    Before the color correction

    Service recovery After two bad hair experiences, I decided to give SOG another try. This time at their sister location. Before my visit I expressed my frustrations with the manager and she assured me that I would be in great hands. My new stylist listened to my concerns and addressed how the color correction process would take place. She explained each step to me, and she brought out color swatches so I could visualize the end result. My hair is now PERFECT! I'm beyond grateful for everyone that helped me see this hair debacle to an end. I would definitely recommend this salon. I am only giving 4/5 stars because it took a few visits but my hair looks great

    Showed Olivia a picture of what I wanted and she was realistic about how light I could go with color since my hair is naturally dark. She did a great job! Very friendly and experienced! Definitely recommend her! Pics attached of recent visit :)

    Anna is my hair stylist. She listens to what you need and helps you see things that you didn't see for yourself. I walk away with great hair every time! The Salon it self is clean, vibrant and has little refreshments. I do wish they had better and more comfortable chairs at the hair washing station. fantastic quality! Definitely ask for Anna!!

    Well first of all this places is great, everyone is so nice, they offer you water , coffee, cookies even a blanket if your cold so it's pretty cool. I had my appointment with kelly and she is just amazing, i was really scared to get my hair dyed but I'm glad i did she did a great job i love it and everyone thinks i look super cute so i really recommend this place! I wouldn't trust anyone with my hair before but now i do with her!

    The salon is full of such awesome ladies! You are greeted with a smile as you enter. Sara is my go to stylist. She always listens to my hair ideas & helps me achieve them or tells me when it isn't a good idea for the integrity of my hair. It's always a treat to get my hair done with Sara. I never know if she's going to be singing, dancing, or making laugh.

    UPDATE There was a miscommunication: Salons at Stone Gate offered a full refund this morning that I didn't know about earlier. This is very much appreciated. The three stars are obviously for the oops, but I'd like to state that they are working their best to make this right. Thank you! ------------------ I'd like to share my experience with this salon, that charged a lot of money with poor results and then a lie to make me go away. I had an appointment with a nice lady who despite being very nice, was unable to do a proper perm. I asked for curly hair and what I got was a wavy, frizzy mess. My stylist had originally said she was going to trim the ends for health, but said it was unnecessary, not because that was the truth, but because her ext appointment was due. And she never had me sit under the heat lamps, which is why the perm did not take. Her efforts probably would have turned out nice if she had spent the time doing a proper job instead of nervously watching the clock. Despite being disappointed as soon as it dried, my sister-in-law called for me about getting it fixed or a refund. They told her they could take me on Monday. Now, I had clearly told these folks that I was from out of town, leaving Tuesday. So I drove here this morning as instructed (Monday) to find their door clearly showing they are closed Sundays and Mondays. To put this in perspective, I am a working Mom with two kids, visiting family for my new nephews baptism. This was the only time I had to myself to do this- the last time I had a perm was 20 years ago. They didn't get it right, which is upsetting. What makes me angry is the lie, telling us to come on Monday to have it fixed when they are clearly closed. If you are reading this, I encourage you to go elsewhere or have a serious talk with your stylist about what you want.

To…read morebe clear, I am rating my EXPERIENCES and not the salon as a whole* ** I booked an appointment online through their booking app with Victoria for a cut/color/highlights/style and was very excited as Victoria's reviews were great** 8/3 - My first appointment. As to the things that happened during this period though 8/9, I would keep my rating at one star. The one star rating applies primarily to the actions taken by the former employee who was assigned to do my hair versus who I had booked with. A smaller percentage to someone that could possibly have changed the outcome. Why the one star?Disappointment and genuine sadness with what I have lost. I am not exaggerating when I say that this is the worst cut I've ever received. I'm not crazy about the color either as it's not what I went in asking for but that is more my fault for not standing up for what I wanted. I had a love/hate relationship with my hair but for the most part, I thought it was really pretty. It was feeling dry so I wanted to take 2-3 " off. Not a big deal because my hair was way past the middle of my back. But I was deceived by the woman wielding the shears as I asked her directly at least twice if she was good with cutting my hair type. She said she was. That day as I walked out of the salon I felt satisfied with the glance that.I had taken in the mirror at the finished result. Looked okay. As soon as I walked out the door I took a few selfies in the bright sun and was pretty shocked at he color. Shame on me. Later that evening upon returning home, I combed through my hair because it had already started to curl. Again what I saw shocked me. I sat down the next day and wrote a lengthy email to the Studio explaining my concerns including pictures. I didn't hear from anyone so I called that Tuesday, spoke with someone and set up an appointment for Friday 8/9 for an attempt to fix it. +8/9 - 8/26+ I would rate this period with 3 stars. Took off work to go see Victoria for an attempt to right the wrongs on 8/9. Prior to my appointment earlier in that week, I had washed my hair and found that the errors were much more noticeable and more pronounced than what I had seen dry. Knowing in all reality that this could probably not be fixed, I walked in to the Studio on Friday and was greeted so nicely by Victoria, who I find to be a very kind, genuine and honest person. She took a quick look at my hair and then we went to wash/condition it. She took her time and gave a great service at that.During our time together I was let known of certain circumstances concerning the former employee. If nothing, Victoria is a very honest person. I admire that in her but she is such an open book and so caring, it allowed her to be taken advantage of by the emplyee. That, in turn affected me. That sucks. I know that Victoria really wanted to be able to fix my hair. I know she felt badly and she apologized so many times. But in the end. I asked her to just please stop cutting.. It clearly could only be fixed one way. That is going to involve me cutting my hair into a bob just below the chin. She gifted me with some products which was a nice gesture. I left and went home. I thought a lot about everything that had happened and what had been discussed and the next day I sent a long email telling Victoria everything that I thought could p traps have been done differently which might have resulted in a different outcome.I ended the email stating that I wouldn't leave a review as a courtesy, thinking I would hear from her. A week then two went by with out a peep. So yes, I went back on my word and left a review that was honest but harsh. I was contacted and a meeting was agreed upon for today. We calmly discussed everything and I believe both sides can move on. While my hair is still an issue I'll find a way to resolve it So for today I rate them FIVE stars. Portraying kindness and genuine concern goes a long way with me. We are good. I'll see you again next year, Victoria. . Julie
