Pros: -The cast did a great job and was very enthusiastic with their performance! -I see the effort, they did a good job with what they had to work with. My kids enjoyed the show and it should be fun for HP fans. -The staff were all so nice and friendly Cons: -They sent a few emails recommending to come 1 hour before showtime so that's what we and the rest of the people did. The waiting area was a black tent with NO AC. It was over 100 degrees outside and people were dressed up in their house robes crowded together. It took 1 minute to get the tickets from Will Call and the rest of the hour was waiting in that sweltering heat. I'm not sure if it was just broken today since the tent at the end had AC, but people were miserable, young kids were complaining, crying etc. Do NOT come 1 hour ahead, 30 minutes should be enough. If you come earlier do yourself a favor and grab the tickets and wait back in your car with some AC and water. -Also, for the price I'm not sure if it's worth it unless you get an aisle seat.

The guides were friendly…read morefrom the start and offered to show us a historical documentary movie about the Native Americans that used to occupy the area. Afterwards, one of the guides led us to an area to create a game for the child in our group. She also chimed in about the exhibits and offered her knowledge, which we soaked up like sponges. She was great and answered all of our questions. This is a great place to stop by if you're in the area and wanting to learn about the history of the area.

We probably should have went when they first opened to beat the heat instead of walking around outside mid-afternoon. The volunteers at the entrance were really nice and helpful, our favorite was Max who took his time to explain the ins and outs of an F1 after helping our youngest climb into the cockpit. We purchased a few things at the gift shop, do we offer a military discount? Not sure because we weren't asked. There are many interesting things to browse around through here including a whole space section plus an underground bunker simulation, lots of hands on things that kept our kids occupied for a couple hours. My youngest was excited to find an f-15 outside, but bummed there were no f-18s that his daddy used to work on. All in all, it was an enlightening first experience, I love how all these volunteers are here doing something they love, although most seemed to just be there for social hour amongst themselves rather than speaking to the patrons. It was a fun family affair to kill time and learn new things!

We easily spent 3 hours here just looking around. There is free parking, a gift shop, old planes, new planes and so much. Plenty of room to walk around. Especially for my little one.

The variety of cars, over a couple dozen from the early 1900s to 1960s, were beautiful to behold. A 1960 Ford Thuderbird, 1951 Studebaker Commander, 1931 Cadillac, and 1931 Ford Victoria are samples of what you will see there, all stunningly restored. Placards at each car give detailed information about the vehicles. The museum also has historical information about the Motte family and the local area. If you come on a hot day as I did, you'll appreciate the air conditioning. The staff here are exceptionally kind and welcoming; Tommie, the museum director, was especially warm and sparkly. The building can be rented as an event center and is often used as a site for weddings. At the time of this writing there are expansion plans to display more cars in a separate building, but as is, this is one of my favorite classic car museums.

I was fortunate the first time coming to the museum there was an excellent speaker that shared the history of how Lake Perris came to be. It was very informative and I felt like I was taken back to that time just listening to this person speak. Coming back here I didn't get that history info but I had the chance to once again read up on the history of the Native Americans that passed through and also lived here. The reads and pics are very informative. You will find beautiful baskets and such that were weaved by the Natives displayed and protected in glassed enclosures. You will find a few things at the front desk for purchase. I wish they had stickers or postcards. During this visit, we met a volunteer who was friendly and informative. He was happy to engage conversation with those asking questions or willing to listen. This building offers a grand view of the Lake and mountains in the distance. You may also access the outdoor balcony to enjoy the grand view. Maybe call ahead to inquire of guest speakers or any other activities happening within the museum. It's worth the visit. If you are inclined, there is a trail for hiking just outside the museum. You may not want to attempt though during the summer heat.

Felt like we went through time travel because we were able to witness old fashioned interiors and antiques. Some of the furniture were still there since the 1800's. Amazing. Intrigued. Intricate details on the doors walls and furniture. Learned that Riverside was a very affluent city from oranges. Sugar was very valuable back then and Chinese servants worked at the Victorian mansion. Makes me appreciate how much technological advancement there has been to make the modern life more efficient and convenient.

We collect stickers and magnets so we picked one up at the gift shop. Afterwards we drove to the picnic side and went on a small walk along the grass area. Before leaving, there's the Gless Ranch Citrus Stand where you can buy fresh juice and snacks. We bought a freshly squeezed OJ and took some pictures at the entrance before heading out on the road. We'll be back in autumn during peak harvest season
