When you call the phone number they answer with 'Wilhides Florist Howard County's #1 Florist". This is not a #1 florist! They took mismatched flowers out of their garbage to make this arrangement. The card says 'Please call immediately If you are not 100% satisfied with your floral delivery." When I tell them that, they tell me I must call 1 800 Flowers to seek recourse. So maddening. I am utterly disappointed. The cost of the arrangement does not reflect what was received. I've had better arrangements for half the cost at whole foods. I ordered an arrangement for my mom to arrive Monday at her office for mothers day. First of all, they attempted the delivery at 5:00pm. Which is obviously outside of working hours and of course, her office was closed. I had even called earlier that day to make sure the delivered before their closing time, but nobody picked up the phone. I called this morning, where they apologized and blamed it on a "computer" error. They then said they would be upgrading the arrangement to make up for it. Although at that point I wanted to cancel the order and get a refund, I let it go at that and waited for the delivery. I paid $100 for this arrangement, and they said they would upgrade to make up for the failed delivery (I had ordered the "better" option to begin with). However, they did not even include the colors shown online per their "substitution policy". I am very unhappy with the customer service and the product. I was delivered flowers after 5 when they were supposed to be earlier in the day. Half of them came dead. I called the number on the back of the card and I believe the woman I spoke to was named Naomi. She said that they could send out replacement ones and couldn't refund my fiancé because he ordered them online. Well the replacement ones didn't show up. Very poor customer service Ordered a get well plant for a friend and ask that a balloon be put to it. They sent the wrong flowers with no balloon I called and was told they would send a balloon yesterday. It snowed yesterday so I checked with them today and they decided they would not send the balloon. I already told the person I would have the balloon sent, and now it puts me in a bad position. The person hung up on me because she said she didn't like my attitude. I am the customer, that is no way for them to act especially since they told me they would do it. Atrocious experience with Wilhide's. Ordered a flower delivery for a birthday on Tuesday; it was never delivered. I received an email saying that it had been delivered - the recipient went outside to look and there was nothing there. At 6:08pm on Tuesday I called them and the phone rang and gave the option to leave a voicemail; two emails I sent to the customer support email listed on the website bounced back. Four calls the next day resulted in no refund - in fact, as of now there are TWO charges for this never-delivered bouquet. Today, I ordered from a different florist and a bouquet was hand-delivered the same day. Next time, I'd go with that other florist from the start. Dealing with Wilhide's has been unpleasant at every turn. Especially in these times, dealing with a company that charges you (twice!) for a product it never delivers is not something I want to deal with. read more

I am so very disappointed because Wilhildes has been the community florist for years and the service is now horrible. The flowers that my mother received on Mother's Day, were white not the lavender Field of Tulips that I ordered. When the flowers arrived, they looked as if they were sitting in someone's car for a few days, they clearly were not fresh. When I contacted the store, I was told by a representative that she couldn't help me and that I have to call a 1-800 number to complain. I called the 1-800 number, which was FTD (I placed the order with Wilhides, so I thought). After being on hold for more than 30 minutes, I was told by the representative that she couldn't find my order number, then the call was disconnected. I then called the Wilhides store again but this time I asked for a manager. She said she could have the flowers delivered again on Monday. I asked for a refund, she said she could refund 20%, that was not acceptable. Once I complained even more, she decided to refund 50%. Needless to say, after all of this, I should have received a full refund of $89. I could have picked up a more beautiful bouquet of flowers at my local Giant. I will NEVER place another order with Wilhides, which by the way has terrible reviews but I didn't read them because Wilhildes has been the trusted community florist for decades. Thursday morning I went online and ordered a cookie basket to be delivered to my husband at work. Fromyouflowers website guarantees same day delivery by 5pm for business. It wasn't delivered by 5 so I called and cancelled the order. That evening while we were at my daughter's school play the florist from Wilhide's called 6 times trying to make a delivery to his work that was closed. Monday morning my husband sends me a pic of flowers that they delivered to him with the card that would have made sense if it would have been delivered on Thursday. I called the Customer service # for fromyouflowers and asked why there was any delivery when I had cancelled the order last week. They offered me the typical "Sorry for the inconvenience" line and refused to give me the info of the local florist they used. Of course my husband had the info for Wilhide's since they delivered. So, I called up Wilhide's Florest and wanted to know what the heck happened, why they delivered a cancelled order, and why it was flowers when my orig order was a basket of cookies. The response "We overlooked the cancellation." That was it. I have found many negative reviews for this florist. Wish I would have researched beforehand. Very unprofessional and an obvious lack of communication between florist shops. Would like to have a bucket of manure delivered to them. A recent Mother's Day order was not delivered, the second time this has happened in the last six months. In addition, I received no indication of delivery progress (I signed up for text notifications), and was told it would be two more days until delivery, which I refused and was promptly hung up upon when I requested a refund. I had a very bad experience with Wilhides Florist for Mother's Day. My boss asked me to send flowers and chocolates to his wife and 4 daughters. I ordered online for them to be delivered on Mother's Day (which was an option online). I ordered the flowers for all. Well, things did not go so well. My bosses wife never received her flowers, just the chocolates, which were nothing like what was shown online. The other 4 either got wilted flowers or nothing like what I ordered and one got hers the day after and again, not the flowers I ordered. The 4 that received flowers said most were wilted the next day. So, I proceeded to call them the Monday after Mother's Day and explained the whole thing to one of their people, telling her that I didn't want anymore flowers, I just wanted a refund for all of them. I even sent them pictures. Now, almost 2 weeks later and me calling them 5 times to see when I was going to get my refunds, and them just giving me the run around...THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING!! My $114.00 flower arrangement was placed 4 days in advance and delivered 3 days after the delivery date selected. The woman that answered the phone when I called promised to upgrade the order to include chocolates due to the error and apologized. The recipient received no chocolates! When I called on the 3rd day to ensure the flowers were being delivered the woman that answered told me they were out for delivery and my order had been upgraded because of the delay. I chose the Best selection option for the arrangement ordered. The recipient sent me a picture saying "thank you" and while the flowers were nice they were no where near the best option or picture from the website. I will be posting this review on Facebook, Google Search, Angie's List and Twitter because not only are the products pictured misleading but they have no problem lying to you when they make a mistake and fall short of resolving the issue with an acceptable resolution. Her resolution to the situation was to add chocolates that did not get added. My concern to future customers would be If the flowers were for a showing or a funeral would they be upgraded with chocolates and sent 3 days later? Extremely disappointing and costly experience. This is not an upscale flower service. One call will verify my statement. I will continue to share my experience to ensure others do not make the mistake of relying on Wilhides for special occasions because if my order was for a wedding or funeral I would be driving 7 hrs. My daughter ordered flowers for my birthday. They were delivered on Friday morning. By Tuesday the roses and purple flowers were either dead or dying and the irises never opened and were dried. I called them and they redelivered the arrangement with less roses and no iris. My daughter was also disappointed because neither arrangement were as large in flowers as what was depicted in the picture so she feels she got less than what she paid for. I am very disappointed with the service received at Wilhide's today. After placing an online order, I was advised the order would be ready for pick up by noon. Arriving beyond the advised pick up time, the store rep stated they did not have the requested flower in stock. The rep repeatedly commented in a demeaning and condescending tone "it should be common sense to always call after placing an electronic order to confirm the order". I have placed many electronic orders for flowers and I have never needed to follow-up with a phone call to verify all was well. That suggested practice seems a bit redundant and time consuming. Then again, none of my previous flower orders have been with Wilhide's. Thankfully, we were able to quickly run to Safeway and was able to assist in creating a larger bouquet with the same specific flowers at a lower cost. Additionally, the shop attendant was unable to process a credit as the "person who does that" was out of the office. Processing a credit was postponed until Monday. I hope in the near future Wilhide's will realize the need to update their electronic services allowing them to promptly notify a buyer when an order cannot be processed. Additionally, I hope they quickly recognize the need for all employees left in charge to be trained not only how to take a customers money but also how to refund a customers money. Lastly, given the shop attendant's patronizing attitude, I would suggest 1) a refresher course on how to respectfully and appreciatively speak with customers regardless of their age, race or gender and 2) ascertain employees have a full awareness of how essential good customer service is in order to preserve a thriving business. read more

The last three orders have not gone well. I ordered one large arrangement of red roses, with star gazer lilies. When I arrived to pick it up, it had pink roses. I said they were supposed to be red, and the person behind the counter told me my computer monitor probably needed to be calibrated. I pointed out that the description said they were red roses, and they replaced them. This Thursday, I placed two orders, one for pick up on Friday, and one for delivery on Saturday. Both for Mother's Day. I picked up one order on Saturday, a day late after I notified them. My mother was sick. When I came to pick up that order, it was a bowl of daisies, not the Wondrous Nature Best level I had ordered. So they rebuilt it over the next forty minutes while I waited. The Saturday delivery (red roses and star gazers best level) never arrived. I called Sunday, Mother's Day, and they said they didn't build it Saturday because they didn't have the right flowers. They didn't call or give me an update or anything. It was noon Sunday, and they said they would deliver it in the next couple of hours. At about 8:40, after the kids had left, and my wife was going up to bed, someone shows up at the door with a bowl of pink and yellow something or other, that looked as small as a wrist corsage. I refused delivery since it clearly not what I had ordered. Tomorrow, Monday, I will see if I can get my money back for the more expensive second order that I never got. So I emailed Wilhide's with a photo of the corsage, to ask them if they could do that for me. When I didn't get a response to my email, I phoned. Robin explained that their email had been down, and asked me to resend my email to her personal email address, which I did. She came back to me and said that they would be happy to do what I wanted. On the day of the anniversary, Mom's corsage (with a matching boutonniere for Dad) were delivered as promised and were lovely. Normally, I enjoy supporting local businesses especially ones near where I grew up. Most likely I went to school with someone who works there or have some kind of connection to them. For my mom's birthday, we ordered an arrangement from Wilhide's Unique Flowers and gifts almost a week ahead of time. We gave specific directions of what we wanted to make sure that the arrangement matched something in my mom's house. We were assured that this was fine and was given a price. The day before it was scheduled to be delivered, we received a call from Wilhide's that they would not be able to fulfill our order because some of the desired flowers were not in season. There was no reason for them to wait until the last minute to let us know. The person on the phone did not explain very well why this had happened and when my wife was transferred to a manager, the manager said that the person taking the order messed up then said my wife must not have specified correctly what we wanted. Then the manager proceeded to talk about the internal issues inside of Wilhide. We did not care at all about what was happening inside their business we just wanted the bouquet done. They were extremely unhelpful and did not even offer to make it up to us/offer a discount/ a way to solve the issue. This lack of concern for a customer forced us to go elsewhere. When I talked to the owner'manager on the phone, she was more helpful but by this point, the ship had sailed. I would never suggest anyone use a place that cancels the day before and has such abysmal customer service. I would give them 0 stars if I could. Thankfully we called Raimondi's in Randallstown who saved the day. They were able to get the flowers Wilhide's was not able to get and put together a beautiful arrangement on a rush. The even better part is Raimondi's was less expensive than Wilhide's. We are thankful that Raimondi's stepped up to help us. NEVER AGAIN will I buy flowers from Wilhide's! On 1/21/14 I ordered flowers for my fiancé which were supposed to be delivered on Valentine's Day. On 2/14/14, we had a relaxing day at home while I waited for the surprise flowers to arrive. By 6 pm, the flowers still weren't here yet, so I made a call to Wilhide's. An employee told me there were 6 delivery trucks out, and they were delayed a day because of a snow storm. We had plans to leave for dinner soon, but I requested the delivery driver just leave the flowers on the porch if there was no answer. My fiancé and I went to dinner, and returned around 11. I couldn't wait for her reaction as we walked toward our house, only to find that there were no flowers out front. I had the pleasure of telling my fiancé on Valentine's day that she was supposed to get flowers, but they never showed. On 2/15/14, I received an email which said that the flowers had been delivered at 1:30 pm on Valentine's Day. This was impossible since we spent the day at home and can see the front walkway from our living room. No one delivered anything, but now we had an email with false information. The following Monday, I called to complain. An employee apologized and told me that they would deliver them the next day for 25% off. I asked for a full refund and for the flowers to still be delivered. She told me they couldn't do that, and since I still wanted my fiancé to have flowers I agree to the discount. I was told the flowers would be delivered the next day, on Tuesday. Imagine that...the flowers NEVER SHOWED! The following day, I showed up in person to complain to a manager. I told her the whole story, and she apologized several times. She gave me a bouquet of flowers (not the same ones I ordered) from the store at no charge and told me she would give me a full refund. Here we are halfway through March, and I have YET to receive a refund!!!! I have called several times and I am told to "give it a few days" for the refund to be processed. I ordered online on Wilhide's website for them to deliver. They must contract out because I received a confirmation email from Rutland Beard Florists. I purposely did not order from Rutland due to negative reviews about that business. My flowers were delivered to the wrong address and sat in the sun on someone else's front porch for 7 hours before I found them. I even put delivery instructions in the order. For $94.00 I expect better! Follow up: So Rutland Beard did contact me and apologized for the delivery problems. They actually sent a second order with a box of chocolate. Wilhides Florist made a perfectly exquisite and beautiful wrist corsage for my son's wedding. Their flower suggestion of blush roses went perfectly with my dress. It was exactly what I was hoping for in my corsage. I was very happy and pleased with their service and work and price. I had previously had Wilhides do the flower arrangements for my mother's funeral and was very pleased with the arrangements which were unique and beautiful. Here's a summary: We gave them a week's advance notice to design a special bouquet for an ailing family member. We were also incredibly specific. Can you get this flower? Yes, they confirmed. Can you get that flower? Yes, they confirmed. Can you put me on hold and make 100% sure? The clerk did, came back, verified everything. Can you verbally tell me again that you're absolutely positive, because this is the recipient's favorite arrangement? Absolutely, they said. The clerk even typed specific notes into the system, as she read them aloud to me. So far, so good. Now, flash forward to the AFTERNOON BEFORE DELIVERY. I get a surprise phone call. Hi there, guess what?? Our designer just looked at your order FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME, and we can't get the flower. Oh, but wait -- the fun continues. At my request they transfer me to "the manager," who breaks every fundamental rule of customer service within the first five minutes. She starts making a bunch of excuses. She gives me a detailed description of their internal company procedures. She puts the blame on the order-taker. She tells me nobody else in the area will be able to fulfill this order. She won't let me get a word in edgewise. She even tells me our instructions must have been unclear. Listen lady, after a week's running start you just dropped your customer right on the floor, and gave said customer about four business hours to frantically figure something out. NO sincere-sounding apology of any kind. NO offer to make things even semi-right. Long story short, steer WAY clear of this place at all costs. If there was an option for "negative three stars," I would have chosen that. (Happy ending: We wound up calling Raimondi's right across town, who -- with practically zero notice -- produced the exact arrangement we'd requested, and delivered it the very next day to our extremely thrilled recipient. I contacted Wilhide's to do my wedding flowers at the recommendation of my now mother-in-law (MIL). She has used Wilhide's on ocassion for 20 years. The entire process was disappointing. We had a difficult time getting a consult appt. We spoke with Ashley, who told us that Mother's Day is busy (understandable), and that she'd call Monday to let us know if we could be squeezed in the following week. My MIL called on Tuesday when Ashley didn't call and she saw us that Thursday. At our consult Ashley said she'd have our quote to us by next Tuesday. Tuesday came and went without the quote. I emailed Ashley Tuesday evening, and she apologized about 'something unexpected coming up' and sent me a quote on Wednesday. The quote had an extra boutteniere and bouquet. Not a big deal, but I never heard from Ashley or Wilhide's again to follow-up and see if we had questions. Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere to someone who wanted it. I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN! The absolute worst experience with a floral shop EVER. My wife ordered our daughter's prom date a boutonniere and received an email confirmation. On May 2nd, my wife and daughter picked up the boutonniere and headed home. Upon getting home, they discovered it was a corsage. My wife called the store to explain the problem. They couldn't make it by the time my wife would get back and we agreed to have me pick it up later that day. When my wife brought the corsage back, the woman behind the counter chastised my wife and asked her who would pay almost $40 for a boutonniere? My wife hasn't had to buy a boutonniere since she was in high school and didn't think $40 was unreasonable. The manager on duty apologized and agreed to credit our card for our inconvenience. I went to pick up the boutonniere later and again someone in the store implied that my wife (with a Masters degree in education, no less) wasn't that smart if she thought a boutonniere should cost $40. Four or five days later, they still had not issued our card a credit. My wife called, had to explain the situation again and was assured it would be taken care of.. Still no credit after 2 days so my wife called again. Again, they promised to take care of it. On Monday May 11th, I was assigned the task to get our $ back and called and talked to Robin who apologized and promised (yep, you guessed it) to take care of it. Today May 14th, I drove back to the store and asked where our credit was, the "manager" checked her computer and indicated there were no notes on our order to credit anything. I demanded cash back since they were obviously incompetent. The "manager" called her boss and said they couldn't do that. I demanded to speak with her boss and was told "he doesn't want to talk to you". I raised my voice and was very loud. They threatened to call the cops and I told them all i wanted was my money back. Worst service ever. Ordered on a Tuesday for delivery on Friday AM. Got a call on 11am Friday that they didn't have vase...so already late. They committed to deliver by 4pm, which they didn't. read more
