Shocking disregard for patient safety and data security. I received an email that appeared to come from this office and contained a link that VirusTotal flagged as potentially malicious. Out of basic concern for other patients, I notified the office so they could confirm whether the message was legitimate and check for any potential issue with their email system. Their response? They told me to "stop spamming" them (after a total of three messages) and dismissed the warning outright. No professionalism whatsoever. This was alarming coming from a healthcare provider entrusted with patients' personal information, prescriptions, billing and insurance details, and other sensitive data. At a minimum, I expected them to take a potential security issue seriously -- even if it ultimately turned out to be nothing. Instead, their reaction made it clear that they do not treat possible risks with the level of responsibility patients should be able to rely on. To be absolutely clear: I am not claiming their systems were breached or that any patient information was accessed. My review is strictly about how they responded when someone tried to alert them to a suspicious email that appeared to originate from their email address. Their response leaves zero clarity about what happened, how many people received it, or whether any monitoring or safeguards are in place at all. That alone is enough for me to no longer feel comfortable trusting them with my information. I believe the responsible thing to do would be to send out a mass notification to all patients instructing them to not click on any emails, and to launch a security investigation. I strongly recommend choosing an optical practice that takes patient concerns seriously, understands basic security responsibilities, and treats people with respect. It's a shame, because they do carry unique boutique frames -- but based on this experience, I cannot recommend this office to anyone. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! I called ahead from PSL to inquire if The Eye Man at the B & E Flea Market accepted my vision insurance. He told me he does work with my vision insurance and I drive all the way to Stuart because he carries the brand of glasses that I need. When we start talking price he says he will give me 25% off! That's NOT how my insurance plan works. After some angry back and forth where he tells me that's the deal he has with VSP I leave without purchasing anything. I call VSP and they tell me he IS NOT affiliated with them. So it turns out that he just said that he was to get me in the door. Sleezy way to do business!!!! Not to mention he told me a bold faced lie. I won't be going back there again. And if you go there you shouldn't pay full price for anything. You too should get at least 25% off!!! I appreciate your attempt to CYA but there was no confusion on my part. I contacted my insurance carrier prior to coming in and they DO COVER regular sunglasses when laser corrective surgery has been done. I called you before coming in and asked specifically if you were affiliated with them. You told me you were but as you are now admitting, you are NOT IN NETWORK and saying that you work with them is bending the truth! You simply give discounts which is not a bad thing but you should be honest about that!!! Im sorry to say that won't be shopping in your store in the future. read more

Quality frames and professional and extremely knowledgeable service. This is not a typical chain for eyeglasses. Fabian and his staff have over 37 years of experience and they will find you the right frames and lenses for your vision needs. I have a very strong prescription and The Eye Man was able to have glasses made for me that are so clear, I am ecstatic. Fabian and his staff also recommended an eye doctor that was the best I've ever used!! It was worth the expense to have had such personalized care and fabulous vision. read more

The staff was friendly, the selection was great and when I ordered my glasses they informed me because I bought a pair of Swissflex glasses that they would be making and donating a pair to a child at the Hibiscus house here in Stuart. Great place. Very knowledgeable, takes time to figure out problems other so called opticians created.

They have great frames but are not easy people to work with. I had placed an order to be shipped out of state and I received the wrong frame. They refused to refund my money but offered to replace them with the correct frames. When I showed up to swap out the frames I asked the owner to do the eye measurement for me so my out of state optometrist could make the lenses quickly and he refused. Guess he was angry that he wasn't making the lenses for me. Oh well. read more
