First timer with my coworkers and my son. Our mission was intermediate and was to steal the Mona Lisa. It was challenging but so fun. Our guide was helpful and clarified instructions before and during. I really want to do another one with my 8 year old too.

For my husbands 45th birthday we came here cause he loves puzzles. We brought our daughter her husband & 7month old daughter & my niece & her husband. Man was it fun! We did bank heist, unbeknownst to us it was the hardest room (probably not a good idea for the first time lol) but it was so much fun to do! We really enjoyed ourselves!

Glad I finally got to try the escape room! We decided to go here for my dads birthday. When we walked in, the employees were very accommodating and friendly. I was nervous considering this was my first time being "locked" in a room for an hour but once we got started we had an amazing time filled with lots of emotions. We had to figure out so many puzzles inside the room and my dad and sister were contaminated and we had to figure out the cure in order to get them out. I really liked how they give you 3 clues to help guide you to figure out the puzzle. We finally got them out and then we had two extra brains to help us get out the room. Pros Friendly staff Helpful They served drinks They give you 3 clues to help escape Cons We didn't win! Bummer Cons

Very fun time! It was easy enough to not drive you crazy but hard enough to keep you challenged. Everything was organized and they give you a walkie talkie to ask for help or hints when needed. It was a good time but a bit pricey.

I love this place. Came here today for my third visit since 2017, the rooms have just gotten better and better. Working with Lara, the corporate event planner, I was easily able to schedule a large event for my group of 40 across 4 rooms. I always have such a great experience here, you bond so much with the people you are locked in a room with! Great place for small birthday parties or school wellness experiences. My favorite room I've done is the contagion because of the science integrated into it, but Space was also so much fun. I won't reveal too much, but you have to try an escape room here if you haven't before!

    Fun times!!

What a fantastic time! A couple friends and I decided to go on a whim, and chose the Bank Heist room. Half way through the experience, we realized it would have been helpful if it wasn't just the 3 of us, as it was a 10 person capacity room lol Lucky for us though, it was very warm in the rooms, so it REALLY motivated us to get moving and get out of there. If we had more people, the heat may have been too much. I do wish the rooms had fans or something to cool everyone off. We still had an absolute blast though! Very challenging, 4 rooms to navigate through, lots of combinations, locks, seek and finds, and riddles to overcome, which led to a TON of laughs!! It was a good time had by all. We didn't escape, but I'll definitely be back to try again!!

Terrible customer service. Sent us away when no one was there. They weren't nice about it and didn't care to add any customer service to it.

Fun outing with a group. I went for work, best team building exercise I have ever taken part in. However, our room was extremely hot!

Elyssa is absolutely amazing and you can tell that she loves what she does. When the staff is excited about having you there, it makes the whole experience better. Booking online is easy and their site has plenty of info on the rooms including trailers and photos. We found street parking easily on a Saturday afternoon. It's really close to Monument Circle so we got there early and checked out a few things before we walked over to PanIQ. It was nice to do multiple things and be able to park and pay just once so I really liked the location. When we walked in, my attention was drawn to the PanIQ Room throne...go ahead, press the red button! The waiting area was a fun yet cozy space with some seating and games. They do provide lockers for free and they have restrooms! When our room was ready we headed to the back to start the adventure. We chose to do Perfect Crime and it was a lot of fun. If you're not sure which one to pick, just give them a call. Elyssa and the whole team are wonderful about answering questions and are happy to help you choose a room that best fits your group. Before choosing, I asked about themes, brightness, difficulty, and accessibility. In this room there are a few steps (as in stairs) that you may have to go up and down a couple times so if you struggle with stairs, just make sure you have other people in your group that you can communicate with or talk to the staff about possible weekday accommodations. I believe there are only two physical locks in this room and the rest are what we call 'magic locks' that open automatically when a puzzle is solved. I really liked the tech in this room and the way the puzzles worked. The puzzles made sense and went along with the story. The difficulty rating on their site is "expert" and we were able to make it out with only two people. They do allow unlimited hints so you could make the room as challenging or as easy as you'd like. To make the leaderboard I think you have to use three hints or less. I'm not 100% sure on the number but we weren't fast enough to make the leaderboard either way. The room is rated family friendly and it was not overly dark or scary but you definitely have to do some thinking! If you had more people in the room, it would probably get a little toasty so I would suggest dressing in layers if you are wearing a hoodie or something heavy. Overall, this was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to go back to try Insane Asylum!

Enigma has very different feel than the first escape room company I went to. Unlike a lot of escape rooms (Breakout Games, Escape, etc.) this one is not a franchise. The rooms are entirely original from traditional escape games (no kidnapping or other overused themes). The room we did was called "Grandma's secret recipe" I believe and the goal was to search "grandma's" house and find her recipe before the bank comes to take it. The puzzles were challenging, even if they could use some tweaking. The staff was incredibly open to feedback and I think it's just developing currently. I imagine creating original rooms is more difficult than the kits many places use! I definitely recommend going in a group, because you never know who you'll be paired with otherwise. Overall I recommend Enigma and I'm excited to try out their "Haunted Dorm" this fall!

Thanks, Enigma Puzzle House, for putting Bloomington on the map for escape rooms!…read more These puzzle rooms were all the rage in Boston, but we never got around to it until now. And we're glad we did, because it was a great way to spend the afternoon. You basically get locked inside of a room filled with tons of clues. You're presented with a puzzle and then have only 1 hour to solve it. Who knew it would be such a rush! We went with some puzzle-room pros, and they were pleased by the level of difficulty at Enigma. $25 seemed somewhat steep for only 1 hour, but it's actually on the cheaper end compared to places in Indy and Boston. The staff were SUPER friendly and enthusiastic about escape rooms. ....I could see how it may be less fun if you're a group of 2 stuck with some strangers, but definitely grab a group of friends (or Team Building Event 2017) and go. You'll be reliving your Saw-victory for quite a while.
