In the GA areas, both sides of the armory are lined with bartenders so the wait isn't that long for getting a drink. There is concession-style food available. Good variety of beer, seltzers, wine, and a full bar available. Show-specific merch is available for purchase at the back of the venue on the main floor. There are ATMs available.

It was like sorting through a landmine trying to find a seat that had decent views in our price point and getting an aisle spot to the legroom didn't affect us as much. The security line at the front door can be a bit challenging on a cold winter day, but there are additional entrances through the skyway and side entrance. Mill City Nights isn't going to be the fanciest, nicest venue you've ever been to for a show. It also isn't going to be all historic like First Avenue. But it is a totally fine place to hang out in the dark and listen to some music. I did really dig the hard wood floor, which was worn in the best possible way. Fun for stomping around as you were dancing. We found the security procedure at the front door to be fine -- Carded us, patted us down not very thoroughly, took a peek into my purse and that was about it. The ticket buying procedure could have been better. Seemed to take a long time. But once we were in the door, no issues. I found the bar staff to be friendly and competent. Security seemed a little intense at times (like, who's going to jump the stage during the set break really?) But whatever. I didn't have to go to the restroom, so can't comment there. Since we were downstairs, I also can't comment on the balcony situation, except to say that whoever spilled a beer on my head sucks. Is it my favorite venue in the Twin Cities? No way. The one good thing was there were multiple, easily accessible bars and clean bathrooms downstairs.

I also found it odd that all the people who were seated and ready received their food last and the other folks who ordered ahead of time but weren't present for their food brought out. The food basically sat on the table for an hour with napkins over it. I'd rate the food about a 4/10. The steaks were made to order and the fish, but I'd recommend working more on their timing so the food comes out hot and fresh. They gave my dad a good waffle from someone else's order that had been sitting on the table for an hour. It was rock solid and cold. The drinks are expensive and not worth the price to me. I think this is a good place to check out if you want to hear some good music and maybe have a mimosa. They offered me one of their one-dollar-cheaper dogs, which was fine, except that they didn't even reimburse me for the extra dollar I paid. I reckon I should have said something, but that's not the point. Little mistake but the guys behind the bar were still very friendly and I like this place. I'll return for sure.
