Most of the other bars within a mile radius of this joint seem to close down - perhaps it's to do with how clogged up this road is with traffic, or the fact that the sparse bars this area has to offer seem squashed and exposed at the bottom of flats the 80s produced. For all these reasons, Three Craws is like a spacious and family orientated ranch compared to that. It's part of a chain so expect the standard pub fayre - fish and chips, bangers and mash, two for £8 pound deals...I used to eat in here quite a lot with my ex's family and we always enjoyed the food. It was stodgy and wholesome. Nevertheless, we had the same complaint as Gillian did with bar staff. They were always ice cold and not too eager to help when things went wrong with the orders...which they had a tendency to. We had a running joke that everytime we visited the Three Craws, the drink we wanted to order wouldn't be available. Towards the end of our visits there, it was not so much a joke than a reason not to return. I don;t know if it was to do with the fact we visited on Sundays (which was quiz night at the time) but my ex's dad had various grumbles about the poor selection of ales. Rather than encourage the staff to amend the situation, they often seemed irate that we were dissatisfied. I work in customer service and the last thing you want is a complaint but we were very mild mannered and understanding of the whole thing, so to be treated by staff the way customers can often be rude to you at the other end, it's just gets my goat. It wasn't the end of the world that we couldn't always get decent beer or ales on tap, but a bit more sympathy would've been nice. This was a while ago now so the staff have no doubt changed but certainly when we visited the staff had a knack of blowing a chill into the air of an otherwise cosy, laid back pub. Hopefully something's been changed on that front because we otherwise have no complaints!

We swung in here prior to hitting up the Odeon for a film, there were four of us and we ordered in couple but still got our food at the same time. I had a delicious gourmet chilidog which I took a photo of to upload but yelps mobile app on my backberry hates me so I cannot seem to do it, definitely the phone or apps fault not mine ;-* The chiiliedog was perfect, soft bun, well cooked hotdog and the chilli on top was fantastic, a little bit of spice but not so much that it hijacked everything else. I would definitely recommend it, but it was a big eat. The chips were also very nice, crisp on the outside fluffy on the inside and tasty throughout. Also as I always say in Wetherspoons reviews, get the onions rings they never let you down. In general the place was busy but not mobbed and we got pleasant efficient service which couldn't be faulted. Cheap drinks and cheap food which punches above its weight in terms of flavour. If you fancy something simlpe or something a wee bit cheaper that the other places within x-scape this is a great alternative to TGI etc.

It has a warm, vibrant atmosphere, without being too noisy or brash, and the soft drinks (it was the afternoon) are on tap and not flat- as a regular drinker of coke in pubs, I regard this as an important seal of quality. Because it relies on passing trade, the staff are exceptionally friendly, and the prices are fair, given the convenient location. It doesn't have as much of an identity as the other bars in this area, but the relative calm makes it a much needed oasis.

Although this pub doesn't seem to have a theme or a niche market, it's a very pleasant, low maintenance place to park your bum and have a wee dram. With its decent prices, friendly staff and warm atmosphere, it's a haven for people wanting a quiet drink and a sit down away from the thronging pace of the city. It's great to utilise the pub's unusual layout and chill in the mezzanine upstairs. It's one of the few relaxed bars in Glasgow, and sitting up there makes you feel like you're genuinely getting away from it all for a while.

The drinks are averagely priced, with no promotional deals that I have heard of, which kind of takes the shine off of it, although that may change for special occasions or events. Even though it is small, it has plenty of seating and you always manage to get a table if you're there early enough. The clientele are older; it is an over 21's club afterall, which makes it all the better in my book. I'd rather party with a 35 year old than a sleazy young 17 year old! You never see underagers in here, which is refreshing. The bar is well staffed and there are always loads of security, which is really reassuring. I actually quite like the place despite myself, and it's somewhere where I would consider going more often, if I'm too skint for town!

We were lucky enough to get a table near the windows at the front of the place- I'm not sure we were daring enough to walk any where further into the place. We took our turns buying rounds, and as the night went on, the music seemed more and more danceable (not a word). Hahah, no, we didn't dance around, but we sure did sing a lot and do little chair dances. Let me just say that my boyfriend wanted nothing to do with the dancing and the singing part, hahaha! The womans toilets are a sight to be seen. I've never seen so many drunk women talking about the guys they're with, how she looked at her, how their makeup is done and where they're going later on. Loads of mirrors and stalls galore. I usually just keep my head down, get in and get out. Ha! Anyway, the staff here are friendly, especially in stressful situations where loads of drunk people want their booze. They do what they can to get everyone served as soon as possible.
