There were a good amount of tasks that allowed us to work together as a team to get through some of the challenges. However, the animated helper in the room had a very low voice which made it hard for us to follow its directions and one of the puzzle games wasn't working. Look. I was a little worried about doing this with a room full of strangers. My son and I have never done one with anyone outside of the people we came with. Luckily, the family we were with were so nice and we all got on great. We also made it out. Yay us. About the establishment. First off, I stopped in the bathroom first and was pleasantly surprised that there was a bin of feminine hygiene products. I didn't need any, but to know that if I was in a bind, they were prepared to help a girl out. Thank you. It was so bad that during Timeliner at one point, they were literally giving us the numbers to the codes for the padlocks. This was my first experience at The Escape Game Tampa and it was a blast! Molly, Charlotte and Deshawn were all very friendly and answered all our questions. They made the experience very eventful! We decided to take our team to a team building activity and this was so much fun! We split our group of 15 into 2 groups and did two different escape rooms. The session lasted 1hr. What a fun time seeing each other work together, our personalities under different settings and a fun team building. It was economical for a team building activity. The staff were super friendly and helpful from making the reservation, to greeting us, to helping us with the game. Best part is...we escaped. Definitely recommend! read more

Neysha welcomed us like we weren't about to embarrass ourselves, and Rene delivered hints while watching us struggle like a proud disappointed dad. We escaped... with our dignity barely intact. I enjoyed this but it felt a bit overwhelming for our team. We were with some strangers and some kids and the rooms are all tough. Every room is a 6 or above. There are many puzzles and more than one room and to accomplish them all with strangers and kids under an hour was very tough. We ended up needing a lot of assistance and hints. It was like they were giving up on us. The rooms were fabulous though, very well set up, clean, and the puzzles were of varying types. The staff was pleasant enough but we started a bit late. A suggestion I have is to give more time between games so we can maybe get a more thorough introduction and explanation before the clock starts, especially if there are mixed groups so we can get to know a bit about each other and get a plan. I also felt it was pricey, but all escape rooms are like that now. read more

We started with Cosmic Chaos and then came back for Timeliner. Both games were so much fun and unique, with their decor and how the puzzles were set up. We have done all of the rooms in the Escape Game in Orlando and had the chance to get over to Tampa and try some of the games we don't have in Orlando. We arrived early and were able to switch to a different room so that we could have dinner and then come back for a second room. The staff was super accommodating and very friendly. We love that you can get hits without penalty, even though we try not to use many of them so we can challenge ourselves. We were lucky (and smart) that we were able to escape both of the rooms before time ran out. Such a fun experience for friends and family! Our kids LOVE escape rooms and love how this company sets theirs up! read more

The Escape Game Tampa is a great addition to Midtown. We went with a group of friends for my husband's birthday and had a blast. We ended up escaping in 56 minutes and completed the depths escape room. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were challenging and clean. I visited The Escape Game with a group of 12 to do the Playground. The challenge level was a 6, there other rooms are level 7. It was a fun game, one of the best escape rooms I have done yet but I would recommend doing it with maybe half as many people. We just had to many the room and to participate at all times. We were given clues throughout without asking so we finished about 10-15 minutes early. There were around 10 puzzles for us to solve. read more

We have tried every escape room at the escape room in Orlando and since we were in Tampa, we thought we'd see if they had something we hadn't tried. They did have two and we tried them one with time traveler, and the other was black hole. Cosmic outer space. As in Orlando, the folks in Tampa were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time and if we get back that way might stop and try one other one that we saw and we heard they're gonna be getting some new ones as is the Orlando escape room. It is a great family event takes you out for something different and it is especially nice if it's hot or bad weather or cold or you just don't know what else to do. The staff were so helpful, welcoming, and really valued our thoughts and feedback on the room we completed. We had such a blast playing Timeliner: Train Through Time! The concept of hopping between centuries on a time-traveling train was so creative, and the puzzles were super engaging and challenging. We managed to beat the game (just in time!) and felt like true members of the Time Crisis Management team. A huge shoutout to Mekhi and Colby, who were absolutely amazing! They were so nice and personable, making the experience even more memorable with their enthusiasm. If you're looking for an exciting and unique escape room adventure, this is it!
