Not sure if this is a straw too small problem or a boba too big problem, the boba seem normal size but every so often you have to exert major sucking action to get the boba up. Pretty massive fail for a store with "bubble tea" in big letters on their window.

More often than I care to admit to myself as a coffee-fiend, nothing beats a good cup of tea…read more Tea City & Cupcakes is just what I need to relax, read a book, catch up on mail, or break the monotony. The tea selections are fantastic: white, green, black, rooibos, oolong, herbal and with multiple options within each category. A small sign on the wall will give you a listing of what each category is known such as antioxidant, immune system, low caffeine, etc. When you order your tea, the employees take the brewing process seriously. It isn't just hot water poured over a tea bag, but rather a special machine that heats the water to the precise temperature needed for the particular tea and then steeps the leaves for the appropriate time. (No teabags here, only tea leaves.) Tea City also has bubble tea with all the usual varieties and you can have your tea iced, also, if that's your preference. If you stop by early enough in the day, there will be several kinds of cupcakes, also. Because I typically come in at the end of the day, the cupcake pickings are pretty slim, but that's okay. I'm all about the tea, anyway.

The staff member who was working there wasn't the most friendly person ever, not that he was rude or anything, he just didn't go out of his way to say more than "Hi" and give me my bill total. I ordered a Dragon fruit Lemonade with crystal topping -- it was way, way too sweet, especially with the popping crystal candies. The drink was syrupy and thicker than it should have been, and I don't mind a sweet lemonade but this one was too much. My teenager got a Brown Sugar Milk Strike with boba which was pretty good but just slightly oversweet (side note, we loved the small boba pearls, we never see that size and it was fun and tasty!). My son got a Strawberry Slush with Strawberry topping-- it was good but again, the popping strawberry candy made it too sweet even for him, the biggest sugar lover ever. I would not go back to this location unfortunately. Hopefully it was just an off day for the staff working there.

While it's difficult to compare it with similar places on the east and west coasts, T-Boba does a good job. It's crazy busy here at lunch and on weekends, but the service is quick. With milk tea, slush, punch and various boba flavors, T-Boba can satisfy nearly every tastebud. I always seem to go for the Taro at places like this, and I've no complaints about the tea from here.

The owner took our order as he remembers my wife and the fact she has dietary restrictions. "No Gluten" We both ordered pit beef with a side of slaw. I added a smoked spices sausage and my wife got the roast beet salad. The Salad dressing normally has gluten which we were informed of and he whipped up a special vinaigrette for her on the spot with out being prompted. Service phenomenal... Now to the food The smoked spices sausage was good with a snappy casing and mild heat. The pit beef was sliced thin but a good portion which came with homemade yogurt horseradish sauce yum! They make a variety of bbq sauces that I tried three of. First classic which was savory sweet and tangy a great classic sauce. Second espresso which packed a true punch of coffee notes and color. Last was the Carolina sauce which tantalizes my taste buds as I write this review. Mustard based with bright hints of heat and vinegar and a touch of sweetness. Wow I must have more. The coleslaw was my final bite with crisp veggies and a delicious dill cream sauce. Overall this performed great. Go enjoy this hidden gem and get the Carolina sauce if you love mustard.

Ordered the Local breakfast sandwich when it was brought to the table the person dropping it off said, sorry it's a little crispy on the top but the bottom is ok. The top was burned. I said it wasn't ok and I would like a new one. Next one came out messy and the bottom was crispy and hard so asked yet for another one. I sensed that the owner seemed bothered by my request to have yet another one made. The next one came out and was very dry, the croissant seemed stale and it seems that they kept using the same meat and egg. I should have just asked for my money back Honestly a juice and the sandwich was $21 and for what I received, McDonalds would have been a better option. With pricing as high as it is, the service and quality needs to match what is being charged. I don't mind paying higher prices but you must deliver the goods to reflect those prices.
