I love that they have all sorts of activities for different days of the week that they do with the pups and occasionally for an upcharge there's some kind of souvenir to take home as well (I'm a sucker for these souvenirs lol) If I had one complaint it would just be that when they post social media pictures of their daily visits that I can see more pics of Lucy interacting with other dogs. Every time I go they increase the prices! I took my dogs in for grooming today and when I went to pick them up the lady at the front desk was checking me out and she price me at 165 at first, shortly after the groomers comes by and she talk to her and then the lady up charge me 20 dollars saying that the groomer had to do extra work on one of my dogs! This is fucking ridiculous! I have brought in my pet and her hair was worse than that and I haven't got charged. I would definitely not go to this place again.

That's why we expect them to receive level of care and attention that we might receive ourselves if we had to go see a doctor. I'm happy to say that Patterson delivers on those expectations. The nurses and receptionist are friendly and attentive. Dr. Lynch took time to explain in great detail what all of my Boston terrier's lab results meant, rather than just giving me a bottom line. When it came time to pay for the services, I was mindful of how much I as a human appreciate insurance. You do pay for this level of care. The office visit was $54. It cost about $200 for blood and urine tests. 14 pills and 12 cans of special dog food set me back about $80. I'd say my dog was worth the expense, and she is. But, part of the reason I came here was because I thought Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital was too expensive. It seems that if you want quality, you have to pay for it.

Dr. Young is absolutely amazing. We recently lost one of our fur-babies, Charming. We were seeking…read morea comfort care route for him, as he was nearing his final days. She answered all of the questions that we had, while she answered them in truth, she was so compassionate. She didn't treat us like "a job", we could truly see how much she cared. We thought we had enough medicine, and they were closing before we could get there to pick it up, and they actually let us pay over the phone and left it outside in a special hidden place for us to pick up. I called the next day, and asked the receptionist a few questions, and she relayed them to Dr. Young. The receptionist called us back within minutes and ask us to send Dr Young pictures of what we were noticing on Charming. I think she understood that taking him to see her again would have actually caused more strain on him. While we no longer have charming, she said something that stuck with us, "it's okay to say goodbye, even on a good day". We have two more fur-babies, and I plan on taking them to see her annually.
