When the contractors were done with the remodel, the floors & tubs in both bathrooms were looking pretty rough... our next-door neighbors gave us an outstanding recommendation to call Ken... so we did! Best decision ever. Re-glazing was the plan. Ken came and took a look and advised to "refurbish" (if you will) the tubs and floors vs. re-glazing. We did and they look OUTSTANDING! They truly turned out beautifully! Ken and his assistant Scott were so kind and respectful. I met them at the house the first day, let them know we have a no-shoes rule (as we just refinished the hardwood floors)... they were very polite and complied with my request. Without going into detail, he became angry when I had questions, and hung up on me. (I was not angry-ironically was preparing to tell him a friend had recommended him and schedule.) I can't review the work quality. But I thought a heads up may be appropriate in case this happens again. Sometimes it is hard to find a good fit. I had the pleasure of having Grant himself come out and look over my basement. I had bought the…read morehouse two weeks ago and knew there was water in the basement. I had patched up the one main hole but had concerns about the cracks in the walls (which the foundation inspector told me I needed to dig out and fill in with epoxy). Grant spent the next twenty minutes with me schooling me in the simplicity of "how water gets into a basement." He walked around my basement and outside and pointed out the things that needed to be addressed (window wells, grading, guttering, pitch of driveway, etc.). All in all, he was very straightforward in telling me that I needed to work on those things and work backwards. That this was a simple process of eliminating the issues of why water is coming into a basement and there was no need for his company to do anything at this time. I could have hugged him. I had been preparing myself to ask whether he wanted an arm or leg as payment and he let me keep both along with dignity. It is such a blessing to find a company in a trade that is so honest. I plan on making a point of telling anyone who will listen about my experience and if and when I still am having issues with my basement I know exactly who I will be calling.
