I have ordered flowers from them before and have not had any complaints. I just had flowers delivered to my mother's office for mother's day and she sent me a picture. Of course she said thank you. But when I looked at the photo she sent me, the flower arrangement and flowers looked terrible. They look nothing like the image posted online. I paid a total of $71 including the delivery fee and tax and I feel like I have been robbed. The flowers my mom received look terrible and I am a bit embarassed. Good thing she doesn't know what the actual arrangement should look like.. Also, the photo online showed 9 roses. My mom told me the flowers she received only has 4. **UPDATE** they delivered another vase and took back the old one.. The taller vase is the first one sent. The smaller vase is the newer one sent. Still ugly. I don't see a difference and they still do not look like the photo online. read more

I contacted Lou (owner of The Flowerman) a month before my wedding in Pasadena in a panic because I hadn't yet hired a florist. So many local florists had absurd minimum order prices and I was getting really worried I wouldn't be able to find a florist who could work with my budget for my small wedding. The Flowerman came to the rescue! I was so grateful he was willing to take on such a "rush" job. I hadn't originally thought of contacting them because I didn't even know that they did wedding flowers. I had bought flower arrangements from them in the past for Mother's Day and was always impressed by their quality to cost ratio. So I was pleasantly surprised that they do weddings! Lou was kind and patient throughout the consultation process (made harder because I was remote and doing the wedding planning from the Bay Area for much of the time). In order to get the prices that I wanted, he told me I would have to provide the flower vessels-- which wasn't a big deal and in fact allowed me to save a lot of money by buying plastic vases online. Even though I didn't really have a clear picture of what I wanted in my head, they were willing to work with the sparse details I gave them. The flowers were beautiful, amazing and fresh on the day of the wedding. They did a great job with my small wedding-- it is a rather small shop so I can't comment on their ability to do large scale events, but they did wonderfully for my relatively small floral needs (~15 table centerpieces, 1 "grand" centerpiece, 1 huge table garland, 8 mini arrangements, no bridal party/bouquet). I called and spoke with Cynthia and told her why I was getting the flowers and she was so incredibly sweet and empathetic about it. I wanted to send my boyfriend flowers for our anniversary and checked out The Flowerman's website. I first checked if delivery was available for a different city and it was, great! Picked my arrangement and completed my purchase. I never had the option to pick a time before or after receiving the confirmation email. I called the shop to get more info and they had no clue either. They apparently send your order to a shop in or close to the city you picked. Again, never stated that anywhere while making my purchase. Even after calling, they never stated the name of this third party shop. The flowers were just delivered and they are NOTHING to what I purchased. It's a very feminine arrangement and nothing close to what I picked out. I've attached two pics. This is the third and final time I will try The Flowerman. Over the course of two years I've now ordered 4 arrangements. Each arrangement has been fairly expense 75-150. Each time our order is incorrect. I have gone in person to assure it's clear and always talked and reviewed the order with the same person. Our latest order issue: Ordered get well flowers "spring and cheerful". Wrote a handmade card. They were delivered the same day but no card. The family we delivered to indicated they were bright and cheery but older flowers. So they didn't last long. The second arrangement we ordered on the same day and picked up on a Saturday. It was for a 50th Wedding Anniversary. We asked for white premium flowers for the center of a dinner table. Attached picture is what they produced. While the arrangement was pretty it was not what my Mother In Law wanted, & not what we ordered. I was with my mother when I ordered both arrangement and she worked in a florist dept for 7 years. She indicated that we were clear in providing examples and the term white roses should not be confusing to a professional florist. And the hand written card for the first arrangement was in the 50th Anniversary arrangement. They rang up the orders separately so I'm not sure why that got confused. read more

I decided to buy flowers from here for Mother's Day since I have seen their flowers be delivered to our office. When I received the flowers, they weren't fresh and were already wilting. I called them the next day about the flowers and told me due to the heat and lots of orders, that was why my flowers weren't fresh. They asked me to call back on Monday to see if they flowers would be better. I called back on Monday bc I was still dissatisfied with the flowers and they were very nice in having my flowers be replaced. I needed to order some get well flowers for a manager that was in the hospital. I went online & found this flower shop with the pic of great arrangement I felt would be really nice to send. I ordered it in good faith & the next day received a pic of the arrangement that was sent & it looked nothing like the one pictured. I emailed the shop & was told that they could send someone back to add to the original arrangement but that would have inconvenienced my manager & his family as he was recovering from a major surgery. I wanted to order an arrangement for my mom's last day before retiring from her job as a NICU nurse at Huntington Hospital after almost 45 years, and the Flowerman looked like a great local option.
