It was a beautiful day in Key Largo on March 28 so we decided to do a boat trip. Parking was easy, short walk to the Princess but I wouldn't recommend trying the walk in a wheelchair nor if you have bad knees or bad back. I am not a doctor but I suffer from pain in both areas and this trip was very rough on me. The stairs to the top deck were awful for me to get up to; same with coming back down the stairs. One of the crew members was very kind to help me down. Other than that, I loved it. I was fortunate to find a seat in the back. The ride out to the Reef was great! We passed the beautiful waterfront homes with their boats on display, the canals, the Tiki huts, the birds flying over us and finally we reached the Reef. Please bring a hat and sunscreen as it gets very hot out on the ocean! You can get drinks on board. Passengers were doing that and milling about. Note: no one was wearing a mask nor was social distancing observed on the boat. We practiced our own safety rules as much as possible. We did not catch covid. We did not see any sea life but we saw the limestone reefs. It was so beautiful out there and we would do this trip again. The crew was great! He did a great job explaining everything so even my 6yo could understand. Not sure why some people complain about the condition of the boat. It's fine. They're clearly people who have no education about boats. The boat has 2 working bathrooms & snacks/drinks for purchase. Nice music playing in the background. It smelt good. Idk what people expect. Good experience. I agree with the other review that said there wasn't much in terms of ocean life. We saw SOME fish+turtles, but the 'star' is the corals, so if you're into that, then do this. They talk very educationally about the corals and the other animals that you may see. Actually, we did see a shark BEFORE even boarding. They require masks downstairs when everyone is looking through the glass, but when you're upstairs on the deck, NO ONE wore their mask. I'm not one of those extremists that's like "all anti-maskers should BURN" but seriously, not a single person was wearing their mask upstairs, very crowded, and even downstairs some jokers were running around maskless. The workers weren't necessarily rude to me, but I got the feeling they were annoyed sorta people. This wasn't a big deal; I'm just pointing it out. Otherwise, it was a very nice experience. We went in the late afternoon & got a beautiful view of the sunset otw back. Also, it's freezing downstairs. Bring a jacket. They also offer medicine if you get motion-sick. Although this was a nice boat ride out 7 miles and back, we didn't see much in terms of ocean life. This isn't the fault of the company or the crew but disappointing. If you are wanting to see a lot of ocean life, you may want to choose snorkeling or scuba diving. With that being said, hubby and I did enjoy ourselves. Be sure to check online for discount tickets. I found a deal on Groupon which saved us quite a bit of money. There is simple concession service on the boat with snacks, beverages, and alcoholic drinks. We had such a beautiful experience on the Princess Glass Bottom Cruise on a gorgeous day. I went with my husband and my toddler. I bought our two adult tickets on Groupon and paid almost half the price and bought my toddler ticket on their website - note that all kids need a ticket ($25 plus tax). The whole check-in process was easy. The cruise boards next to the Holiday Inn. Normally, you have to pick up a printed ticket at the hotel but currently they do it paperless. I read up beforehand that there is not a lot of seating so I looked out for that first thing and snagged seats for us. I was so worried as I tend to get motionsick but felt great throughout the ride. The ride was 2 hours in total. Once the boat stops at the Coral Reef, you get to go downstairs and look through the glass-bottom. I stayed upstairs because I didn't want to get seasick but my husband says they saw a turtle, barracudas and reef. Some tips for your ride: - take hats and apply sunscreen because there is not a lot of shade - check the weather before booking as the boat can get rocky due to wind - if you tend to get seasick, wear sea bands, and take Dramamine. Also, go back upstairs if you get sick from the glass bottom I'm not deducting any stars because we had a beautiful one-of-a-kind experience but some remarks to be considered: - I thought there were too many people for the fact that we are still in a global pandemic. I heard them count 58 guests plus 3 crew members and the boat is not that big - I didn't like that people were allowed to smoke on the boat. Had a good experience overall on their glass bottom boat out to the Molasses Reef. The boat - the upper deck had two benches to sit but mostly standing room. It also had a snack bar with a great variety of food and drink options, including alcoholic beverages. The lower deck was enclosed and had plenty of sitting room along the glass bottom. Once we got to Molasses reef it was very clear water and easy to see reef, tropical fish, and sea turtles too. Experience - this was a very different experience compared to another glass bottom boat I went on in the Key West. Where as that one spent their pre-boarding speech focusing on safety and a setting expectations, this one heavily focused on "the boat will be rocky, you will likely get seasick, we highly recommend you buy our motion sickness medicine from us and take it now!". The ride out to Molasses reef took 45 minutes and although the boat was going fast, it was smooth until we approached the reef, then it got VERY rocky. I was pretty scared and very uncomfortable but seeing the staff look indifferent made me think this was normal. The Molasses reef forecast said 10 knots with 2 ft waves, but from downstairs, looking out of the one side all we could see were the waves. Overall if you don't mind a boat rocking and tipping for 30 minutes, then I'd recommend it for the great views you'll get at the reef. Otherwise if you're someone who would prefer a more comfortable and calm experience, I'd recommend checking the nautical forecast first, or finding another operator. read more

This is a really fun trip to do. Weather you do it in the evening or during the day. There are several trips to take everyday. The boat come with a bar and snacks for purchase. We got some frozen margaritas. The staff was super nice! The day we went the water wasn't super clear but it was still really cool to see all the fish down there. Though I've been to Key Largo numerous times, this was my first time experience a glass bottom boat tour. You pick up your tickets in the Holiday Inn gift shop and make your way to the dock alongside the building to board the boat. In the gift store they give you a heads up on what the weather is like and also have some Dramamine for sale for you. Once you board the boat they go over what the trip will entail and advise you to head up to the top floor for the ride out in order to enjoy the best views. Up here there is a little bar where you can get snacks, soft drinks, and cocktails. They have daily cocktails specials and a happy hour for the evening ride (we did a 10 am ride so I chose not to get a drink but other people did). Luckily at this time there were not too many people on board for our trip which meant plenty of space to grab a great view of the canals and of the open water. Once we got our to the reefs they invite you downstairs to look through the glass bottom as they narrate the experience. Now word of warning here, the day we went the ocean was CHOPPY. 15 Knot winds and 3.5-4 foot waves. This meant that when we were stopped over the reefs it was ROCKING. I have never gotten sea sick before but the experience of being downstairs in that much movement, especially with looking down was too much for me (and I had taken Dramamine over an hour before getting to the reef). Both my friend and I had to make our way upstairs (thankfully snapped a few pics through the bottom first) and was not a happy camper. BUT the staff was fantastic and really did their best to try and help you feel better. They provided us with ice chips to help with the sea sickness and kept checking in and doing their best to lighten the mood. Thankfully we got moving soon and the fresh air/wind and more relaxed movement of the boat let the feeling subside. 5 stars for the great staff, and the trip overall. I definitely recommend checking the weather/ocean conditions beforehand (you can call them) and taking your Dramamine with adequate time prior! Not a great trip for anyone who gets easily motion sick or sea sick though as it is pretty rocky and disorienting over the reef. read more

Terrible service. After paying to go on the boat, we called in advance to see if we were required to wear a mask. They never answered and there was no warning on the website. Then we checked in while not wearing mask, and no one still said anything. Wearing a mask isn't a problem, but with no warning we went on the boat with 4 mask and 5 people. Once we get to the reef (about an hour later) they kick my dad out of the bottom room for not having a mask, and he wasn't able to view the glass bottom boat. I'll never give this shitty company a penny of my money ever again. Not to mention the only fish I saw was the size of my pinky finger. The only person on this boat I respect is the person running the snack bar, who did what she could to try to get my dad to be able to view the glass bottom. read more

I saw those all off the dock at the Marina next to the lunch place up the road.) The reefs they take you over have very little life left on them. The boats themselves seem to be well run and there are good drink specials on the boat but as far as seeing wildlife, it is a disappointing 2 to 3 hours of your life. read more

It's an amazing adventure if you dont get motion sickness. I never get sick normally, but this boat is next level. I would say 90% of the people would get sick. It's a 45 minute ride till reefs and after they slow down for about 30 minutes and you can watch the fish, turtles, and corals. That's when it gets challenging, I was able to stay for about 20 minutes before I gave up and went up stairs. They will make sure to provide you with everything so you can feel better! I made reservations as soon as I knew we would be in the Keys, wanting to make sure we got on that boat. I had taken this cruise about 10 years ago and remembered that I had such a great time that I wanted my grand children to enjoy too. If you don't make plans to hop on board don't worry, you can reserve there and if staying local you get a discount. If making reservations beforehand, make sure to go inside to the gift shop and get the ACTUAL tickets to board the boat. The boat has two levels, the top deck with a tiki hut bar and the bottom deck where the glass bottom is located. On the top deck they serve many types of drinks, from soda, to water, beer, and mixed rum drinks along with some snacks.....but bring cash as the card machine is a bit touchy....and when out to sea, you want to make sure you have something to quench your thirst! The staff on board are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the fish and reefs you are visiting. They encourage questions and try to keep you entertained while searching the bottoms of the ocean. Please note that the boat can be a little rocky....so prepare if you get motion sick....as this is just part of being on the water! Grab a snack and a drink....head up top for your 45 minute ride to the reef, and have some fun in the sun! This is a cruise that you won't want to miss! My friends and I had a great time on this glass bottomed boat tour last week. The guides were so friendly, funny and knowledgeable about the reef and the sea life that inhabits the area. We got to see all sorts of interesting fish, including sharks, but the highlight for me was the turtles! We saw 3 or 4 while the boat was stationary/slow, but on the way back I spotted another 3 including one HUGE one! The ride out and back is beautiful with incredible scenery, and the snack bar is very handy for those wanting something to eat or drink (it's very reasonably priced and they also serve cocktails/beer if you're feeling like an adult beverage). We stopped by the visitors center as we entered the Keys and this tour was suggested to us by the gentleman helping us. It was about a 45 minute ride out to the reef and 45 minuets back and we spent about half an hour looking out the bottom at the fish and coral. The boat had snacks (small pizza, corndog, chips, and soft pretzels) to purchase as well as drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) which was a very pleasant surprise. The man guiding our tour was very knowledgeable and helped engage the group which added to the fun. They didn't overfill the boat, giving everyone a spot to sit and watch the bottom without feeling crowded. We were able to see lobsters, sharks, turtles, sting rays, and lots of fish.
