Regular customer here. I was sent an arrangement that was mediocre and this was not the first time. Usually I live with what I'm sent but this time I called to express my dissatisfaction. I was met with a rude employee who refused to accommodate me in any way. Go to Whole Foods where you have good customer service, or Trader Joe's where the selection is beautiful. Ilene and her team are amazing - they always are very helpful with ideas on what to get for my wife and daughter. They always have an assortment of very fresh flowers (many others seem to have wilted flowers) and also have house plants as well. They're also great for weddings and large events (funerals etc too) - we've used them for years and highly recommend them. read more

Honestly a bit disappointed in the quality of these for 100+, a lot of the flowers were wilted and broken, my husband was disappointed when he saw it this AM but didn't know how to tell her. Quality is reduced from prior trips. read more

My husband discovered this wonderful florist years ago while working in Pleasantville. Shop is nicely appointed and they always give personal service. He loves to surprise me with flowers and filler from there to arrange myself as I enjoy flower arranging. Yesterday he surprised me with an array of fresh, vibrant, varied autumnal colored flowers. They were beautifully presented and wrapped. Tom said they always hand them over as if they are passing a baby. They have great pride and apparent love for their efforts. This florist did the flowers for my wedding which was in June (2015) and they were beautiful. The bridesmaids loved their bouquets and the bridal bouquet was wonderful as well. She even used sashes that we brought to her to wrap around the stems which was an added customization. She worked with us and helped us decide which colors and types of flowers to use. The shop is absolutely beautiful and the employee who helped us was very knowledgeable and quick to help get us what we need. I received an arrangement for our 30th Wedding Anniversary from my husband. The arrangement looked good when it arrived but two days later the roses were wilted and other flowers were starting to die. I changed the water and cut the stems, added cut flower food and hoped that this would revive them. Unfortunately the next day the roses were all but dead and the daisies and other flowers were on their way out. I am sure my husband paid quite a bit for this arrangement and delivery to my office. I am very disappointed that they only lasted two days and I wasn't able to enjoy them longer. I have had flower arrangements from my coworkers etc. that have lasted on average over a week. I would not recommend this florist and I am waiting to hear back from them in response to my email. read more

My wife and I were formally a Westchester County New Yorker, today living in Florida for 20 years with no recollection of a Florist located within the area of the Funeral Home in Thornwood NY, that could fulfill our purchase of a Sympathy wreath required on such short notice of two days and also deliver the next day of our call on Saturday or Sunday latest. Sunday most shops do not deliver that day making Saturday the delivery day an even greater challenge. A unexpected death in the family prompted me to immediately get on the phone and speak with numerous florists, in the area. NOT one could accomplish what the Flower Basket did on short notice. My wife and I spoke with Eileen the owner who was completely understanding of our situation and although her shop had not all of the flowers necessary for several selections we wanted, and since we were speaking to her late on a Friday and her supplier was closed on Saturday making a delivery to her impossible, we relied upon her experience and expertise as well as her creative eye to make and arrange a most beautiful Sympathy wreath. Other Florists we spoke did not even care prompting us to remark to ourselves, how is it we were finding the indifferent or bad, not even a good choice of florist who cared about our dilemma until we found The Flower basket. In particular Eileen the owner who was not only good, but the best of the rest! Eileen after making up the arrangement on Saturday the delivery day, went to the extent to photograph her work of ART and email us a picture to Florida. What a service! Well the flowers were fresh and beautiful and the arrangement was impeccable. To her we are grateful and we want all potential customers to know her shop The Flower Basket, is the only place in Westchester you will want to purchase your flowers from. I ordered flowers for my Mothers 77th Birthday. I was disappointed in their service. First they left the flowers outside of her house - they said they called and rang the bell but no one answered (we have been here all day) the only way I knew they were our front is when i called and they told me they were delivered at noon- it was now 1:46 on a cold winter day. The disappointment continued with the flowers that were white and blue ?!?!? For woman's birthday ? That is what they send ? I will never use this florist again. I wasted $75 read more

This florist is the "preferred florist" for a pleasantville funeral home, and consequently embarrassed my family when sending an arrangement I chose off the website for the funeral home. It arrived looking as if a six year old arranged it. Flowers out of place, missing flowers, holes in the arrangement and no water in the container. When I complained about the sub standard design and high cost I was asked to send a photo of it to the Florist. By that time the flowers were still sitting on the floor beside my loved ones casket for two days and would not be rectified fixed or replaced. Thanks a lot Marilyn. I ordered flowers for a funeral. I requested two arrangements, and didn't indicate a price limitation. I received one very basic arrangement of plants (which in my opinion was average, priced on the high side for what it was). I also ordered a specialty arrangement and the color request I made was not adhered to, nor did anyone call me to let me know that a substitution was made. I called to address with the owner and was advised that it was a busy day and the family took priority (being from the immediate family I was immediately offended by this comment). There was no offer to rectify the situation. In general, the arrangements fell short of expectation and although charged Westchester pricing, the arrangements were lackluster and unimpressive compared to other arrangements at the funeral. If I have a future need, I would try elsewhere first. read more
