INCREDIBLE VENUE! My sister just got married here and everything was perfect. This venue is ideal because: - It has a house for the bridal party to get ready in (we had 9 bridesmaids and there was plenty of room for hair and makeup) - Picture perfect outdoor ceremony spot (and a backup indoor spot as well) - A patio for cocktail hour with beautiful views of the property - The barn itself is just amazing on its own - Easy accessibility with the option to have a golf cart transport guests if needed, this was very important to us as we wanted all of our guests to be comfortable They have really thought of every single detail with this venue. This place was so lovely and magical! Hubs and I both agreed we would've absolutely chosen this special place for our wedding reception if we were doing a more traditional party and one outside of Philly. I looked at 61 reception venues so I think that says a lot. Yea, crazy lady...that's me. After some, ok, a lot of experience, I know how difficult it could be to find a place that's both a beautiful and unique, not insanely priced AND has tasty food. The Farm At Eagles Ridge nailed it in every category. The cocktail hour was held in what they refer to as the "Corn Crib" which is decorated with two stunning chandeliers overhead, a tufted couch and small details making it a very cozy, homey atmosphere. The couple had chosen to have three musicians play some light jazzy renditions of popular songs for the hour and they too fit inside the space along with one bartender in the back serving up wine, beer and a signature cocktail of vodka lemonade which went perfect with the summer wedding. While it was a hot day, the Corn Crib had overhead vents and if you stood just right, you were able to enjoy a nice breeze. No plated displays of crudités and such, but some of the hot passed hors d'oeuvres we saw included mini crab cakes and Mac and cheese cups people seemed to be enjoying. Once inside the gorgeous barn which was completely candlelit and had drapery that softened and added romance to the space, we were nice and cool. The shades were drawn at this point to keep the sun out, but were lifted just in time to reveal a beautiful sunset through the large windows. They also at night opened up the barn doors and guest then mingled inside and out. It was really great! The floral arrangements which I believe comes with the wedding package were absolute beautiful and tied together the brides colors and the rustic barn feel so nicely! There was a lovely wooden welcome sign which had the couples name on it as well as a sweet Mr & Mrs sign that sat on the sweetheart table. No details forgotten. The food was really tasty! Everyone at our table agreed. We started with a lighter summer berry salad with feta, rolls and champagne toast. The entree choices were simply beef, vegetarian and chicken. This simple menu usually makes me a little weary but we were all pleasantly surprised. The beef was said to be melt in your mouth good and served with mash and asparagus. The veg platter was a hunk of portobello, topped with a slice of eggplant, peppers, onions and tomatoes. It was over a small bit of potato and had a pesto on the side. Vegans just peel off that cheese and push aside the Onesti if you don't want to be a pain in the a** guest. Each plate was garnished beautifully with a lovely flower. My only small complaint which I'm not sure who decided on it, the bride or the venue, was not to serve the cake and coffee. They were available at tables around the perimeter which some people missed. The same goes for the lovely favors and that's a shame. The party ended with a sparkler send off just outside the barn. It was an awesome ending to an awesome night. Staff was on hand to hand out, light and put out the fire out. All and all, it was a fantastic time in a gorgeous setting! If you're looking here for your wedding, I would absolutely say go for it! While our friends opted for a traditional church ceremony, I hear the farm offers a half a dozen or so gorgeous outdoor settings for your ceremony which all look incredible! Over the weekend I flew to South Central Pennsylvania to perform at a friend's wedding that was held at The Farm at Eagles Ridge in Lancaster, PA. Not sure what to expect of a wedding on a farm outside one of the older inland towns in the United States, I was more than impressed with all aspects thereof. The grounds at The Farm at Eagles Ridge were impeccably well-manicured, but not to the extent that anything looked nor felt pretentious. By the same token, the main house was clean, well-maintained, classy and classic in its décor and styling--warm and inviting. Likewise, the ample 1820s barn perched atop the sprawling, dual-pond property was elegantly rustic, solid, and just modern enough to look and feel 100% authentic. What's more, the attendants were professional and pleasant, the owner's daughters were warm and friendly, and the owner himself even gave my party and I a ride to the upper-level carpark in his golf car at the night's end. The Farm at Eagles Ridge is worth every penny of its competitively-priced rental rates for outdoor weddings and events, and is the perfect choice for anyone desiring a unique combination of refined nature communion and historic ambiance--resulting in the simplicity and charm that is considered typical of the countryside. The Farm at Eagle's Ridge was a wonderful experience from start to finish. When my parents were trying to persuade me to have my wedding in Lancaster (I live in Los Angeles), I told them I would only do it if I could find a venue that was so spectacular and beautiful and perfect that I would have chosen it even if it wasn't in Lancaster. As soon as I found The Farm at Eagle's Ridge I knew it was right - and the venue only exceeded my expectations from then on. From the very first Skype I had with Paige, it was an absolute pleasure. She is kind and professional, and went above and beyond to accommodate us. She made me feel comfortable planning my wedding across the country, and her organization and attention to detail made everything go off without a hitch. The day of the wedding was fantastic for so many reasons - the venue is of course beautiful, but also the facilities were perfect. My photographer even remarked that he saw one of the venue staff clearing leaves from the walkway! I loved having use of the Stone Farm House to get ready with my squad the day of - and it was so convenient that there were so many bathrooms, a kitchen, a room to put my dress on with a full mirror, stations for all of the hair and makeup, etc. It was just so pro!! The flow of the evening was great - we did a "ceremony in the round," cocktail hour was perfect (loved using the trough for the oysters), and the barn was gorgeous. SO many of my friends and family told me what an amazing venue it was - there was a lot of "I can't believe how beautiful Lancaster is" from my Los Angeles friends - and everyone especially loved how the barn doors opened halfway through to show a whole other location complete with ice cream parlor, fire pit, coffee cart, donuts... This venue is stunning. Our guests told us it was one of the most beautiful weddings they've ever attended. The minute we took the tour with Betsy we were sold. We were lucky to even get a date this year, as nearly every weekend was booked out. We ended up booking a Sunday night, and got a nice discount as a result. The ceremony by the pond made for amazing photographs. The farmhouse was ideal for getting ready beforehand. Honestly, I'm trying to find something to critique here and it's nearly impossible. The only thing that slightly frustrated me was that the wedding couldn't be longer. Our ceremony was at 3:30pm and we had to end at 9:30pm. Our guests were having so much fun everyone would gladly have stayed for a couple of hours longer. Betsy was so accommodating with our vision. She let me ride my Vespa down the aisle! And also let us covert the corn crib into a hookah lounge which was such a fun transformation of the space! You will not be disappointed should you choose to get married at the Farm at Eagles Ridge. I would say it is by far the best spot in all of Lancaster county, if not the entire state of Pennsylvania!! read more

When I arrived on-site to this venue for the first time, I don't even think my fiance (now husband) and I were out of the car yet and we knew it was the place we would pick. The grounds were kept VERY well (no weeds, no dead plants, and everything was shaped and trimmed). I worked with Betsy mostly during the planning process. She was so nice and professional. She made me feel comfortable during the planning process. Anytime I emailed her she got back to me in a timely matter which is key in the wedding planning process. We had our ceremony down by the pond and the color on the trees at the end of October were SO pretty. We had our cocktail hour up at the Corn Crib which we loved because they had strung lights on and also a fire pit which was unique. The reception in The Barn was amazing. Everything was SO clean and there was details everywhere throughout. I had people come up to me during our reception asking how I found this place. I was so thankful that this place was available for the dates that we wanted for our wedding. It was more than I could have ever imagined. They even have an old Farm House that they fixed up to be a little modem to have the bridal party get ready in. On the 2nd floor I was able to have the bridesmaids up there getting ready. Once I was able to put my dress on, I went into a "Bride Room" that was stunning. A huge silver mirror, so much natural light, a white chair, and a beautiful rug. The groom and groomsmen were able to stay downstairs and hang out and relax (even watch TV). They also have a full kitchen which we got lunch catered. After we were done eating, the staff came into The Farm house and put everything away from us. It was truly my dream wedding. I was honored to have had my wedding there. Everything was absolutely perfect. If you are looking for a place that is professional, clean, has gorgeous grounds, amazing buildings, you should pick this place.
