When I reserved our table when we were about 20 minutes from the location (we were traveling from Baltimore) our table was ready earlier than expected. I called to alert the staff that we were delayed and was told to just check in when we arrived. Unfortunately we still had to wait about 1/2 hour for our table when we got there. - Although delicious, the steak bites were over seasoned and quite salty. Thank goodness the mashed potatoes were able to balance it out somewhat. All in all, I would definitely come again to try out some other menu items.

Fortunately, this saga has a happy ending: great wings and discounted beer. I think C3 Tavern BBQs their wings before finishing them off. They offer a house sauce and an Old Bay sauce, and if you ask nicely, they'll even do a 50/50 mix. The wings were meaty, flavorful, and cooked just right. The adventure didn't stop there. We took our wings across the street to Elk River Brewing, where they were trying to kick a keg and offering $3 draft specials. You know how I feel about beer and anything half-price. There was a concert in Elkton that night, so the brewery was filled with chatty, excited concertgoers. Between the wings, the beer, and the people-watching, it was a great afternoon filled with some of my favorite things.

I don't know what it is about Harford County but it's the last time I'll try to get a proper NY strip here. I should have known when it was only $52 on the menu. Steak & Main advertises "best steaks around" and serves the same 1/2" thin cut slice that looks like it came from Ponderosa but they charge $65 which is a ripoff. I like my steak rare and with a steak this thin, it's impossible but at least they were close. Again, stuff all over the top of the meat, a bit too much. Stroganoff - solid!! Dessert- Bananas Foster / solid!! My only gripe is the steak. We will be back for sure but I'm done trying to get one out and will just continue getting a nice cut from a butcher and treating myself at home.
