My wife and I were referred to SPG by a structural inspector and Matthew came out to take a look at…read moreour basement and detached garage for some repairs. In the basement, the 3 support posts under the main carrying beam needed to be replaced as they were doing very little to support our old house. Also, a steel beam held up by two new posts would need to be installed for joists that definitely was buckling under the weight of walls on the main floor. This required massive work and concrete footers to hold all that weight. Our terrible basement stairs also had to be destroyed and replaced with ones that were sturdy and as close to code as possible. In the garage, there was very little that was keeping the roofing and walls from eventually collapsing. It required anchor bolts to the footer, new sill plates in some places and 3 long sections of beams to support the rafters and keep the walls and roof structurally intact. The entire process went smoothly and Matthew was up front about pricing, timing and any minor problems that came up. The work is top notch and my wife and I are very happy we were able to use one company to handle quite a lot of work. If we ever need major repairs in the future I'll definitely see if it is something Matthew and his team are able to handle before looking anywhere else. Thanks a bunch!
