I was a member here for about 3-4 years. I brought up a question about my membership cost and the staff took it upon themselves to decide I wasn't happy anymore and canceled my membership right then and there. Some of the reviews on here are driven by contests put on by the gym owner. I will admit I was happy at one point also. But who are they to decide if I was happy or not? They have too many members to keep up with. I asked a trainer a question about a muscle soreness and he was going to look into it and get back to me. Never did. Also, they wouldn't let us run outside and told us we had to buy outdoor and indoor shoes to avoid tracking in "stuff" from outside. Really??? It was a blessing in disguise. I signed up for their 14-day boot camp, which basically means you have a membership for 14 days and you can go to their classes as many times as you want during that time period. They have multiple morning and evening classes M-F, one morning class on Saturdays, and none on Sunday. Each class is 30-40 min long, depending on if you stay afterwards for stretching and chatting. I am a pretty fit person already, not overweight, etc. I hadn't worked out in a long time before this so I was mostly using the boot camp to get back into shape really quickly so I could start my normal workouts again. OH MAN...these boot camps are intense! I don't think I've ever worked out so hard in a 30 minute time span in my life. I was sore nearly every day during that two weeks, but it definitely got better as time went on. The trainers are super nice and super motivating. You basically do a different circuit training workout each time. Over my two weeks, I never got bored or felt like the workouts were repetitive. There was something new each time, and we focused on a different area each time. The classes were almost entirely women, but some men made their appearances every now and again. They seem a little disorganized and their website isn't the best, but it's totally worth it! The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly and I saw results very quickly! read more

This is the one and only "gym" that I can honestly say has helped me lose weight, regain my health, regain my confidence and doesn't judge me when I walk through the doors! This review is well overdue but this facility is the best in terms of getting me ready for the cruise back in June. I'm a heavy guy but wanted to lose some weight for the cruise and this place helped me accomplish my goal. JSJ helped set up my meal plan that I followed and christian(Aussie) was mainly my trainer as I did the afternoon sessions. In only a few months, I was able to lose inches and about 15 lbs for my cruise where I had to buy some new clothes. Ever since then, I have been unable to maintain my almost daily regimen but once I get myself back in gear, I should see great results in 2017. You have to give this place a try. John and Cara are great owners and will pop in occasionally to work out or say hi. Also, if you don't make it to FBBC for a week, you'll get a text or instant message wondering if everything is ok. This place is great! I was here for one month and in that one month I lost 5 pounds from going about three times a week. They have a great community with intense workouts that work your full body and they really care about you achieving your goals. If I sizes can get full at times but they set up stations and rotate you through the different exercises. This is a place where you go to get work done and to shed the fat. Very disappointed in the lack of response. I hate that I have to leave a negative review. But having tried calling and emailing them with no response back this is the only other route I can think of. Basically I have moved out of state AND I am done with the time on my contract yet they are still charging me. Please take me off the automatic bill pay. Also, the last month in my contract was suppose to be free with signing up when I did. As for a little advice, if you are comfortable sending 10 spam emails out a month at least have the decency to respond to other emails that were sent with questions and with requests to be removed. Also, I never got my gift bag from doing the little black dress. They decide on a date to do the party and if you can't come they basically don't give you the goodie bag that was promised or the makeup and beauty tutorial class that was promised in the group page that was never scheduled and basically forgotten about. read more

How has Brea FBBC changed my life? Drastically to say the least:) A little back ground on myself before delving into how FBBC has impacted my life and so you can see that living a healthy lifestyle and exercising is possible despite so much going on in your life:) I am a mother of two very active girls ages 20 months and 5 yrs old. I am married to an amazing person who has always been fit and active since the day we met about 9 yrs ago and was one of the MANY reasons I married him because I knew he cared about his health and body. I am a physician who works 50-70 hrs per week and when I am not at work I am busy with life at home. 20 months ago I found myself at 180 lb, size 12, without energy, always tired and depending on my coffee to "get me through" my day. I had two c-sections and my abdomen was like jello and I felt very insecure in my own clothes to say the least. I had always thought I "ate healthy" and lived an "active lifestyle". I tried everything from weight watchers, gyms, built an at home workout room with treadmill and all the equipment you could think of wanting, p90X, jillian michael workout videos, slim in 6 week video, no carbs, low carbs, you name it, I think I tried it LOL. Everything worked for awhile and I would lose maybe 5-10 lbs at most however the process of doing so was SO PAINFUL and unsustainable and within a few weeks/months of starting I would find myself back to square one and unmotivated, probably sounds familiar to many. One day I was on FB and noticed on my feed an advertisement for FBBC here in Brea. I couldn't believe how close the place was to my home. I looked at there website and saw the before and after pics and I just couldn't believe what I was seeing and I figured these photos must be photo shopped and edited. Nevertheless I was hungry to start a program or anything different from what I had tried in the past with the hopes that I would finally see results that would actually LAST and would be SUSTAINABLE. I joined in early August of 2015 and I immediately fell in love with this place. I loved the individual attention I received. I truly felt cared about. I couldn't believe how much help was provided to me in terms of guidance with nutrition and workout form. Trainers JSJ and Christian are awesome and truly care about you as a person. And the owners Cara and John truly have a special blessing and gift at what they do. They put YOU as there client, #1 in there lives. They care about YOU and they motivate you and inspire you to continue striving for YOUR personal best, NO competition here! So where am I at now. Well I have a lost about 30 lbs and went from a total of 196.5 inches (44.5 Hips, 12.25 arm, 25.25 thigh, 36.5 stomach) to 96.25 inches (35 hips, 21 thigh, 9.75 arm, 30.5 stomach) since joining about 9 months ago. Pretty crazy and best of all I feel AMAZING to say the least! My most telling experience has been when I completed the Little Black Dress Project where I truly learned all of the skills and tools needed to be successful at leading a SUSTAINABLE healthy lifestyle. The impacts of this project on my life are astounding and it penetrated through all of my family, everybody benefited in one way or the other towards a healthier lifestyle. I can honestly say I love to workout everyday and I look forward to it and when I can't get to the studio I actually feel "off" for the day so I go home and do my "at home workouts" provided by FBBC to help out on the days I can't make it in, no substitute for coming in, but keeps the consistency going. I met women from all walks of life but with one common goal of becoming a better healthier person. And that is what it is all about at FBBC, we all come from different backgrounds, we are all at different stages with our journey of weight loss and healthy living however we all have a common goal and we all come together once a day for just 30 minutes to get an amazing workout experience but most importantly we come together as a fitness family and lift each other up so we can all be there for one another no matter what and that has been priceless to me. I really felt like I was being pushed to do my best by the trainers and each exercise is tough but not impossible and even when you can't do it... They try to find some alternate way for you to get the same area worked! John is the trainer I work with most of the time and he is so great at making the workout fun and motivating. The thirty minute classes are amazing because it is easy to fit in (so no excuses) but you get your butt whooped!! (In a good way!) I always look forward to a session (at 5am....) and when I think I'm too tired or don't want to go I feel that guilt of not going and end up there anyways!
