I made my trek down to this The Exchange Store on 10/01/19 too look for a new game to play on my playstation four because i got tired of playing the same games over and over again and I was also looking for one of my favorite movies of all time on blu-ray and they had it which was full metal jacket and I also ended up getting madden 19 just for the heck of it because I have not played madden in a few years. The workers seemed more interested in talking to each other and hanging out, than helping the customers. Not once did they ask if I needed assistance, and everyone literally needs assistance because almost all of their products are behind glass... I think I'll just order on Amazon. I had one of the BEST experiences at this location on Tuesday evening. I came in with my younger son and wanted to look and see about maybe getting him some games or things that are within his age group. Josh was right there to help me and answer all my questions. He made sure to explain and give great feedback on any game I considered. He was wonderful with interacting with my son as well. He was kind and patient and took his time making sure I felt comfortable with my purchases. He made sure to let me know about their amazing rewards program! As a single mother I have to make sure I watch my spending and knowing that once my son grows out of his games he can exchange them for store credit towards new game or use the Rewards we earned from our purchases towards new games as well! Hands down, the best Exchange in the area. I have found tons of dirt cheap "holy grail" records here. I don't know who keeps dumping this stuff off there, but thanks, keep it coming. I try to stop by about twice a year. Overall, the area is very active with a mall, Winking Lizard, and Square records down the street a few miles. This is one of the places that we go every time we are in town visiting family. The staff is always very nice and helpful. They just expanded the store into the full building space. We always find a good quality blu-ray, DVD, or game for our collection. We wish they had stores down here in the South! read more

i have tried time and time again to convince people the exchange is good but i can no longer hide the truth, the exchange is full of people who know nothing about video games to the point they called my copy of pokemon black a "fake" when in fact its just the european version of the game, and others saying they will not take my console because is "smells weird" when it clearly does not, and also why are you smelling my console? and one last thing, they STOLE from me! i had a copy of fighting force 2 for ps1 in my ps1 at the time when i got home it was not in any of the other game cases nor' in the console itself, not to mention the awful prices they give you for your console, my friend tried to trade in a ps5 and he was only offered 50$ so would i suggest you go the exchange? fuck no stay as far away from this place as possible it is not worth the time and should just die out as a game store entirely. read more

I went in here twice on Saturday april17th both times I was asked for I.D. for my purchases. The next day my fiancé went in made a purchase, when she wasn't carded she brought up the what happened the day before and the excuse was all purchases over 100 dollars we ask for identification (the day before mind you I was told it was standard for ALL purchases with ALL Customers). Putting what I was told the day before aside I could agree with this " 100 dollar excuse" if my first purchase wasn't for a controller priced at 60 dollars Anyways I don't wanna say it but it's funny that you carded me a black man, but didn't card my blue eyed white fiancé, especially when my first purchase was under the 100 cap that you guys stated the necessary amount to be carded. Needless to say the cashier was rude as heck and some words were exchanged but the undeniable truth is you told me one thing and did the opposite for my fiancé. read more

Staff is generally friendly and The Exchange is a great place to find old DVDs and video games for a good price. Prices for DVDs are $2.50 on up. Video games are less of a deal unless they are several months old. Since there is a series of these stores, if one does not have an item in stock, ask the staff if another location has it. There was one time where they were able to ship some items in from another store. Their buy-back program is a kind of a rip-off but if you are just trying to get "something" for your DVD or games, this place is fairly easy to work with. read more

The condition of the LPs they sell used are extremely poor relative to the prices. It looks as if they go on discogs to see what something is selling for and use the NM price for poor quality media. I would not say it is that great everything is over priced and you could trade in something brand new and receive pennies for it while they turn around and sell it for three times the trade in value. It is mildly disappointing to say the least. read more

The employees working at the Exchange in Fairlwan Ohio are some of the worst in the state. In my frantic search for a specific record on World Record Day, after visiting many other stores including a different Exchange, I called this store as a last ditch effort. A female voice said that she would check, and by a stroke of grace, she told me they had it. I was beyond the moon. I asked her to hold it for me, and SHE SAID YES. I gave her my name and told her I'd be there in ten minutes. When I arrived, there were 3 employees there (2 male 1 female), and absolutely no one else there. The guy directly behind the counter, I'm assuming the boss, sighed when I told him what I was looking for. He proceeded to tell me that "they" did not mention that they cannot hold record store day releases, and that it also was bought WHILE I WAS TALKING TO HER. The skeevy looking blonde girl laughed at me. I was practically in tears. I asked the boss if there was anything they could do, and he just told me it was "my loss". I was flat out lied to on the phone, and sneered at in the store. I will NEVER spend a dime there again. read more
