As a backyard chicken owner, I was excited to see this place appear on my searches of farmer's markets in West Palm Beach. When I saw the pictures, and read the reviews, I was eager to pay a visit to get some fresh produce to bring back to Tampa, and, of course, admire the gorgeous chickens I saw in the pictures. It was a challenge to find the place, but only because the directions on Google maps had us going down a street into a housing development, when the actual entrance to the farm is just past that gated entrance. There is a sign labeled "fresh eggs". You can't miss it. Unfortunately, I'm sorry that we took the time to visit here. While we thought we were going to see what others had posted, was actually the opposite. There were many chickens, all in cages, none roaming freely like in the pictures. Some were very, very crammed. And if that wasn't horrifying enough, there was another small space with 10-15 white roosters with their tails cut off. I don't understand the reasoning behind that, nor do I want to at this point. There weren't any veggies, but there were plenty of sad looking chickens in conditions that were questionable. No fluffy dog snuggling with the hens. And trash all over. The property looks like it's used as a dumping ground for other people's furniture and trash. If you are a chicken lover, pass on this place. Or better yet, buy some chickens to bring back and rehome at your own farm. This place should be shut down, in my opinion. read more
