This place is HOME to me, my North Star. I started practicing Bikram yoga here in 2014 and I can honestly say it's one of the things that saw me thru the end of my marriage. I stopped practicing for a year, and thankfully found my way back in January of this year. My Bikram practice is physical, mental, and soul food. It's like a yoga class, therapy session, and sauna treatment all in one! I have been practicing yoga at this location for about 10 years. The staff has always been so kind and fun and wonderful! I know hot yoga can be intimidating. It is challenging. Especially your first few times. However, everyone in the class has been in your shoes and NO ONE judges you. I encourage you to try it. Start with the hour basic class. I began going to the old town scottsdale location of the foundry and completely fell in love with it! I am brand new to yoga but I don't feel judged in the class even though there are plenty of awesome yogis in there, everyone is really friendly. Good studio! A little sparse on the amenities, so go prepared. Change ahead of time, show up with your mat and water in hand, you'll definitely need both. Started doing Bikram yoga about 2 months ago and it has really help to transform my life. Before attending the classes I was having severe upper back pain and lots of associated joint pain. I am 37 and consider myself to be an athlete, so this was not acceptable. The first class was very difficult, both physically and mentally. But the 2nd class was much better and now I love every class. The instructors are all very good and very welcoming. My back pain is virtually gone, but joints feel much better and overall I just feel better about my heath and self. I would recommend this practice to anyone looking to transform their health and body. read more

Lots of class variety from yoga to pilates. Everyone is super friendly. Plenty of showers. I wouldn't recommend if you are not able to stand the stench, the studio has carpet so you can only imagine it just retains all that sweat! Good prices! read more

Class was great, and the instructor was wonderful. I wish I could give it more stars, but the (moldy?) stench of the carpet was unbearable and it made it extremely hard to concentrate! Also, I stepped into puddles of sweat in the carpet left over from the previous class. Really weird/ gross, I've been to a couple of different Bikram studios and never experienced this before. Maybe they're using the wrong type of carpet? Whatever it is, I hope they fix it! :/ read more

Originally practiced here a year ago but stopped going to this location because of how awfully disgusting the carpet was with sweat puddle stains and smell. I was recently told the place replaced their carpet, so I thought I would give it another try. While the carpet was not as stained the practice room holds such a strong foul odor I was unable to concentrate on my practice. Sad because this is a convenient location for me. Unsure why other Bikram locations can maintain a clean smell within their practice rooms but this location struggles. read more

This is my favorite place in the whole world. Seriously, I'm not joking. The staff are amazing, supportive, inspirational and super friendly. I used be a Bikram junkie, and when The Foundry starting adding HIIT, Pilates and Barre classes, I tried them all and I love them. This place has really been a life saver. The emotional and physical benefits of hot yoga have brought me through some tough times in my life. Nicole, especially, was so supportive of me during the pandemic when we were doing online classes only. Her amazing spirit is truly an inspiration. I'm currently addicted to the HIIT classes. Stephanie, Jessica and Julie are da bomb! I've been taking Blythe's Pilates Class every Sunday now for a while, and my chronic back pain is gone after 15 years! Kristin, the manager, is awesome too! I LOVE the foundry! All the people that I met here (teachers and other students) are great. Everyone is genuine, helpful, kind and cares. I had major surgery about 6 months ago and they were amazing. They helped me to make accommodations, encouraged me and inquired about how I was doing. The facility is great and the options are great. There are classes from early in the morning throughout the day to the evening, week days and weekends. There's always an option that will work for your schedule. The first month for $30 makes it so easy to start. I am grateful I found this studio. read more

I have never done Bikram before but I wanted to get a good workout. So far this place has been great. I've gone to a few classes and all the teachers have been challenging. $30 for 30 days is a good deal and you can use it for any class. I am trying to get in touch with the studio because I do not want to continue my membership and no one is responding (which is really annoying). Whenever I call, no one answers and no one has responded to my email. I live far away and have to leave class early and I get looks every time I leave. I do so quietly but it is not a good feeling. read more

Bikram is more than just exercise, and I recommend everyone give it a go, whether or not it's through BYAZ. Having never been to any other yoga studio I cannot say I have much to compare to. However, the price is reasonable, relatively speaking, I love most of the instructors, and most important, I feel welcomed and comfortable at the PV and Old Town locations. It is saying something that I have never been tempted to a membership in anything, and after 1 class (nearly a year ago), I was ready to sign up! My only negative comment is that they have changed the late classes at the old town studio to one hour classes. It doesn't seem fair to the people that work early and cannot make it to any other class to now not be able to get the 90minutes in at a reasonable time. I hate staying until 9 at night when I have to get up in the morning, so the 730 class is not always a good option. Anyway, this is beside the point, but maybe I'm hoping the studio will read my comments and consider changing an earlier class! read more

My home away from home for 10 years now. I always feel great during and after class, and between classes. I feel like I matter, and the staff and teachers are always professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They offer convenient class times and are always open, rarely closed. They are committed to the practice and yours. They offer creative class options and sales. I have really enjoyed The Foundry and the time I've spent practicing hot yoga, hot Pilates and have yet to go to hot barre. Before coming to BYPV, I had heard some good things and some not very good things too. However, after taking classes for three times, I was really beginning to like this studio. The teachers were all different in their own ways and they never failed to welcome everyone who came in and they knew everyone too!!! They had a good system going, the teacher would sit by the front desk, watch a student sign in and made a point of remembering that student. This works especially during class when the teacher would call the student by name and correct their poses. I learned so much and improved so much in my poses since the teachers would always try to make me do my best at each pose, making me believe that I can do better. This studio also seemed popular as their classes were always full, no more than 6 inches between mats! It can be good or bad once again but the energy is totally positive. The only drawback was the bathroom which is too small but everyone is always mindful & respectful of one another. Just remember to come always fully hydrated and be prepared to sweat... read more

They have a paradise valley and a Scottsdale locations I have been to both and I prefer their paradise valley location because it is bigger and nicer. The teachers are all great they always put on a great class and not once have I caught any of them on a bad day. They are also very clean and are by far the best bikram studio in town read more

Her passion and dedication for the practice transpire through her teaching, management and the studio. This studio is my mental health and zen. I have tried many types of yoga, but Bikram is the very best fit for my Type A busy mind. I try to go at least twice a week and notice a HUGE difference when i do not make it. It is so grounding. I am a big detox fan and attribute some of my clarity and vitality to this practice. They are always improving or creating challenges to engage those of us who have practiced for years so that it is never boring. read more

This is one of my favorite studios due to the fact they have plenty of room for your belongings and a great bathroom that has plenty of showers and space to change. The room itself is HUGE!! I like that I have so many options as to where I want to put my mat. The staff was ok...I wasn't the biggest fan of one of the teachers as she was not very friendly and just didn't seem happy, which is why I did not give them a 5 star rating. The other staff members seemed decent, but not the best I've experienced. If your in the area, I would definitely recommend giving this studio a try though! read more

Love this place - the people are always upbeat, energetic and want you to succeed. You feel very comfortable the moment you are greeted at the front desk and the teachers know how to motivate and inspire. I see some complaints on here about the smell and the fact there is carpet - here's my two cents. This is a hot pilates, hot hiit and hot yoga studio - everyone is going to sweat. I have also done these classes on wood floors and that is an injury waiting to happen - slippery floor with stretching poses - no thanks. The carpet and the zebra floor are the best flooring for doing these types of workouts. When you have so many people working out hard, there is going to be sweat, and with sweat comes some odor. If you went to a friends BBQ and it smelled like burgers, would that shock you as well? To be honest, I don't even notice it. If there is an odor, it's no different than any other workout I have been to in my past life - and I take boxing classes. So if we are talking odor, boxing and hockey are at the top of that list. If you are looking for a place to workout, feel welcome, push yourself to be better inside the room and out, then this is the place for you. Keep sweating and can't wait for my next class! read more

I have been practicing at BYPV since February 2011 and I absolutely love it. The instructors are awesome and genuinely care about your practice. They are always holding fun challenges and having parties to motivate you. The studio itself is extremely clean and spacious. Bikram yoga has done so many good things for me. I sleep better, eat less, I am hardly ever sick, and I never experience any aches or pains. I also lost 20 lbs. after completing a 60 day challenge. I found the foundry here on yelp and decided to do their unlimited two week special for $30. I've gone every day and in only two weeks I've lost 5 pounds and feel so much more energy! I'm amazed at the personal touches they have in this very busy yoga/Pilates studio. The instructors make it a point to remember your name and continually check on you to make sure you are comfortable and getting the best out of your work out. The facility is always clean and well lit. I also love the fact that they lock the front door once classes start. For two reasons: First, it makes me more responsible about being on time for class and second, I feel safe knowing some stranger is it going to walk in while we are in the middle of class. They have regular monthly challenges that keep you challenging yourself which is exactly what I need to keep me coming back! They are also very cognizant of any health issues you may have. I have two chronic injuries that prevent me from doing a lot of exercises but the girls always give me modifications to work the same muscles. I highly recommend the foundry! The only thing I would do to improve it is to add more Pilates classes, as they are my favorite! read more
