Our group ranged in age from 13 to 70, and Captain Stewey was amazing with every single person. Before we even got on the boat, he took the time to make sure everyone's gear fit properly and that everyone felt comfortable and prepared. Throughout the trip, he was informative, engaging, and clearly passionate about what he does. The snorkeling spots were absolutely beautiful, the music on the boat was perfect, and Captain Stewey even took family photos for us so we could focus on enjoying the experience. What impressed me most was how attentive he was to everyone's needs. He went above and beyond to help my 70-year-old mother feel comfortable in the water and made sure she was able to safely enjoy seeing Christ of the Abyss. His patience and kindness gave her the confidence to fully enjoy the experience. When we returned later in the week since he knew we had our two teenage boys, Captain Stewey had even thought ahead and brought a football for them to enjoy at the sandbar. It's those little touches that show how much he genuinely cares about his guests. Captain Stewey clearly loves his job, loves Key Largo, and loves sharing it with visitors. Captain Stewy and First Mate Kristine did a fantastic job creating an unique, personalized experience for our group! Upon first arriving we could sense their excitement to make our experience one to remember. They walked us through how to set up our equipment, how to maximize our buoyancy in the water and everything we may see in the water. Then they gave us such a fun ride out to the reef! Once out there, Captain Stewy jumped in the water with us to guide us around the reef and point out the cool sights. Some of our group members were hesitant about snorkeling and they were very accomodating. The snorkeling was fantastic! The excursion ended with a lovely canal ride. This was a great experience. Captain Stewy is very attentive and makes sure everyone is comfortable with the equipment. He noticed I was having some trouble with my goggles and made sure to get me another pair that fit my face better. The boat is very nice and he plays great music on the ride out to the Christ of the Abyss snorkel area. The area itself is magical. The statue was pretty cool but truthfully, the fish and coral were the most amazing part of the adventure. It was like swimming in a giant aquarium. Highly recommend! Such a fun snorkeling trip on Captain Stewy's Charters! We are a family of 4 (kids age 10 and 11) and everyone had a great time! This was our kids' first time snorkeling in open water. Captain Stewy and his first mate, Kristine, are so friendly and have thought of everything to make the trip enjoyable for all ages. His guided tour took us to all the best spots - we saw spotted eagle rays, a blacktip shark and every kind of fish you can imagine! Highly recommend this charter! My family and I had a much better experience than we did last year going on big headboat with a bunch of people we didn't know. Because of covid we wanted to try a private charter with just our family. Soooo glad we did. We had two full hours of Snorkeling with an incredible variety of fish! Great Girls trip to the keys in November. We were looking for a private boat to take the 5 of us to see different island beaches/sandbars and snorkeling. Two of our group had never snorkeled before and needed additional instruction.
