I can't rave enough about The Flower Garage. The space is vibrant, colorful, welcoming, beautiful and truly boosts serotonin as soon as you walk in. I highly recommend The Flower Garage for their workshops, they offer so many different options that make for a great girls night out or something fun to do solo - and you'll leave with a gorgeous arrangement you made yourself. Dani and her team are flower whisperers, so friendly, warm, and welcoming. PSA: The Flower Garage also rents their space as a venue! I feel like this would be such a good place for a bridal party, a baby shower, or retirement party or a birthday. My mom and I loved our class with Dani! It was fun, informative, and we both would love to do another class! We learned a lot about placement, arranging, types of flowers, how to handle/enhance them, cutting, watering and other various arrangement methods. The shop is adorable! The classes sell out fast! I got two tickets to a pumpkin/succulent workshop for my birthday, a $300 value, but my friend and I tested positive for COVID the day before the class. Instead of offering a refund or credit toward a future class, the options the Flower Garage gave us were to (A) pick up the supplies and do it by ourselves at home or (B) PAY an extra $25 per pumpkin to have them made for us. Neither of these are an equivalent experience or value to what was paid for. I understand the supplies were already prepped, but for the price the Flower Garage charges, I was surprised by Dani's unwillingness to offer more flexible alternatives like a partial refund. Businesses should be prepared to write off occasional costs, especially when illness is involved, rather than forcing poor choices onto customers. The supplies were worth maybe $50 at best. I ended up attending alone, planning to pick out a pumpkin for my friend who couldn't come due to lack of childcare for her son who was also sick. I had trouble finding the venue when I arrived due to lack of signage. By the time I got there I ended up getting last choice of pumpkins (they were nice pumpkins but choosing is part of the fun) and I just took everything home because I was sick and didn't feel like being there at that point. I cannot recommend the Flower Garage due to the rigid policies and lack of understanding for unique circumstances. Honestly the class didn't seem like it was worth $150 either, although I didn't get the full experience and the teacher -- Joy, not Dani -- seemed nice. The pumpkin looks cute so that's why I did two stars but I doubt it'll survive long since it's just succulent cuttings glued onto dry moss... I won't be signing up for any more classes here. read more

Dani is an amazing teacher! I have taken many Floral Design classes over the years and I am so impressed with Dani. As an instructor she is patient, calm, does not rush you and has this quiet way about her. Her flowers are always so beautiful and she knows so much about floral design, the flowers and always gives us extra tips on how to make the arrangement last longer. She has such an "eye" with the types of flowers, colors and containers she chooses for us. The classes are really so reasonable for what she actually gives you, her flowers are always the best and freshest and she never skimps on anything. I love the way she designs all her arrangements, she has a unique style that is all her own and I happen to love how she does not follow the typical classic designing, she is just different than the rest in the best possible way. Her design studio is tucked away and is so beautiful. It is an oasis in the desert! It is large, very girly and just a delight to be there!
