Outtakes is located next to the New Hope Cinema Grill. Upon arrival you will first notice a fairly decent sized outdoor patio space with views of a relatively run down shopping center. Inside there is a stage where live music and comedy are performed, a small arcade area, and pool table. The space is open and pretty large with dining on one side and a huge rectangular bar on the other. Decor is cinema themed with a industrial feel. I stopped in on a Monday afternoon with just a few of the regulars at the bar. More and more regulars poured in during my time there. Service was just okay. Attentive enough but not very engaging, which is fine. Was definitely more focused on the regulars. I ordered a PB&J burger. Nice sized patty, a little overly cooked. Bun was somewhat stale. Overall the experience was pretty meh. Wasn't the most impressive but would likely give it another go.

Great prices and Jalapeño poppers are my new favorite! Saturdays are all about the live music. Staff is always friendly.

I came here with two of my friends, and we all had delicious meals that were presented beautifully. Our bartender Maria was very friendly and accommodating to my friend's allergy requirements. We will definitely be coming back here again. Also, they have TouchTunes and the music was

Friendly server did a really good job (by himself) for our group of about 20 people, waffle fries were great and crrrispy! the buffalo un-chicken sandwich was pretty good as well, bloody mary was decent. I wish they had more plant-based options, but it was nice that I was able to sub the un-chicken on the buffalo chicken sandwich! Went for brunch on a Sunday, plenty of seating and we were able to make a reservation. Typical dark, bar atmosphere. Looks like there's a nice stage for bands on the weekends... we'll be back!

    A rare Surly Darkness sighting!!

I kinda wanted to give this place 3 stars, but the availability of Surly Darkness on tap and the cook on the traditional wings brought it over the edge! If you can take this place for what it is, it's not bad. As others have said, don't expect a 5-star speak easy upper class atmosphere. This bar has dive written all over. Not a dump in the slightest, although the bathrooms could be upgraded. The water pressure in the sink is very poor. You will find an older crowd here, with old time classic rock grooves. The patrons seem to enjoy singing to the music. Lots of regs. Happy people. I would be curious to see what it's like with a band here. It's worth a visit!

Went here for lunch. Wasn't very busy but even so, seemed to take a while to get our food. The food was good and the menu had a nice variety. We had the pulled pork grilled cheese (excellent!) and the western burger. Their french fries were very good. Nice atmosphere and felt the drinknd food prices were reasonable.

Their patio is SO cute with lots of plants, a great atmosphere, and the perfect vibe. The service was also excellent--our waitress was super attentive, checked in often, and gave us some great recommendations. We both ordered vanilla iced lattes, which were good but a little too milky for my taste. For lunch, I got the Thai Peanut Salad, and it was exactly what I was looking for--fresh, flavorful, and light. My only complaint is that I wish it had a bit more protein to help balance out all the veggies and make it a little more filling. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and will definitely be back to try their breakfast and dinner menus. The cute patio alone is worth a visit!

My forever favorite app to start the meal is the Pull-Apart bread, it is the BEST! It is so warm and soft. This was my first time going here for lunch rather than dinner and I tried the 1/2 Avocado BLT Combo with the Caesar salad. The Caesar was a little dry, I do wish it had a bit more dressing. Same with the BLT sandwich, it was a little bland. The sandwich itself was very thick and kind of hard to bite into. Overall, still a good lunch and would go back again to try something else! I'm also intrigued by the brunch menu, which I found out they offer their full brunch on Sundays.

The place was already busy right when they opened at 11, which is usually a good sign--and it definitely felt like a well-liked local spot. The atmosphere is very classic bar and grill with lots of seating, TVs, and a comfortable, casual feel. I ordered the chicken parmesan and French Onion Soup, and both were really good. The French Onion Soup had a rich, well-developed flavor, and the cheese on top had a slight sharp "funk" to it that actually worked really well. It added a little extra depth instead of just being heavy. The Chicken Parmesan tasted fresh and satisfying, with a good balance of sauce and breading. It had that comforting, homemade Italian-style feel rather than something overly processed. Overall, I would come back. It's not fancy, but it's a solid, reliable stop with good portions and flavors--especially if you're in the area or heading to a movie nearby.

Frankly, I'm shocked that this is my first review of Sunshine Factory because I've been here…read moreliterally dozens of times over the last 20 plus years, and that doesn't even include when they used to be in New Hope. I have always thought very highly of Sunshine Factory; it's packed every night, so do a lot of other people. (If you don't have a reservation and you come in after 4:45 pm on evening, be prepared for a wait.) The food had always been consistently excellent, and the service always had been (and is) fantastic. They must do a great job of finding and training wait staff because the are always friendly and efficient, and fill your drinks when they are even half full. Unfortunately, they have really shortened their menu offerings and I feel quality has slipped. It's true that this location seemed to be more casual than the old location, but the menu was comparable up until late in 2025, when they revamped and shortened the menu considerably. It now seems more bar-food oriented and more like Applebees or Chili's than what it used to be. I feel like Sunshine Factory has switched its business model from high-end diner to middle of the road food, because of a lack of choices and food quality that suffers in comparison to even a year ago. For example, I ordered the special that night, which was meatloaf. The plate came with corn and pieces of red bell pepper, a couple of slabs of meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy. The taste of the meatloaf was meh because it was overcooked and dry. The corn looked great, but had the taste of canned corn (not even frozen corn). The mashed potatoes and gravy were excellent; I just wish the other items on the plate were as good. (I've noticed this decline over my last few visits and no longer feel this is a one-off situation). I have no idea, but I feel that Sunshine Factory has consciously decided to downgrade its selection (the menu is probably a third of the old offerings) and quality, although service remains high. Although it is consistently crowded with returning guests, they run the risk of other people coming to the same conclusion, which will eventually erode the success they have had for decades. I know that the restaurant business is competitive and difficult, but you can't ride on your prior success long-term. I would love nothing more than to see them return to the variety and quality that they are (or were) known for.
