I received a fresh and incredibly lush arrangement from here for our second wedding anniversary last week! My husband called many local florists and The Flower Shop was able to accommodate him quickly and reasonably! They did an amazing job and were able to deliver it right on time, even after what I would imagine was a very busy Mothers Day rush. These flowers were absolutely stunning. I live on the opposite coast from my family. It's always hard around the holidays because I wish I could be there in person. Something like a beautiful flower arrangement helps me feel like my loved ones know I am thinking of them. Not only were the flowers beautiful, the service was outstanding. The earliest possible delivery date was the Tuesday following Mother's Day. I left a little note in my order saying that I would appreciate it if there was any way my order could be delivered on Mother's Day -- but told them I knew it was a long shot. I was delighted when my aunt texted me a photo of her beautiful arrangement on Sunday. I know it must have been a challenge to add another order to their already packed schedule on one of their busiest days -- especially in a pandemic. It was really kind. What an amazing florist! The owners are incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The selection of flowers really impressed me- they have beautiful roses and other traditional flowers and also a wide variety of gorgeous and interesting, less common blooms. I ordered flowers from another location and they could not have been farther then what I asked for. LAST MINUTE I went here and they saved the day. Less then 24 hours notice. Best service in town and the prices are more then fair. I will never go to another florist now, I couldn't be more thrilled how they really came through for us like it was no big deal. I have never once written a review on Yelp for any type of business, so it says a lot if I am on here doing this. I'm not really sure where to begin with TheFlowerShopNJ except for saying that this business and the people who own it are exceptional. My husband and I decided to get married in north jersey, but we live close to Philadelphia. We knew no one in the area, and we were on the hunt for a florist who was near our venue in Scotch Plains. After contacting many businesses and receiving astronomical quotes for our wedding flowers, I was feeling really defeated. I happened to find the website for this business, and as a last ditch effort before resorting to contacting a Whole Foods or Shoprite in the area, reached out to Barbara and Lisa (the owners) via email. I explained exactly the type of look that I was going for and asked if they could help me achieve that and within a couple of hours, I had found my flower vendor and felt so good about it. My husband and I met them a few months later to talk about the details, and upon arriving, I fell in love with not only the shop itself but the two owners. The shop is beautiful and unique. The flowers that they have are so different than traditional flower shops and the decor is vintage. The shop makes you feel like you are at home and is so welcoming. In talking with Barbara and Lisa, they seemed so happy and excited to be taking on our wedding, and they treated us like family rather than customers. They are honest, caring, and so generous. My husband and I left there feeling like we had made new friends, and we felt so confident that we had made the right decision in finding them as our florist. While I did not get to see them on our wedding day setting everything up, I must say that they did the most beautiful job. They were our favorite vendor by far. Everything that we had envisioned came to life, and it was all their doing. I wanted a very greenery look, from the tables to the bouquets and corsages/boutonnières. They definitely accomplished this look and helped to ensure that our other decor was set up perfectly. They are essentially the reason why our wedding was as great as it was. They helped keep me stress free by ensuring me that everything would look beautiful, and it did. I would highly recommend them a thousand times over. I advise you to skip other florists in the area and go straight to them. They will forever be our friends because that's how we were treated by them from the moment we met them. I ordered flowers to be delivered for my sister in law for her birthday. I saw a beautiful arrangement online with white and green flowers for $75 which I thought would be great. With tax and delivery it was over $90. When the arrangement was delivered, it looked nothing like the photo and also looked like it could have in no way cost $90. There was one huge hydrangea flower which if you buy from Trader Joes costs $5. Then there was a white daisy which to me looks tacky and also does not cost much. What was worse than the disappointment in the arrangement, was the customer service I received when I called to say that I was disappointed. I couldn't even get out the words to say that I have always been satisfied before, and this time was disappointed. The woman I spoke to immediately went on the defense saying that in fact this arrangement should have cost even more and that the flower markets they usually use were closed, and that I should be more than happy with the arrangement. I could barely get a word in and the only thing that was offered was to pick up the arrangement from the recipient and replace it. With the amount of florists in this area to use, I will sadly say I won't be returning here. A lack of quality and look of one arrangement won't steer me away, but a lack of customer service most certainly will. Really disappointed. read more
