I have to say I was skeptical because its only 30 min and I'm used to working out for 1.5 hours which was difficult to fit into my schedule on a regular basis so it often got sidelined. Boy was I wrong 6 weeks later and I'm feeling better then I have in years and seeing faster results then I was in the gym! This is truly a judgment free-zone everyone is so nice and the trainers are always willing answer any questions and there to help you as well as push you when you need it. I bought a 13 month membership and I can't wait to see how I'm looking and feeling by then! If your on the fence just do it, your worth it!

When a friend recently invited myself and my colleague (the owner of the studio where I work) to participate in a private training session, we took advantage of it. We agreed that it was one of the best workouts we had done. We returned the following week to attend a group class. Having trained at Barwis on two occasions, to say that we were impressed is an understatement. We found a fitness facility that can supplement our martial arts training, and get us in amazing shape. First of all, the facility is clean and stocked with state-of-the-art fitness equipment. Weight machines, battle ropes, bands, hurdles, Swiss balls, boxes (for jumping), treadmills, slam balls...you name it, they have it. There is a turf field that runs the length of the facility; I believe it is 100 yards long, perhaps even longer. Second, the trainers are straightforward, encouraging, and knowledgeable. I found this to be true during both private and group sessions. Third, the workout is intense and results-yielding. I have never participated in an hour-long exercise regimen that hit all muscle groups. The soreness lasted for a few days, and short-term results were immediately noticeable. I am looking forward to the longer-term results! In short, Barwis is a state-of-the-art facility with top-notch instructors. If you want results, choose Barwis.

Pilates has helped me so much with movement in my daily activities, while it is more costly than a gym, you get so much more with the instructors helping you in every class to ensure you are doing the movements correctly to get the most benefit. This studio is always kept clean and the staff are all friendly! I started Pilates several years ago when I retired and decided it was time to make health my priority! I will be doing Pilates the rest of my life! Sign up for an intro class and you won't regrets it! My only complaint is the classes do fill up quickly so I have learned to book as far ahead as possible.

Carrie does a great job explaining how the movements translate into our everyday lives and which muscles we're working. Paula was amazing at explaining the foundations and making sure everyone understood the exercises and helping us perform them correctly. I also really appreciate that Debbie uses hands-on corrections to help with form. It makes it so much easier to understand what I should be doing. My only feedback would be that I wish there were more classes available overall, especially before 8:00 AM. I would love to see more Reformer 1 classes in the early morning and/or more Center + Balance classes. With my work schedule, it can be difficult to find classes that fit, and getting there after work can be more challenging. Classes do fill up pretty quickly, although I will say that even when a class is waitlisted, it seems very likely to get off the waitlist and make it in! Overall, I've had a great experience so far and would definitely recommend Club Pilates, especially to anyone who is new to Pilates!

Wonderful barre studio in the heart of Novi near the intersection of Novi and Grand River. I am…read moresomeone who has experimented with many types of workouts and have had to pivot due to injuries, but barre has quickly become a staple workout routine for me. It is challenging while also mostly low impact and you will use a combo of bands, balls, weights, the barre itself and other equipment which truly helps to shape and tone the body. I was a bit skeptical at first about this workout as I prefer high intensity and drowning in sweat = a workout well done but this workout still manages to help me break a sweat, and challenge my body and tone me in ways other exercises have been unable to touch. Also importantly, the instructors can help you to modify any exercises if you have existing injuries. There is a workout here for everyone: classic is great, especially if you are new to barre; empower is great if you crave a high intensity workout with a barre twist and reform is great for strengthening your core with Pilates type movements and resistance bands being utilized. The work outs are similar to each other but each work out session is unique which keeps things interesting plus the high energy music played is awesome to keep you engaged and your heart rate pumping. The owner Bridget is warm and welcoming and has amazing instructors here - Ani and Jade to name a few are wonderful. Bridget keeps things exciting here by planning fun events, offering fun challenges that can lead to prizes and / or discounts, and celebrating the holidays and even offering little bonuses such as a eucalyptus towel to cool down after workouts. The environment here is very positive and overall most of the attendees are decently friendly. Bridget also stocks very cute tavi noir and toe Sox along with some of the cutest yoga / barre / Pilates apparel I've seen! I love shopping here also for my workout clothes and discovered the brand Beyond Yoga thanks to Bridget curating some epic workout styles here! The only con is I do wish more classes were offered after 6 pm on the weekdays and adding one early afternoon class as opposed to mornings on the weekends would also make this place even better for me, as the classes can occasionally fill up so you do have to reserve a class sometimes in advance depending on the time slot. The staff is understanding if something comes up last minute and if you call to let them know you cannot make a class you intended to which is very helpful also. Bridget is considerate always offering fruit, water, and other treats to her students. The instructors are professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, and genuinely care about their students. They are willing to provide modifications and hands-on adjustments, which are appreciated. Their energy is contagious and they are so positive. Each instructor comes with their own skill set. With that, they each bring in their background of dancing, athletics, teaching, and the corporate world. Every time I walk into the studio I am greeted with a friendly warm hello and a smiley face. I reported it, and I hope it got fixed I just go to other machines. Otherwise, it's pretty clean and with the New Year really crowded. The best time to go is early morning, because this is one of the smaller locations and fills up quickly.

I go because I have seen amazing results! After I turned 50 years old, I figured that I won't care what my body looked like and I would be too flabby to fit into my bikini - you know, the aging process and all that. I have more muscle tone all over my body than I had in my 20s. I attend 2 30 minute sessions a week. We do a few minutes of warm-up, then weights until stretches at the end. Every minute is full here and after 30 minutes, I'm tired. I am very, very pleased with My House Fitness in Novi, MI!
