Don't order the Matcha. I had a Matcha latte last Saturday morning and it tasted fishy. I took just two sips. My friend tried it and agreed it was fishy. It wasn't possible to get help or Exchange for anything because there is only one person doing orders and therefore a long line. So we left. I looked up and found that Matcha can be fishy when it is low quality or if it has oxidized. I sent an email to the Exchange that day and gave them the whole week to reply. Crickets! Nothing. Great coffeehouse/restaurant. Located right off of the St Norbert Campus, this place has a relatively young clientele, but there were "older people" like me there too! Many small and large tables available, including a few sofas to sit back and enjoy a coffee or smoothie. Today I ordered some take out for a business meeting. I did have an issue with some missed items which was frustrating. But I was happy that management made things right by comping a missed entree. Mistakes happen.... But how places handle these mistakes makes a big difference to me. Their menu is not huge, but what they make all seems to be pretty good. Husband and I went to the Exchange yesterday, and it was great! The environment had a nice, interesting vibe, and the coffee was delicious (banana pecan latte and a cold brew w/half and half and a shot of vanilla). The lady who took our order heard it was our first time there and was super friendly, telling us about the place and other places to check out. I went here with a small group of ladies for lunch. We loved the interior and the vibe of the place. The tin roof and skylight are beautiful. It was nice to see many college students studying and enjoying their coffees. I had the half avocado with Boursin cheese, egg, and Turkey bacon. Yum! I also had the strawberry avocado salad. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad this morning. After receiving and starting to eat my food, I noticed a bird feather in my salad. I brought it to the attention of the server and she took my meal without offering a refund or offering something else. I will not be going back. The Exchange is a such a unique and fun take on a coffee shop in downtown De Pere. The menu is extensive and there's something for everyone. However, they're famous for their bubble waffles. I have yet to try them, but I can't pass up a crepe when it's on the menu, so that's what I have ordered both times I've been. The food is made fresh and absolutely delicious. You order at the counter and the food is brought out to you. Very large space, plenty of seating, and a super cozy vibe. I have yet to meet someone who doesn't love this place! read more

We arrived at noon on a Saturday for brunch. It was not very busy. Ordered soup and side waffle. My daughter got chicken and waffles. The sign said 30 minute wait. After about 55 minutes a staff member came over and said they are having oven issues and our food would be out soon. About 7-10 minutes later my soup came out... barely warm. Sent it back. My daughters chicken was a diced up formed chicken patty. Yuck. It was like it was a cafeteria chicken patty. My soup came back hot and tasted fine. Really disappointed in every aspect. I stopped here for a late breakfast by myself. Ordered the southwest breakfast scramble. I think I was in a state of shock to know that I could get this on a waffle? (Even though the menu does tell you this....) That being said I ended up getting it on greens. I thought this dish was delish! It had the perfect ratio of southwest flavor to eggs ratio. Sometimes I feel like (in general) they can add too much stuff to overpower the main course-the eggs, but I feel like I had a great mixture of both in every bite. I'd say this is a little bit more upscale for a breakfast/brunch/coffee shop with decor, atmosphere and cost, but casual wear okay. Absolutely incredible. The pricing was the best I've seen in the green bay area for the food you got. The service was quick and the girl who took my order was very kind. I got the chicken and waffle eggs benedict, the bubble waffle was super fluffy and the eggs were cooked perfectly (I normally hate eggs). First time here and I love it! First the decor is really cool, lots of seating for large and small groups and plenty of little nooks if you are dining solo. Order and pay at the counter and they bring your food to you, the food is made to order so it takes a little longer but it's so worth it. They are apparently known for their waffles so being gluten free I was a little nervous about finding something I could eat. I was pleasantly surprised at the number of gluten free options, including waffles (which are delicious by the way). My friend and I both had the green eggs and bacon, which is two eggs over easy on a gluten free waffle, a bed of greens, bacon and avocado, delicious. The portion sizes are perfect, enough to feel satisfied but not a ridiculous amount so you can't finish. Now let's talk about the coffee, you have your standard selections and then you have some amazing speciality drinks. Overall it is a cute little place. The atmosphere is nice and cozy and I felt welcomed to come in. I ordered a mango smoothie and cinnamon roll waffle. I really enjoyed the smoothie however the wait time even for drinks here can be quite long. The food is good but is missing that wow factor that would put it on the top of my food ranking. I think this is my new favorite coffee shop. Super cozy and very trendy. They have a lot of big tables if you want to grab a coffee and get some work done and some cozier spots for just relaxing. The wife ordered a chai latte which she thought may have been the best she ever had, super creamy and just the right amount of spice. We split the wisco beer cheese dip. Super delicious, my only complaint is for the price and the amount of cheese they gave us, we could have used a lot more waffle bites. Although the staff is super friendly, service was very slow. This location is everything I want in a modern coffee house. I wish it was closer to my home but worth the little bit of a drive. I came on a Tuesday morning for a quick breakfast and the place was packed with people mingling and working here with the free WIFI. I ordered the most delicious and creamy chai tea I have ever had. It was rich but with the almond milk it was some how still a light drink. The fruit bowl must have had crack in it because it was that good. I think the fruit had sugar on it but it was refreshing and it really paired well with the fatty avocado/egg/bacon dish we had it with to share. That egg dish was the perfect bite and really filling even though it was like a small plate. Plenty of seating in this place and the little store in there looks cool I would like to come back and buy some things. The menu is huge and everything is so fresh. You have to come here! read more

Was on the hunt for amazing crepes for my daughter. Yelp brought me here. The crepes- strawberry Nutella, were awesome. Great flavor and presentation! The service? Meh. I ordered on the app and added a tip. No staff greeted me when I walked in. I saw my order by the Pick Up Here sign and asked the closest staff member if I was able to pick up and go as I already paid, which she confirmed. Honestly, for the price, it would seem as if customer service, even doing pick up, would be amazing. I was not impressed with the lack of service. This place is always hoppin! Salads and waffles are my go to orders and are fantastic! The walnut burger in the salad with that side mayo is absolutely dreamy! I thought it sounded strange at first, but it's basically a bunless burger, which is so common these days. The staff is always so nice! I'm always greeted when I walk in which I think is really great when places do that. I love the look of the inside it's very cute. They make sow delicious salads. Their green eggs and bacon salad is my favorite. Every time I go here I try and get it. Their lattes are delicious. I try and get their seasonal drinks. And I love the fun things they come up with for each season. But their classic vanilla latte is just as wonderful. I love how they have Apple Pay. Ordered lunch today...wait was much longer than anticipated at time of order which was 30-40 min, took an hour. Tried calling, many times, as I greatly dislike ordering from an app....Food didn't arrive as ordered, if order form specifically asks how you would like items prepared, prepare them that way. One item, green eggs and bacon salad, one of my very favorites. The eggs were so over cooked they couldn't be cut, under side of eggs dark brown!!! I had ordered them over easy... Waffles in the, chicken and waffles were quite cold and under cooked. All chicken in all orders, were to be panko, per order form preference. None of it was in 4 items! Usual Coffee Shop: snobbish, rude, and acts like you're offending them with your order...they require special names and codes to get what you want. A. The Exchange: Friendly and Happy to see you! Order whatever and your vocabulary won't be corrected by the "coffee police". B. Usual Coffee Shop: coffee tastes good but looks like something I can make at home. B. The Exchange: coffee art with the milk foam and espresso. beautiful coffee! Tastes as good as it looks. Appealing. C. Usual Coffee Shop: Dried up pastries that were "Baked recently" or prepackaged stuff that's tasteless and expensive. C. The Exchange: Homemade goodness or local fare that is selected and produced on site. Locally sourced is big to me. Fair prices...cheap is cheap and I don't do fast food.
