The Ranger that day followed us for 14 holes straight and I felt as if he had nothing better to do than to pressure us all day. At one point he told us we had to pick up pace of play which would be reasonable except we were following a group ahead of us and had to wait in between shots. We even finished 10 minutes ahead of pace. For how much you pay to play at this course, it's not worth it to be harassed by the Ranger all afternoon. Plenty of better courses around Indy.

This was the first full hole of golf I had ever played, so Saddlebrook will be a great memory in my heart. I have played many times since and still will come back here. This course is maintained; I would not say it is the best course I have ever played and that they keep it immaculate, but it is a great course to get in and out of. That being said, we have been slowed so many times here. I understand that it is a public type course, but there have been times when no carts are available for your tee time, and that should never happen. The play can be slow and I have not seen anyone doing anything to move it along. We are not all great golfers (well, some are), but we know how to play fast. I learned that at Saddlebrook, I also wish everyone else would play in that manner. Bathrooms are decent, drinks are available, and the carts are good. Port-a-potty was available in the back 9.

Too bad it's private and thus only open to members. It's a Pete Dye course, so from a player/spectator perspective, it's a golfer's paradise. I was astounded by the size of the course and beauty of it - hole #18 is quite a looker, as is the recognizable #6 with the red covered bridge. The BMW Championship was well executed despite the wacky weather that week. I was able to park in a field a few miles away and ride a shuttle to the course and quickly caught one back when I was ready to leave. The course was breathtaking in the crisp white and black BMW colors, but what else do you expect when BMW is the title sponsor? Crossing my fingers the tournament returns in 2020 so we can experience it again.

The course was always in great shape - bunkers raked, greens cut evenly, divots filled, etc. This is a very private course, and you need to be with a member to play. Fortunately, they have a prestigious caddie program that offers members a chance to play quickly, and vast community involvement for kids to learn lifelong skills. The members are overall very inviting, and the staff is very helpful - not only in the pro shop, but in the whole (beautiful) clubhouse itself. If you have any chance to play, I highly recommend!

Course is in excellent condition save for a few spotty tees. Greens are undulated and fast. Lots of water and doglegs. Also enjoyed the elevated tee shots and approach shots to uphill greens. Watch out for hole 2 I think it is-the water sneaks up on you. Facilities are excellent-clubhouse, snack bar, restaurant, putting green and driving range all first class. Also one of the friendliest and most helpful clubhouse attendants I've ever run across. Highly recommend this course! And almost forgot to mention-can't beat the price!! FYI-I was not offered a senior rate and did not ask for one as the web site did not display a senior discount. Would have been a bonus!!

I will try to keep this short because there were so many things perfect that I could go on and on…read moreand on!! My daughter had her wedding here on July 7, 2018 and it was PERFECT!! We booked this venue a year ago with Chaz and got worried around February because we could not reach her. Finally, we connected with Paige Carson, the new coordinator, and she is WONDERFUL! She was so responsive and catered to our every need. The most impressive part is how honest she was and told us the previous coordinator had over quoted us on several things! It is rare that your total price actually goes down when planning a wedding! LOL. Leading up to the wedding, she was so easy to work with and you could tell she really wanted everything to be perfect! Here is break down of my thoughts of Rehearsal and the wedding day: Rehearsal: Paige was awesome! She helped guide us through the walk through and worked extremely well with our Pastor. We had our rehearsal dinner here as well and the food was fabulous! We did a pasta bar and it was excellent. So much more relaxing than going to a restaurant and the price was so much better as well! Wedding: Oh my gosh! It was so perfect! We arrived at 8:00am to begin hair/make up and the room was perfect for the bride to relax and enjoy. We had mimosas and was able to bring in our own food for breakfast. We had them prepare our lunches and they happened to be grilling that day for lunch so we had great sandwiches, fries and salads. Again, excellent prices for a group our size! The guys arrived around noon and enjoyed time playing with the golf simulators and relaxing. Kurt, the general manager, made a point to meet each person and offer his services. The girls kept saying they love Kurt and he "was their friend"! Paige and her staff kept popping in to see if we needed anything. They were all very attentive! When it came time for the ceremony to start, Paige was right there guiding us and everything ran like clockwork! (later I found out she had to step in with the DJ and provide power cords that he forgot! Never did she bring that stress to me....she took care of it and I never knew!) Decorating Crew: AMAZING! Everything was absolutely beautiful! We simply brought in things we wanted to be used and they took care of it. They also have a backroom full of items that you can use. We used their easels, backdrop lighting and material and material for the arch. It was beautifully done! Food: Chef Jeff is beyond amazing! Never ever have I attended a wedding or large event with such wonderful food! We had plated dinners with choice of filet or parmesan chicken. Everything came out hot and perfectly prepared! We received so many compliments on how excellent the food was! It was so good that we are definitely going to come back for their Friday night dinners! Well, I said I was going to keep this short but well....too many wonderful things to say to keep it short!
