First off, I have to say I'm highly impressed and pleased with the service and spa facility. I have been searching for months for an esthetician that's knowledge and understands the challenges in treating skin issues in Black people. I love getting facials and chemical peels and I know that getting them can cause more damage if in the wrong hands... I booked a consultation facial with Giselle. She made sure I was comfortable with each step she took during the process. She explained products used and took before and after pictures. My skin issues are adult/ hormonal acne and hyperpigmentation. Giselle recommended I start with their acne facials and suggested products I should try. Since I'm tired of using OTC high end products with minimal results, I purchased the suggested products. And Wow !!! Results Results Results!!! I'm excited to continue my skin care journey with them. I was apprehensive about getting a Brazilian Wax. I had a terrible experience before and swore I'd never do it again, then life happened. If I could add more stars, I would. I found The Formula Skin Lab via Instagram, and had been debating for months about making a waxing appointment. I'm so happy I finally did because Kai is amazing! Kai was my waxing technician for today, and what a blessing she is. Upon meeting her, she is welcoming, and makes an effort to get to know you. She establishes a rapport with you and gets to know you and your skin before your appointment. She makes sure you're comfortable, and walks you through the whole waxing procedure, checking on you throughout. The results are amazing! I will definitely be a return customer! read more

Not sure about the skincare line used here but my skin felt and looked the same as if I bought products from CVS the facial was underwhelming for me. I also wasn't a fan of napkins being used to clean my skin versus a towel it felt rough. Giving a star because the front desk and esthetician were nice. I feel similarly to Chelsea below. The "facial" I received consisted of her washing my face 3 times and doing a hydra jelly mask AS AN ADD ON and toner at the end. I didn't even get moisturizer after the facial. It's a shame because she had a really nice facial massage technique so, initially, I had high hopes but she used like no products. I couldn't believe the price for a jelly face mask I paid additional money for. My skin is peeling two days later, and my skin never peels after facials. I wouldn't recommend this place at all as someone who does facials somewhat regularly. read more

I just got my second facial ever here at Formula Skin Lab. Giselle was so informative, and so sweet. She made me feel comfortable every step of the way. I got the microdermabrasion with enzyme peel service. I dont have much skin care issues or acne. I just want to correct an hyperpigmentation, close my pores and prevent aging. When I finished my facial, my skin immediately glowed and looked amazing. I did buy the medical grade skincare line with all the products. It was on the pricey side BUT it lasts 6 months. I haven't had a facial in over a year and decided it was time to get refreshed and renewed and unclog these pores! I was able to make the appt the same day with Nesha. The environment when I walked in had a calming ambiance and I LOVED the music playlist. I felt so comfortable and so good afterward. It's been a few days since I got the signature deep pore cleanser and I can still see and feel the difference in my face. I had a Brazilian wax scheduled today at 3:30 but unfortunately my Lyft driver completely dropped me off at the wrong location & I didn't notice until after he was gone. I called the spa and Heather answered the phone. I told her what was going on and she offered to pick me up since she was getting ready to run an errand and bring me to the spa. I was on a time crunch so I couldn't take her up on that offer but I was so touched that she offered to do that. She so graciously offered to squeeze me in when I got off work. I got there and I met Stephanie I, I told her this was my first time getting a Brazilian wax and I was nervous. Stephanie I was amazing & I forgot I was even getting a Brazilian wax most of the time.
