It causes disruptions during the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception when people are trying to park where the bridal party is walking for the ceremony, or when people are trying to eat on the patio or play games.

3 days ago We got married at The Mill at Manor Falls one…read moremonth ago! It was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!! The Mill is gorgeous! The first floor was used for our reception. It comfortably fit 17 tables (with room for more), a sweetheart table, a dance floor, and a permanently installed bar. As well as the gift table, cake table, memorial table, DJ booth, and a buffet line for dinner. The room had a beautiful cozy ambiance with lower ceilings and string lights wrapped throughout the room. The second floor and outside on their patio is where we had our cocktail hour, it was very spacious and they had plenty of tables, chairs, and high top tables for our guests to use. We decided to rent a dry bar for the cocktail hour as they only have one bar on the first floor reception area. The second floor also contains a beautiful large bridal suite with a private bathroom, and a much smaller groom's room which worked fine for the men. We had our wedding outside at their permanently installed Pergola. Our florist decorated it with flowers, greenery and tulle, and it looked beautiful! It TOTALLY fit my enchanted wedding theme! We had to bring our own table to use for the sand ceremony which was fine as a family member made a table for us as a gift! We narrowly missed a rain storm but the owners Laura and Don Dombach had clear umbrellas on hand to come to our rescue if need be! There are many beautiful photo opportunities on their grounds too! They do have a waterfall but the path to it was muddy so we missed that photo opp. Since the wedding I have talked to the owner and she said they have laid down stones on the path to the waterfall so future bride's can get to it easier! The owners were around all day helping any way they could! They were SO easy and fun to work with! I highly recommend this venue! We were only the 2nd wedding they've EVER had, and I would have thought they were doing this for years!! The price is a little high but comparable and cheaper than other venues in the area I had looked at. They also worked with us on a price as we were on a budget. I live in Arlington and she lives in Chantilly. My wife and I had planned to go up and stay elsewhere as my daughter had elected to go with a friend and her friend's mother. Unfortunately, she was unable to attend with them because she became very ill, yet still needs to compete. I called around to various hotels, but all that was left at the major chains were King beds into which a rollaway bed wasn't permitted due to fire safety concerns. So, I called The Gables and spoke to Cesar, the owner. I explained to him the situation and asked if we'd be able to stay at the hotel past checkout so that my daughter could sleep as long as possible in hopes that she'd feel better. Not only did he allow us to stay as long as necessary, but he put me in contact with his sister, Jeannette, who would be in charge when I arrived. I explained the situation to her and she was waiting at the hotel when we arrived. Immediately she took my daughter up to our room while I brought in the luggage and completed check in with her. She provided a brief tour of the area and showed me where I could find tea, hot water, and other things to make my daughter more comfortable. She also kindly offered a glass of wine since I'd just completed a three hour drive. As we're checking out today, I inquired how late we could stay and both Cesar and Jeannette said not to worry. Cesar even offered that Jeannette had previously worked in healthcare and to let her know if we needed any medicine. To say that they've been accommodating is an understatement. The team here at The Gables is the best service I've experienced in years and I'm only giving 5 stars because I can't give more. The breakfast was delicious and the hotel itself is phenomenal. Thank you so much to Cesar, Jeannette, and the team here - you all really outdid yourselves. We will certainly return!

The third building consists of a reception hall, with covered balcony and covered courtyard below. It's not a huge venue, but quite cute, and at a recent wedding, perfectly sized for 100 people. The staff there is excellent, with the manager ever present and reliable and ready to get things organized. Catering staff is not on-site as this is just a venue, but they have a list of recommended providers whom they've previously worked with and know the venue. And this list is updated as they go based on vendor performance. They were also great with kids, accommodating as needed, definitely above and beyond. Overall, the wedding we recently attended at this venue was a success, and the venue did a great job of hosting and accommodating.

I found Excelsior by accident, after having nearly put in a deposit for another location. I set up a tour after finding them through my photographer and ended up falling in love. As someone who looked at both very outdoorsy locations and very industrial locations, this was the perfect combination of the two things that I was looking for. Excelsior was the right spot for me from the beginning, as you walk in, the building give the most breathtaking contrast of old vs new, with greenery and plants lining the walls, the terrace, and the sunken gardens. There are lots of options for both indoor and outdoor events, or in our case the combination of both. We opted to be married in front of the large greenery walls, with our cocktail hour in the catacombs and sunken gardens, and then our reception in the Grande Salon. We ended up using the Empire Room upstairs for some of my bridal shots and the street view for pictures. Don't worry, we used it all! I also wanted to mention the beautiful getting ready suite for the bridal party which is very spacious and easily fit us (approximately 10+ people at a time) and the incredibly clean and spacious bathrooms. Beyond the beautiful venue, the staff was genuinely a joy to work with. My primary contact was Kaitlyn who is the Director of Catering for Excelsior. She was so knowledgeable, prepared, and fun to work with. She also gave us lots of ideas and allowed us to customize a lot of things to make it uniquely us. That woman is a miracle worker- she even figured out how to get me things I missed at the cocktail hour (long after it ended) and gave my husband recipes from their kitchen because he LOVED the food so much. When I tell you that every person at our wedding commented how beautiful Excelsior was, how kind and organized the staff was, and how incredible the food was- I mean it. Every single person! I even had quite a few people from the catering and restaurant industry who all said it was marvelous. I couldn't have picked a better place for our wedding. It was truly a masterpiece!
