevertheless, I needed to have two sets of tags made before my husband deployed. It was a rush order and they accommodated me within minutes. I didn't pay a fortune and their prices were EXTREMELY reasonable for such short notice! The tags came out beautiful and they were clean. Needless to say, I knew they did great work. Walking into TEG, they have visual representations of their most of their work hung on the walls. Also, they have a facebook page with images of their work and this really helped me recognize the quality of their work. Tradition is a big part of who I am and I wanted to surprise my husband with a MOTO gift for becoming an MAI instructor with the Corps. I spotted something on the internet but wanted to take it to TEG to see if they could make it come to life and customize it for him specifically! I had to secretly take all of my husband's mcmap belts so that he wouldn't notice. I provided the belts, and his tan tab so that they could be displayed properly on his plaque. I walked in with just a small idea and they absolutely blew it out of the water. At any other place, I would have paid a fortune for something such high quality. They custom cut, engrave and stain everything to how you want it. They have you sign it twice just to make sure. They do not move forward without your confirmation and they are extremely professional with their work and customer service. They were completely honest with me and explained every last detail. They were extremely patient with me (which I am thankful for) and reassured me that they would take very good care of my husband's belts. No one acknowledged us when we got in there, once one of the employees was finished with their customer, he just sat at the desk doing nothing, still saying nothing to us. Another couple minutes he asked how he could help us and it took about just about 30 sec to get our stuff and leave. Also no one in the building was wearing a mask, customer and employees. Very disappointed with the way my plaque turned out, I expected fine craftsmanship and it seemed like very little effort was put into it as there were several typos and the image was low quality. The staff there are helpful but I wish I had gone somewhere that engraves images on wood. read more

Ordered an ammo lid plaque from this shop for the first time. Received it with discrepancies and being upset left a bad review immediately since I knew the individuals retirement was the next morning leaving no time to get anything corrected. Recieved a call 5 days later from Andy at T.E.G. Initially the conversation did not go well but, towards the end i agreed that I did not give them a chance to rectify things which wasn't right. Andy is now having a new plaque made with the corrections and shipping it to the individual who recently retired at no cost to me. I am extremely happy that the individual will be recieving the ammo lid plaque that I envisioned and I appreciate the followup phone call from Andy to see what could be done to rectify my initial bad experience. I can't recommend this place do to the fact that every time I've visited this store someone was there for an issue on their order. Including myself where they dropped an item I was getting engraved. I received a call stating that it was cracked when it was opened by Engravers Gallery and that I would have to provide another. Horrible customer service! I've been their quite often and the last time I came here will be just that the LAST time. I have gotten daily large jobs done here for a little over 100 bucks. This time I needed 3 metal plates with very little engraving size is 4*4 and all three with the same wording the guy wanted $160. I knew the price was wrong right away and called him out in it he said it was right but would the give me a bit of a discount brought it down to about $80 because he was so unbelievably rude anyways I left and found another shop where they did all three exactly how I wanted for $10.00 !!! read more
