    Rare old books

You could spend hours and hours here. Reasonable prices. Okay-sized clearance section. Hidden treasures in genres you don't even usually look in. Two small things - they (currently anyway) have an extremely limited foreign book selection compared to other HPBs - like, only one or two books per language; and - beware the very smelly bathrooms...

A real gem! Right in a strip center, you'll see this big red sign for the store. Free parking, but the lot can fill up fast. They will buy your old books, board games, music, and movies. I gathered up 2-3 bags of fiction, textbooks, and music to see what I could get. Though it was just $10, I thought it was better than nothing. Also, even if they cannot offer much (or anything) they will recycle the items for you! So, it was a win-win for me! I planned to donate them if I couldn't sell. So, they helped me out with that! The staff is friendly. They even came out to my car to help carry in some items when I requested assistance. So, if you have a lot to bring in, just stop inside first and let them know you need assistance. Either they'll carry items or bring out a cart to help roll it all in. Next, head to the left and leave all your items there. Let them know if you want to sell or if you are just dropping off to donate. If selling, they'll ask for an ID and your name. While they assess the items in roughly 15 minutes, you can walk around until you are paged on the intercom. Once you get an offer and accept, you will get a receipt. Then you sign the slip and take to a register to cash out. The store is large and you can easily pass the time. Restrooms are available. There is a full section devoted to children's books too! Find movies, music, puzzles, games, magazines, and of course a variety of books. Not all items are used. Some are new too. Happy Shopping/Selling with Half Price!

This store is big. They sell all sorts of books ranging from school books, drama, mystery, law, sports, etc. They have a collection of fiction and non-fiction books. They also sell CD's for those who love listening to music. You can really find alot of used books here. I'm not sure if they sell new books but they probably do. Just like a previous reviewer, I have some CONS about this store. SELLING YOUR BOOKS -- It is nice that you can sell your used books here but they give back very little money. I recently came in on 28 May 2019 to sell a few books. They literally quoted me $2.95 for three items total - a big Law textbook, a Spanish dictionary, and a new (unused) workout/exercise DVD. What a rip off!! Why would I accept less than $3 on all 3 items? I couldn't even at least get $10 for the law textbook which I get was an older edition but regardless, it was a well conditioned (gently used) book. I gladly took my items back and left the store. It's unfortunate that their business practice of buying used books is very poor. I may be back to buy books but I do not recommend selling your books here because you will get very little money back. **** - 82 total reviews in 2019 - 291 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 31 May 2019

I love this Half Priced Books. Even though it's a 45 minute drive for me, I still end up coming here at least once a week. The selection is always great and the prices are super low. Shopping here is a great way to fuel my love for reading while remaining environmentally conscious

    The book I purchased.

I went yesterday to purchase a book I had put on hold, for my daughters class. The wrong book was purchased so I had to go today to exchange it for the correct book. The only two copies they had there has writing all over them and inside the books. The price they charge shouldn't be more than what you can buy the book for new on Amazon. A new book on Amazon is seven dollars but I can't wait a week to get it so I had to purchase it from here. The gentleman behind the counter yesterday was pleasant but the man behind the counter today seemed a little irritated and unfriendly.

    Unbelievably low *buying* criteria. BULL

Now before my review is read I will say I like the store as a whole, and their prices are fair. +2.5 star- great store with the yummy book smell +2.5 star- interesting selection -3 stars- their selling option. I brought in a bunch of books from my child hood in great condition, hard backs not even read, *claimed that some of my books were series books that they wouldn't sell well* F**king bull Sh*t. ***Only got 8.50 (not even enough to buy the book I wanted)*** *Rip off in selling* May go back for buying

My son reading in the kids area.

Hidden Gem! They have a great selection of cheaper board games, books, and office supplies. I wish I found this place sooner.

I found an absolutely gorgeous set of His Dark Materials from 2008. Just stunning books. Great…read moreprice on them too. This place is really great if you're looking for "their type"...which seemed to be Christian definitely, nationalist maybe...so if you're into that you'll love it. There WERE sections for diverse topics-they were just either empty or nearly so. Maybe a bunch of witchy liberal first peoples recently came through and they haven't recovered? There were whole aisles devoted to Christian books. All in all, not diverse but they do have nice books if you are looking for what they carry.

Love that there is a hole-in-the-wall style book store in little ol' Wooster. It's just one of many…read moreshops that really "make" this little town. This shop has two floors packed to the brim with about any kind of book imaginable. An entire children's section, foreign language books, old collectors books, and more. If you wanted to put together a bookshelf full of classics that actually look like classics in worn, brown leather binding you could definitely get your start here. There is every section you expect from a book store. An extensive collection of fiction starting at the front of the store, with classics and nonfiction in the back and upstairs. The children's section is also upstairs. There are a few places where you can sit and read. This being a primarily used book store, you can sell and trade too. Highest dollar is given for nonfiction, with hardbacks being at the top of that list. You can sell your books outright with no obligation to use the money as credit only. However, like with most trade-in places, you will typically get more value if you apply it in credit than if you take it in cash. Absolutely worth a visit, even if you're just looking to browse the day away in town.

Its a nice book store. It was clean and easy to navigate. They have a nice selection of used and…read morenew books. I thought I'd buy a book, but instead I bought a necklace. At their register, they have a little selection of jewelry.

Walls of Books is an amazing bookish vibe! I love everything about it. It's a locally owned, small…read morescale equivalent of your big box book retailers - BAM or B&N. It has everything you need and more than enough impulse buys! During fall it smells pleasantly like the loveliest fall scents! I loved everything about! I visited during a book crawl (ah yes, it's a thing and I loved everything about it too!!!) INVENTORY: There are plenty of categories at this store that you'd normally find at corporate book stores. Some categories really impressed me. There is a shelf of foreign language books. There is a kids section with books and plushies. There are plenty of souvenirs that I really appreciated. Especially loved Freida McFadden game and book nook! There are multiple shelf of used book with pretty good finds. The associates at the store shared that they tend to look at local book clubs' reads and stock the books. I easily found a book that I couldn't find anywhere locally (indie store or large retailers). MY BUYS: My friend and I browsed this store for awhile. I wish that I had hours to browse that day. We both purchased a popular thriller at full price (market price). We felt really good about supporting local. SERVICE: The service was really amazing! My friend and I asked about potential international reads for our international book club. It was a very obscure question. Within minutes the associates provided us with a huge list of potential books. I've never seen such accommodation and efficiency! We were able to also ask a lot about the store and inventory. We were treated so nicely. The service is simply incredible! MEMBERSHIPS: There are a few memberships and savings available at this store. Free membership allows you to sign up for free, then you get $5 off when you spend $100. The paid membership is $20 for one year. You will get 10% during every purchase. I'll look into memberships during my next visit. I really loved The Walls of Books! Love the selection! Love the service! Love that I can find local book club reads! I will be back to shop here for book club finds and winter book hoarding. I very highly recommend visiting this store!
