Love Fresh Market because it has different items not found other places. Reminds me a bit of my home town Sonoma Market. Some differences prices are a bit high. Staff okay, don't seem to go out of their way, which is strange considering the other grocery store staff in the area go above and beyond. Decent quality, yet slightly pricey goods. This is more of a specific/specialty destination for me, not a regular grocery shopping stop. What they do have is nice, but again, for me it's a bit on the pricey side (I can find better -- and cheaper -- produce at my local farmer's market). On a recent visit I was looking for two specific cheeses (Boucheron and Leerdammer), and I didn't see them in the cases, so I asked for help. The guy behind the cheese counter literally said to me, "I have no idea what you're talking about." Umm...ok...while that may be true, isn't it your job to try and understand and/or help somehow? Perhaps offer alternatives? Suggest something you think is similar and that I might like? When I explained that one was a French goat cheese and the other was a Dutch semi-hard cheese, I just got wave of the arm towards one end of the case and a, "The goat cheese is over there." My absolute favorite place to shop! Since I am a teacher on a nothing salary raising two beautifuld girls, it's a must to shop on a Tuesday. Chicken and Ground Chuck (not my favorite but theirs is yummy) is buy a pound get a pound free! They have an awesome wine selection and the shelf labels are informational. Each label has the wine's point value for last 2-3 years. For the price they sell an amazing wine, Sensi. Stop by for the sushi and paninis too! read more

Unfortunately, The Fresh Market is not as 'fresh' as they claim. They blur you in the eyes with the idea they are some all natural, organic grocery store, when in fact, they are not. Ever read the 'ingredients' labels on their items? Theres like 20 some ingredients for their chicken pot pie, when it takes half of that to make a real simple chicken pot pie. To my dismay, i had 3 chicken chunks in a mini chix pot pie, and it was like fake chicken. If you can't pronounce it, most likely its not natural. Yes they have delicious desserts, and a good selection of healthier snack options, vibrant produce, but they are not all they make out to be. A recent study was done on Chobani Dairy goods that there is gmo in their cow feed. 90% of fresh markets yogurt selection is chobani!! Despite my 2 stars, I go here a lot for lunch because its so close to work but I have to agree with some of the other commenters concerning the people who shop here. The workers are usually polite and helpful but many of the customers will try to barrel right into you unless you give them that look that "Homie Don't Play That" and even then some (old ladies I'm talking to you) won't back down. I love fresh market in Stuart , I've found the employees to be kind and helpful. However I have a couple small issues. I often go Tuesdays and some of the sale items are out of stock. Like organic milk this month. However I can get a rain check and that's a good thing! Also, I visited a Fresh Market in VA near Fairfax and there were samples all around the store. Maybe the Tuesday people because they are there for the specials don't get samples? That said, kudos for coffee samples which is a really nice treat. Then again like anything else there are those people who will take advantage of generosity and ruin it for those that just take one sample. Just some small pet peeves. I live in Tradition about 12 miles west of the Fresh Market in Stuart, but my Doctors office is located across the street from the Fresh Market in Stuart. So about twice a month after my Doctors appointment I would stop in Fresh Market and buy some items not readily available where I live. Having moved here from Wellington and lived by the Fresh Market at the Mall, I am familiar with the offerings of both the Deli and Meat departments. Not sure why but the employees in the Stuart are so "rude" and "inconsiderate" That I am shocked the Management team allows it to go on. The employees in the cold fresh food case are more interested in bullsh**ting among themselves than waiting on customers. Recently I had a wait number and stood by the case containing the ready made salads, chicken cutlets, meatballs and the like. I was the only customer there. After several minutes of watching the talking among themselves I raised my hand and said excuses me could I get some help please. Two of the clerks had a small argument over who would wait on me. By this time two woman got in line behind me, well to my dismay when the clerk finally made her way over she asked the woman behind if she could help them and told me they were in line before me. Not at all happy I said I was sorry but she was mistaken and I was there before the woman and the woman agreed. The clerk was totally rude and seemed "put out" while filling my order. No hi / hello or thanks / thank you when I finished my order. The employees at the Meat counter where I bought several steaks were just as hard to get waited on. They were also not very well educated on the product s they were selling. After 4 visits to the market and receiving similar service I smartened up and quit going there. I find the problems not the fault of the employees but instead the store management team for allowing this treatment to happen and go on. The employees are under trained in both product knowledge & customer service training. That is the fault of a "poor" management team starting at the top store manager, to him / her I say get off your ass and do your job. I will never return and instead have taken my business down the street to the Sprouts market where the shopping experience is much better. read more

This was my first time here. My grandmother wanted to grab a sandwich. We went to the "order sandwiches" place then were ignored for about 5 minutes. Finally someone asked if we were being helped and we said no. She told us we needed a number, even though we had seen multiple people go up before us and not order numbers. The woman who helped us was rude and when we ordered our sandwiches looked confused. Like she didn't understand what we wanted. The butcher/seafood staff are really knowledgeable and if you don't see what you want on display just ask, more than a few times they have had it in back. I'm at the Fresh Market at least 4 times a week. Their butcher department is totally on point, always lots of pre-seasoned chicken dishes to take home and cook. Their sushi is crazy good - seriously, if you haven't tried it you are missing out. It's a nice quick option to grab when on my lunch break. The other item I love to pick up is their roasted chicken breast. It is super tasty and makes dinner easy. I've always had good experiences with the staff here as well. I'm in there so much that they always recognize me and give me a warm hello. Oh, also if you haven't tried their turkey bacon - do it soon. Last night arrived at 8:45pm to grab a few items right 9pm closing time l still needed something off the fresh salad olive bar and was denied a utensil to scoop some items and was told they were closed and to check out and leave the store by a women breaking down the bar and as rude and nasty as can be. MOD said nothing as l was checking out and complaining to the cashier. I had friends waiting on me to cook dinner otherwise l would have left everything at checkout. You pay a premium for groceries at Fresh Market for quality and service, but not close to closing time..... They shouldn't let you in if you can't finish shopping as l had a basket not a shopping cart. MOD should take some training refresher classes on customer service. I shop at the Stuart store many times during the year. Have also recommended it to other people who love it. No problems with any of the employees. Food is great. It is not a standard grocery store so if that is what you're looking for then go to Publix. All of the prepared food at the deli is delicious and meat department is great. Bakery top notch too. Coffee, wines and special frozen items are great. Different than normal items so I make several trips to get them and I live in Port St Lucie. read more

This is an update to my previous review when the store opened. Unfortunately, things have only gotten worse, as service has deteriorated even more over the years (poor management). Employees are resentful of the poor working conditions (they freely tell you how underpaid and unappreciated they are), and this reflects on the way they treat customers. In particular, the butcher counter and deli counters are frequently understocked, even on Specials items, and the service is terrible. This is a shame as the food is really good, even though high priced. My guess would be that in the end, they will go out of business as their highly leveraged buyout will collapse in this challenging environment. read more

ZERO STARS: We ordered the Thanksgiving meal box and it was AWFUL! We threw out the leftovers. The turkey didn't smell or taste right. My husband loves their prime meats and gourmet seafood. I love the feeling of sophistication at Fresh Market and the friendliness of the staff, but that's where I draw the line with the compliments. The food is decent, but not for that price. There is also not a large variety of food so you can't make it your go to store for grocery shopping during the week. My worst complaint by far though has to be the customers. They act as though they own the place, and I see many people throwing each other constant looks. You have surpassed and outshine the selection at Publix. 90+% of my purchases are in the produce dept. The staff is STELLAR, EXCEPTIONAL, always and forever helpful and courteous, however, Lori seems to not be comfortable working w/ the customers/public (this is the experience of multiple customers) and does not offer the CUSTOMER SERVICE that is THE FRESH MARKET brand. If staff feels bothered and put upon by customer questions, maybe another dept without customer contact is optimal for all parties. I am not offering five stars only because of the continual discomfort we experience by dealing with this particular staff. Just left fresh market in stuart fl.at the fresh meat butcher counter . took a number behind one person. he was taken care of . at least 6 workers totally ignored me. i waved my arms and finally one informed me that what i wanted was at the deli counter so i took a number there and was alone with five workers ignoring me so i waved both arms. the woman from the butchers side that sent me there came over and saw my number and she finally said to them he has # 27 is alone will someone help him please. 3 looked at us and finally one said to another-he needs help. This location is similar to all others in terms of what they offer. But, if you're looking for something vegetarian, don't even bother. I went here for lunch and not one of the soups were vegetarian. They had tomato basil (made with beef broth), chicken noodle, and broccoli cheddar (made with chicken broth). Really? A specialty grocery store needs to put animal stock in its vegetable soups? Also, had the sushi and it was not, as they claim, "made fresh daily." The rice was stale and the fish smelled old. Also in terms of fish, the only fresh salmon I saw being sold was farmed. Really disappointed in this store. Not sure if this is representative of all Fresh Markets, as the one in Aventura always seemed good, but the one here in Stuart is really lacking. read more

I would compare this to a Wegman's or an H.E.B. Central Market but on a smaller scale. This is a great place to shop if you are looking for something special or just enjoy gourmet groceries and an abundance of fresh, organic produce. They have a nice prepare- food & deli section, a wonderful seafood section and an olive bar. There is seating outside (4 seat tables with umbrellas) which is really nice when you just want to grab a quick bite to eat and not go back to your car to scarf it down.
