I have a busy schedule so the front staff need to communicate better for bookings. I called three…read moredays in a row trying to schedule an appointment for a contact lens fitting. I understand them being too busy, the confusing part was they gave me a different quote and different timeframe each time I called. Maybe they didn't understand, but then I feel they should be able to ask questions or explain to me why they were confused. Finally 3rd day of calling I got an appointment but it was booked at a different time than I thought. Optometrists and assistants that help fit glasses were very friendly and helpful. But booking was a confusing nightmare. Maybe I talk too fast? Or don't know what kind of appointment I need. But I still feel they should be asking questions to figure this on their end.

I have nothing but good to say about both Tannis and her new practice at Iris Optical in Timberlands, Red Deer. Her, the reception, and the techs at Iris impressed me with both their extremely thorough eye examinations and friendliness. Once my examination was complete, Valerie Cerkownlak (Manager) helped me pick out new glasses, and her suggestions and honesty in helping me choose frames for both regular prescription glasses and prescription sunglasses was invaluable. I got an appointment at 6:30pm which allowed me to get home from work and change before leaving for my appointment. Service was super nice and amazing that they finally implemented a new technology instead of getting shot in the eye with a puff of air! Got my new glasses within a week and fantastic that they provide free cleaning of your current pair while your there.

I came in wanting all-plastic glasses and left with beautiful, Bulgari, frameless, all-options, probably my last glasses thanks to Chris ... so happy with them. Then just months after their warranty ran out, I was being rushed by a friend whilst cleaning them and handled too roughly and broke an arm -- cost $500 yikes !! Kayleigh went to bat for me and Bulgari Co. covered replacement free of charge, thank goodness. Then this summer I wasn't going to take them whilst camping due to their delicate but gorgeous frame but decided to and broke an arm off when I placed them on top of my car seat. I was heartbroken but Kayleigh AGAIN went to bat for me having them fixed in-store. I am a low-income senior so what a relief. Like surgery, I found caring is so important after sale and Consumer's Optical is outstanding in my experience in sales, staff, and after-care. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

She pumped me through in about 3 minutes and said "your prescription has changed" without thoroughly assessing my vision. Was treated like cattle I then went into their sales area. The lady who was trying to help me find glasses was rushed, made me feel like I was bothering her when I was asking for a certain colour and style and she proceeded to show me the wrong ones, then took me to the kids section, walked away in a huff telling me "I'll give you a few minutes" and never came back, never came to check on me. I will never return there, I will never recommend this place to anyone
