This year, it was a sunset cruise, which far surpasses a dinner at yet another restaurant. Jill met me at Buzzard's Roost, which was great. I am local, but for folks who aren't, this is a great extra! I got to meet Suzy, their rescue, who was very sweet. Captain Glenn took us from ocean side to bay side to Nest Key for sunset. Close to Nest Key, we encountered at least 25 dolphin feeding. We sat and watched and them when we started to move away, the dolphin wanted to play in the boat's wake. Could not have imagined such a special experience to celebrate a birthday!!! My friends brought refreshments and Lucky Fish supplied reusable cups and also had a tank of water. A plus is their actual head (toilet) aboard. Their cat is a perfect size for 6 passengers. It is well appointed, spotless and very stable. Highest praise for Jill, Glenn and Suzy!

We decided not to let the pandemic spoil our 4th of July celebration and spent the holiday in Key Largo. After seeing the larger dive operations with their packed boats of 30+ people all weekend and the COVID-19 outbreak reaching an all-time high in Florida, we made the smarter decision to do a private dive with Lucky Fish Scuba. Captain Glenn and Jill took my dad, my sister and me to the perfect location for our first ocean dive. We had the best time! We were so happy to have the extra attention and instruction as new divers. It was such a stress-free experience. We were able to book the dive last minute, and all of the necessary equipment was on the boat ready for us when we arrived. The boat was beautiful and clean. The equipment was very new and in top condition. Glenn gave us tips to improve our scuba skills. Jill provided snacks and unlimited reef-friendly sunscreen. We even got a video of the dive to share will the rest of our family! I highly recommend using Lucky Fish Scuba if you plan to dive in Key Largo!

Alana and the Manager Jim have been so accommodating and helpful to me. As a first time RVer, Jim greeted me and helped me set up my whole RV and taught me how to clean out my tanks! He was so patient with how I wanted my RV to face the sunrise as he pulled me into the perfect spot with his forklift! I was so grateful for his help, it was unexpected as I was planning on opening my tutorial videos! Alana, knowing Hurricane Ian wiped out my home and business was thinking of ways to help me start up my paddle boarding business again down in The Keys. She has been so kind and patient with me! My favorite thing about Blue Fin is starting my mornings on the water, watching the sunrise on my paddle board just steps from my front door!

They're always smiling, always eager to help, and always relaxed (but professional)! They will do as much or as little as you wish to have a good dive. They aren't one of the big names in town, but they will make sure you have a great day on the water. One of the biggest benefits of a small operator (10 pax boat) is that they can go to more unique dive sites than the big passenger ships. They also can cater the site more to the level of divers on the ship and adapt as conditions change. They're also a Blue Star operator, meaning they practice the very best, safest, ecologically-sound boating practices​ that keep our amazing coral reefs safe. They are located inside the infamous Key Largo Undersea Park with Jules Undersea Lodge and Marine Lab in it. They share a dock/marina and take their 2 boats out from here. I did some work dive training with them and more recently did a Dive Against Debris certification through them (and free dive!). Both experiences were awesome and I would highly recommend Island Ventures for your Key Largo diving and snorkeling! Their shop shares facilities with Marine Lab, including clean showers and bathrooms to change in. There's also a dunk tank for your gear after and a wheelbarrow to get your gear from parking over to their dock. Come dive with Island Ventures and have the time of your life!

There is seaweed under the water. On the bottom of the ocean. Would be fun to be scuba gear! Sand is soft no water shoes needed. Also an outdoor shower near bathrooms :) if you are staying on islamorada show them your reservation for free access to the park. Otherwise I think it's $8 per adult.

Frankly, I'd disregard all reviews written except for those written in the last calendar year. We stayed here for most of March 2018, all of the updates were coming together beautifully. We rented one of the fabulous cottages. Talk about comfort and style, all at a very reasonable price. Upon arrival we were greeted by a Manatee I kid you not! People were on the dock waving us over to join the excitement of a beautiful visitor, a huge Manatee. This was the start to a very positive, inviting greeting by some lovely renters at this park. Entering the cottage you are wowed by comfort and style. From the front porch to the towels , shampoo and soap in the luxurious bathroom it really doesn't get any better. We had a comfy bedroom with great storage space. Brand new Stainless Steel appliances, Keurig, pull out sofa and HD TV. Everything was there to make for a relaxing long time stay. The view is to die for. The sunsets are a wonderful event and make for a fantastic cocktail hour. The gathering area is comfortable and peaceful. Plenty of outdoor tables and chairs, chaise lounges artfully look over the water on a man made beach, Palm trees sway in the breeze as tranquil white party lights illuminate your evening. We have made a reservation to return for the month of March 2019 that's how impressed and satisfied we were. Is it a large place? No, nothing is really large on the keys. It's a convenient spot. From charter boats, dining, music or just relaxing everything is within a quick drive distance, this place is a fabulous Keys find. Then there's the brand new MOTEL!! Forget all of these old photos those are but a memory now. The entire thing has been refitted with updated everything! If I wanted to stay a few days I'd jump on one of the exquisite new motel rooms, talk about set up! A mini frig, coffee maker, micro wave makes for a great stay. Never mind the brand new beds furniture and lux bathroom... does it really get any better for a motel??? To recap, forget any reviews before 2017, actually before 2018! Fantastic new cottages, brand new motel, nice RV spots with space for your out door set up. Outdoor amenities that just keep going. Great management that really listens and takes care of any problem or request. Yes, I highly recommend this updated Resort. Thank you Milton for making our stay such a lovely one, see you next year.

Efficiency type room. The bed was ultra comfortable, the type that doesn't move at all when you turn. Won't disturb your partner. Great parking, one way road though, so it's funny when you're driving around outside the resort because it's one way inside. OOPS! Better to walk than drive inside the resort. Laundry room. Quality fun friendly guests. Zero complaints. Something on the wall was chirping, asking for a battery maybe, I emailed them, couldn't wait, found a maintenance worker, & she stopped it. Everyone was interesting & friendly. Vicky Bakery across the street was excellent. Beware of the highway, supersonic fast drivers outside of the resort. Turns into white noise at night. The rooms are near the entrance, while the 2story loft tiny houses are near the gulf water. I would love to return during the summer for water sports.
