We've been hearing about this one from friends for a hot minute and we finally got a chance to check in for ourselves. The hype. is. real! Loved the decor with he pro wrestling theme. They lean into it with the item names and what's on the TV. I would recommend this for an awesome meal with family and/or friends. It's a small dining area, so plan accordingly. We were lucky to slip in ahead of the lunch rush. The one tiny, minuscule ding is that they really didn't explain how we get our food and they got our name off of the credit card to call it out and bring it to us. Better customer experience to ask for a name and explain it will be brought out. See? Less than a cruiser-weight issue. I personally would get the Dragon every day except for the fact that they have so many other tantalizing choices we'll have to come back and try. We started with Vader Tots with the cherry-smoked ketchup and that was confirmation that we were in the right place. The sides we got (slaw and street corn salad) proved how well these folks understand flavor profiles. The Patterson burger was a cool experience with cornbread as the bun. I'd gladly have it again, but it's not an epic favorite. But like I said, The Dragon? As a burger, it barely needed the three-count for the win. We ordered 4 of the Real American burgers and 2 orders of the cheese curds and 2 orders of fries. Everything was PERFECT. I've had the hot dogs before but the burgers are the best! A winner for M'town! Our party enjoyed the Real American, a Jerry the King and the Bristo. My 19 year old said the Jerry is definitely in his top 3 best if not the leader...and he's had burgers from so very many places. The cheese curds were awesome and fries were good too! Unique and delicious! Pick your toppings and put them on a hot dog, grilled cheese, fries, or burger. We had Tombstone and Texas Rattlesnake on a burger, and they were both delicious. They serve beer, wine, or soda to drink. We aren't wrestling fans, but the WWE theme was fun. You order at the counter, and they bring it to your table. Staff was great too. I'm always excited to try the winner of the best burger of Iowa. The flying elbow was packed with a hour wait time. I decided to go with the Tombstone burger and fries. It looked good when it arrived, the fries were my first bite and really good. The burger on the other hand was cooked like Culvers with thin burned to a crisp patty. It was like chewing gravel with your burger,, the center wasn't as bad as the edges but the beef had no flavor. I wondered if the quality had suffered as the number of people increased exponentially.. I have to wonder what the burger was like that won the best in Iowa because this wouldn't beat Culvers and was 3 times the price.
